Go on record. Who do you want?
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to The Voice of Truth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aaron Donald. I've been thinking that for a few weeks now. -
Does anyone think DT is now a need?
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to HerdMenatlity1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been thinking for weeks the Bills could be "lying in the weeds" for Aaron Donald, as I think he's one of the best players in the draft. He's a tweener in size between DT/DE but who cares. If they do draft him theres a lot of ways they can use him. -
Heard on Sirius NFL that the Bills are attending his pro-day. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif http://www.montrealg...2921/story.html

Don't trade back, take HIM at 8
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like to see the Bills trade back and get extra picks, but I think the Jets are going to be a problem. If they have #9 and #13 (Revis trade) I would think one of those picks will be a QB for them. This is not the time to fool around. -
Jeff Tuel - QB - Washington State

Looks like he only has played out of the shotgun. -
JETS RELEASING SIONE POUHA
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, didn't realize he was 34. Pass. -
According to the draft value chart we'd probably owe Minny a 4th. http://walterfootball.com/draftchart.php I'd make that trade though. I think Buddy overvalues the draft board and staying put. If you "stay with the board" there is always players you have ranked and you take the appropriate ones at #23 & #25. With only six picks in the draft I think the Bills need to try and maximize their return. Once you get outside the top 5 the draft is a crapshoot anyway, especially this one.

I had to say CB. Gilmore is the only real starter; McGee should retire, Williams can't play, McKelvin is unrestricted, and that leaves unproven Ron Brooks and Justin Rogers. Having said that imagine if we were able to draft Kuechly last year. Gilmore was a good pick I think though. 1. DB 2. LB 3. QB

Let's spend one of our 4ths on another OT
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to Hazed and Amuzed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had the same thought about Massey last night. Hairston/Glenn/Pears and then Massey would be a solid group to work with. I don't know about Sam Young---I don't think he's ever played. Cousins might be the best available in 4th at Bills pick. I don't see anyone ahead of us taking him unless there is a trade-up. Alfonzo Dennard the CB from Nebraska is still available, what's the story with him? The highest graded player available other than Massie. -
I thought JP meets Blaine Gabbert.

For the Russell Wilson Fans
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to jocap55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In any draft take where you think a QB SHOULD be drafted and move him up a round, maybe a round and a half. If you want Wilson you'll have to probably take him in the 3rd. Take the height issue away he's probably the 4th best QB prospect. -
My annual rant about draft value.
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that's exactly it. There's usually 4 to 6 slam-dunk blue chip players in every draft you would be crazy not to pick. After that is the temptation to reach for need vs. best player/value on the draft board. I have a feeling the Bills will have a lot of DE's staring them in the face where they now already filled via free-agency. -
Bills trading up for Tannehill?
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A good rule of thumb in playing NFL Draft poker: create artificial demand for a pick in case you need to trade back and pick up and extra pick or two that you seek. -
Gailey REALLY should be fired
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to BuffaloWest's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Having about 1/3 to 1/2 of the roster not NFL-caliber players is grounds for dismissal? -
Marshawn and McGahee wouldn't have been a problem if the Bills were winning. My two cents.

I thought McKelvin played better off the bench the last couple of weeks, like he was gaining confidence. I didn't think he had a great game against the Jets. Not completely horrible, but not great. I was watching Kyle Arrington of the Pats during the Pats/Giants game. Now, he's REALLY bad.

Moondoggies/Naked City Pizza. It is across town from UNLV though. I was there two weeks ago after the game. I guess the place was packed at 8am. http://www.yelp.com/biz/moon-doggies-las-vegas I went to the Hilton (which is much closer to UNLV) for the Bills/Giants game and they show all of the games in a large theater-like atmosphere. Pretty cool.

Troup injured in practice
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So did I. The Denver game especially. All of a sudden I see people trashing him like he can't play. We can also wait and see what happens when REAL games begin. -
Darius Butler-CB released (Patriots)

Crap. -
A 2nd round pick and only started a handful of games in 2yrs. Hmmmm. Considering the lack of depth I wonder if the Bills would be interested? http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=32940&draftyear=2009&genpos=CB

I know the Bills have options with the O-line
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The FA market has really dried up and as I figured any O-lineman with any sort of pedigree signed with a contender. It will be REAL interesting to see what they come up with if the Bills actually need to sign someone. -
Cut most shocking to you
DanInSouthBuffalo replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not really shocked that Wang and Hangartner were cut, but that they also cut Wrotto AND Howard was a "wow" for me. I figured at least one (probably Wrotto) would make it. I have a feeling Roosevelt could be back sooner than you think.
