We lost to a backup coach today
TheMadCap replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm ok with Nix, at least he's done ok with some first and second rounders (Spiller, Gilmore, Glenn), but I would be willing to try an unknown college coach at this point. We know Gailey sucks, and nothing will really change until Ralphmis gone, so why not take a chance? -
Someone needs to find the clip of Sanchez last year against Baltimore, where late in the game he was so sick of getting crushed, he sees the rush coming, he throws the ball away fast and actually dives to avoid contact! I lol'ed!

Romney's Unbusinesslike Campaign
TheMadCap replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I think that is quite obvious now. The President could have gone on live TV and stomped out a litter of puppies and still would have won. And the media would have spun it as "evil, wall street, 1%er puppies, bent on biting grandma in the ass"... -
yeah, it's such a dark work. There was so much more evil things in there. I have repeatedly said that if they get even half as dark as the book, this show will be pushing it. They started down that path a bit when the kid Randall admitted being a party to gang rape of two teenagers in front of their father under questioning, but the GN gets sooo much worse. Like these (SPOLIERS): 1. the three redneck dudes trying to rape Carl at the gas station, Rick has to chew through the one guys neck. Carl admits he was glad Rick killed the three. 2. The big blond guy (can't remember his name) telling Rick how his neighbors gang raped his wife and 8 year old daughter, and how he had to kill them all, even the teenage kid who used to cut his grass. 3. The hunters subplot. The guys who ate thier own children and were trying to pick off the group, only to be taken apart piece by piece by Rick and company. 4. Rick and Michonne's treatment in Woodbury, and teh subsequent revenge on the Governer by Michonne.

Given a choice between the three, I'd rather have a show with BOTH Lori and Carol over Andrea, hands down. I hope the Governers daughter eats her for lunch...

no, I think (key phrase in this response " I think") that it is much worse to run up the score and humilate your opponent. My opinion is that if it was generally accepted as worse to call off the dogs, you would have many more teams running up the score in the NFL. Most teams take the option of taking a knee rather than having your first team frantically throwing the ball, up more than 25 points late in the 4th quarter. Clearly, you and I disagree, which is cool. Not everyone agrees all the time.

no, one of the Woodbury citizens (a woman, don't remember who) blew Lori away as she was fleeing the prison, killing both her and the baby. When she found out that there was a baby, and that the prison people were not the evil folks the Governer protrayed them as, she lost it and blew the Gov away with the same shotgun...

I agree you cannot let you children go nuts in public. However, I have found that the most intolerant people when it comes to small children are people without kids. I was that way once, then I had my own kids. I definitely do not allow poor behavior in restaurants, but I do cut other parents a bit of slack they didn't get before. Believe me. most actual parents are the most bothered by thier kid's poor public behavior...

They are very soft against the run. Forecast calls for mucho Spiller and Jackson!

Here is what I don't get about GMO, or whatever you want to call them: there are currently, what? 6.5 billion humans on Earth? What the hell would you like to feed the planet with? Without fertilizers and modifiying plants to grow in drier climates, we will starve. I simply do not see any way around that. However, as Chef points out, eating smarter can make a difference too. Don't cram yourself with soda, fatty, salty foods, and have a minimum abount of excercise and you will be better off. I cook as much as possible for the family as I can, and try to teach the boys that they need to eat healthier foods. They don't get soda, and I push fruits as much as possible. We limit junk food snacks. I would like to get suggestions from you guys as to what kind of stuff you suggest for making meals at home (30-45 minutes max cook time) for a family with two small boys...

Confirmed by ESPN. They went ahead and got married Tuesday as scheduled. Funniest comment in the article: "This marriage will last until the end of time, signed, The Mayans"

The CVS near my house has a door sensor that for some reason LOVES to chime when I walk through it. Both ways too. I am not sure if there is some alien device implanted in my head that sets it off or what. Sometimes when I am walking out and the buzzer starts going, I like to stop, look around quickly and suspiciously, yell out "RUN FOR IT" and take off out the door...

I see she must have bought into Sharon Stone's "backing him off" technique in the movie "Casino"...
