  1. I'm sorry but I don't trust Omon to be the backup RB right now. Fred needs to be back there to be a calming presence for TE in the passing game when the RB has to help in pass protections. A rookie RB will be destroyed if given the assignment of learning all those protections in 1 week. I was thinking that we would activate Johnson if we can to replace Roscoe. Both he and Jenkins did surprisingly well in the preseason. It's time for these youngsters to learn this position because isn't Reed's contract almost up anyway---like a year or two away? The onus is on Hardy to show what he can do. He is so physically imposing he ought to do what Moulds used to do in press coverage---pick up the DB and put him aside. I think route running and footwork is what is keeping James from being used more in the pass game. Now, Leodis gets to return punts and get more touches. This isn't a bad thing, folks.
  2. You're not putting this into perspective. Jason is a bonafide PB LT and could be an All-Pro but nobody of his caliber gives up 3 HUGE HEAVY hits in back to back games that caused turnovers. The man lied when he said he was in game shape. You can run up any mountains to keep in shape but only live action gets you ready for the season. With easy sorry performance, Peters is costing himself hundreds of thousands of dollars. You'd think he would've pondered the ramifications of his actions. He really needs to turn it on and make the PB if he really wants to land that huge contract he desires.
  3. I went on record as saying that he wouldn't be ready to play until at least week 3 if we were lucky. IMO, we didn't need Peters to play in that Jags game because Walker and Chambers did an excellent job at their respective positions the week before. Why mess up a good thing? We all knew that Jason had to be activated before the Raiders game but that didn't mean he had to start. The way the season has shaped up we didn't really need him to start until the Cardinals game. I believe the only reason he got snaps so early is because we lack depth on the line. Bell is the only other OT on the roster right?
  4. Some of us have been bashing the Center and RG all last year into this one. This is where alot of the pressure comes from and why we can't run effectively. Langston can't do it all over there by himself.
  5. Does the NFC opponent really matter? If our players can't match theirs then a win will be highly unlikely. The question is: do we have the personnel to win it all this year??
  6. Amen brother! You can't fumble the ball or have it intercepted when you're on your back. Was Hoculi in Buffalo Sunday?
  7. Don't kid yourself; good teams always beat the bad ones, esp when it counts. We should beat them easily if the line shows up to pass and run block. Faders were almost handed a game.
  8. I remember seeing that during our SB run, particularly the Comeback Game.
  9. You haven't followed Randle-El's career have you? Both by Pittsburgh and Washington, he's been used in some trickery that has accounted for several positive plays. But this man knew he had to concentrate on one thing and one thing only to succeed; so he decided on WR after some coaxing, I believe. Smart move. If Young doesn't want to become a pocket passer, then he should find another position to excel in. "Slash" type QB's don't go very far and none have made the SB. McNabb concentrated on learning the position and stopped scrambling as the first option when they won their NFC Championship.
  10. I'd have to side with him because he makes very valid points. You have to blame the DC for not adjusting after the very first trick play. If you can't, then you have no business coaching in the NFL. This reminds me of the 1993 AFC Championship game when the Doll Fans absolutely refused to believe that we would dare to try another screen to Thurman after it worked great initially. I guess they were looking forward to an early winter vacation. You don't think Fewell was making sure another slot receiver didn't have quite the easy time after that 84 yard TD? I don't think Russell attempted another pass in that area afterwards. Off topic: I don't get the paranoia of Red Sox fans after winning two WS. To them I guess, the Yankees won those.
  11. You ought to be more pissed if you're a season ticket holder and the Bills didn't give you a discount for only 7 home games this year! You'll have to buy a 9th ticket if you want to see that game in Canada. I'm pretty sure this has been confirmed by other Bills fans.
  12. He and Owens are both fags. Real men don't get emotional about the stupidest sh--.
  13. Saw both last nite. I miss Chris Brown's 17 min highlight reels tho.
  14. If we learned anything from the lack of pressure in the Raiders game and repeat it again, Arizona could seriously embarrass us. BTW, Trent Green is in for the Rams now and this isn't looking like a win either unless we run the ball A LOT better.
  15. No. Prayers were answered when our last OC was released from his "duties" and the line decided to pass block alot better. Run blocking is awful and we're lucky to be 3-0. Jauron threw Lynch under the bus last year because he "wasn't running hard enough". LOL. You can't run into non-existent holes or up the backs of your linemen. Seriouly if we had Fred Jackson starting a whole game by himself, he'd get murdered with the punishment Marshawn takes needlessly. It's been D and teams that has kept us in games. Make no mistake about that. TE has had sure handed receivers who have helped him out in those come-from-behind wins. His unreal completion rating in the 4th quarter is no joke and we can only hope the line can provide better protection in the first 3 quarters of games. Sadly, we are leaving way too many points out on the field against teams that are bad right now.
  16. I wager that the entire sideline saw that and appreciated it for him!!! Some might say that the 14 yd Parrish TD was the game changer but IMHO, Whitner's take no sh-- attitude was it. What made me angry is Jauron's comments regarding this in his post game PC. He didn't like it and hoped that Donte wouldn't repeat it.
  17. Are you serious? If something happens to TE do we still keep winning? Would you be ok if the Bills tanked the season after that? This is about winning and making the playoffs not politicking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JP knows he's playing for another contract and would be totally stupid to play with less than 100% effort.
  18. I haven't seen that till just now. It blew my mind. Why are they "praying" he makes it? Do they lack confidence in Rian on a 38 yd FG? This isn't the Super Bowl, btw. TE admitted that they weren't prepared for the blitzing they got for 3 quarters. I find this disturbing. Of course you blitz a rookie QB and do it often esp., when they lack a formidable running game. The coaching staff almost cost us this game.
  19. Let's face it folks the D-line should've absolutely destroyed the Raiders and we should've routed them. You can't blame one player. They nearly got 100 yards rushing and the Faders shouldn't have come close to that #. Our O-line was manhandled for 3 quarters and this shouldn't have happened either. Again we have no running game to speak of. The Faders are a lot worse than you can actually imagine.
  20. The same should be happening to the Cheatriots! Karma can be a real b!tch.
  21. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/ Check out the NFL frontpage for CNNSI.com
  22. Confused once very likely; confused twice and there after on the same play impossible!!! Sorry but each time the formation was the exact same when they ran the ball. This would only confuse people who are bed ridden by coma.
  23. I do. If the Bears really tank it, they'll find a replacement game.
  24. On "Around The Horn", before that show aired, the same question was asked of the 4 panelists. The bald guy from Boston said Buffalo, forget his name.
