Wow, did I strike a nerve BADOLBILZ? I don't need explaining from you on how teams run these days. I have let go of the 1990's, but I don't need your permission. My point is Josh and Diggs are running this show IMHO, where the 90's Bills had a lot more to work with. As for teams being top heavy, oh, I don't know, try telling that to The Bengals, 49ers, Eagles, hell, even The Dolphins. Those teams look pretty stacked on talent on all sides of the ball. I have been a fan since 1988, and may have "28 posts", but have been a part of this forum since 2004. I used to post at BillsZone too, back in the day. Hell, we can add Twitter and Reddit while I am at it. Can I maintain my Bills fan card? I feel the same way. How can a long time Bills fan complain about him? Like, how? I get that he had a lot of turnovers last year, and I honestly think his elbow was a big source of a lot, and sometimes he would make a bad decision. Guess what? They all do. I do believe there was a game last year in which Mahomes threw about 3 INT's(I think it was against Denver) and Joe Burrow sure as hell wasn't lighting it up against the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs. Took a Ravens player fumbling the ball and Cincy running it back to win that game. Acting like Josh isn't something special is mind boggling, and makes me think it is either people who did not like it when we drafted him and didn't want to be wrong(though you would think in this case Bills fans would be happy to be wrong), trolls or just plain old self loathing people. I don't get it.

I agree with you. How can you be a Bills fan, suffer for many years after all those SB losses with a horrible drought, and then complain about a QB who has taken us very close to the promise land? I honestly did not think I would see something like that again in my lifetime. Instead, I see "what if we got Mahomes??" and a good number of people tearing Josh down, acting like he's not one of the best things to happen to this franchise in a long time. It's mind boggling. I am not saying that he doesn't make mistakes or doesn't have things he can improve on/fix, but really? I also don't think Mahomes works magic here in Buffalo anymore than Josh does. We don't have Andy Reid, and I do like Sean a lot, but he's not Reid.

No I have not been a fan for two years. I have been an avid Bills fan since 1988. No knowledgeable person thought Josh would win MVP? You serious? He came in 2nd in 2020, and quite frankly I think he should have gotten it that year. He was very much in the race last season, till his elbow injury. I don't understand fans of this team, who claim to be lifelong, bitching so much about a QB who has pretty much brought this organization back to life, especially after a 17 year drought. It's freaking strange to me. This team is not stacked like the 90's Super Bowl teams were. We got Allen, and we got Diggs. That is it. There are no Kent Hulls on this team, or Howard Ballards, no James Lofton type, no Thurman Thomas type RB's, certainly no Bruce Smiths. I don't get the comments about Allen over on this forum, and it's something I have noticed since the season ended. I never said you "hated" Allen. I don't know you enough to know that. I just don't think his offseason has any bearing on how he will play. If he wants to golf and go on dates with Hailee Steinfeld, I don't think that is remotely an issue. He shows up at OTA's and all that, and aside from that, we literally have no idea what is happening behind the scenes as far as what he is doing in the off season. Just because we don't see it, doesn't mean it's not happening.

He was very much in the MVP race, are you serious right now? Are you really a Bills fan or just a troll in the guise of a Bills fan? I see a lot of that over here. People who show up to pick on Allen or the team. I can't help but side eye. You do realize that Mahomes and Burrow also had a ton of INT's too, right? I could have sworn that Dak Prescott led the league in turnovers, but I could be wrong. Either way, people just use Josh's turnovers as an excuse to discredit him as a QB. It's all they have at this point. Josh is a gunslinger, and turnovers are a part of his play. I am not saying he can't clean those up or make better decisions, but he is the main reason the team is in these games, or winning them. Two 13-3 seasons and one 11-6. It's not like he is costing the team games with turnovers, aside from the Vikings game. He is high risk/high reward, and usually the reason the team is on the winning side of games. BTW I said your "take was dumb", not you.

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)

I know the song, and even though I read your reply early and not fully awake, I still read it in the form of this song, this one song that I can think of with my name in it 😕 -

I think what happened with Mahomes last season, and losing Tyreek, is what is giving other teams(including us) hope, but going into last season I felt we had the better overall offense than KC. As the season went on, I started to feel differently. None of KC's receivers were on Diggs level, but they were a pretty solid overall group. I thought they were better than Davis. I know Davis was hurt a lot last season, and had ankle issues, but I still thought last year was a big disappointment. The Giants last year reminded me a little of our 2019 season. That's fine, but at least I am on the same page as Bill Barnwell. Bill Barnwell and I can be ludicrous together. -

Okay, if Diggs were to get hurt and be out, you still feeling good about the offense? I for one am not. My opinion though, and I am standing by it. Allen and Diggs carry the offense, and make the offense look a hell of a lot better than it would be without either of them. If that makes my opinion "ludicrous", then so be it. -

This. Also, my whole point is I don't think we have enough talent outside of Allen and Diggs, compared to other teams. I feel like people are just focusing on my thoughts on the Patriots and how I feel their offense might look with Hopkins. I know The Bills will probably go in and do what they always do, win games, score a lot of points etc It's that I don't know that we have enough to get past teams like The Bengals and Chiefs. I was honestly hoping Beane would work on making this offense unstoppanle in the offseason, and forget about the defense. We went to the AFCCG in 2020 with a mid(being generous here) defense and explosive offense. We already know Diggs will be double covered, and then we gotta rely on Davis and hoping he can relive that 2021 divisional game magic? Maybe he does. Maybe Shakir breaks out. Who knows? I just wish there were more done this offseason. JMHO. -

I said what I said. I think they would have an overall more solid offense. Great rb. JuJu is pretty solid. Gesicki? Same. Hopkins??? I think they are in contention with their overall talent, even with freaking Mac Jones or Baily Zappe at QB. A decent qb with a lot of talent around him can make a team scary. Does this mean that is how it will play out? No, we won't really know until the season starts, but I don't like the idea of us having Allen and Diggs keeping this team afloat for the 4th season in a row. I already said Mac or Zappe is not equal to Allen, but an overall solid offense vs two star players carrying a team? That is how I feel, and how I have felt for a couple years now. Outside of Allen and Diggs, we have Davis?? Knox(I love Knox btw) whom IMHO is hit or miss. We have Kincaid, and he might be great, but he's a rookie, and I don't want to get my hopes too high over a rookie. -

I have a lot of thoughts that I have been keeping to myself, in fear of just sounding too negative, but I am at the point of imploding. If Hopkins goes to the freaking Patriots, then I feel like that team(aside from QB) is already better than The Bills on offense. Do I think Hops is better than Diggs? No, but their overall weapons vs ours, as a whole, would seem stronger. I am just feeling disgruntled these days, because we finally have this elite QB who carries our team year in and out, but very little is done to help him get over the hump. Our best weapon is Diggs, and god forbid, what if he got hurt? Then what? We keep coming up short every year, and aren't doing really anything to get past teams like The Chiefs and Bengals, and now there are some other emerging teams, like The Jags etc Outside of Allen and Diggs, I feel like our offense doesn't compete with some of the other offenses in the AFC. I know The Chiefs are a little suspect, but they do have Kelce, and a solid group of receivers and solid offensive line. Obviously the Mahomes/Reid two headed monster is a huge part of their success. I guess I just feel like Brandon Beane is too worried about the future and spending too much money and how it will impact the future, so instead we keep staying competitive but coming up short every year. I am worried Josh's best years are perpetually being wasted! If Hopkins doesn't sign with us, and signs with a team like The Patriots or Ravens, I'm gonna be so sick. -
This is such a dumb take. I am sorry, but it is. If we are going to complain about Allen dating a movie star and doing golf outings, we would have to do the same for Diggs and his modeling. FWIW I have no issues with either. I have no worries about either of them regarding being focused and driven when it comes to Football, at all. They both prove it year in and out. Josh being in commercials did not hinder his performance last season. He was well in the MVP race till he got an elbow injury. These guys are allowed to have lives and other interests in the off season.

I saw that rumor too, but it is stemming from speculation from fans, and gaining traction because that is what rumors do. At this point it is getting out of hand. If Josh slept with Diggs girl, then yes, it would explain some things, but how long can this go on and when does it end? Let's say this is true, and not only did Josh sleep with Diggs girl, and a bartender, and a nurse, and Hailee Steinfeld...when do they start to move forward? This is silly.
-
THIS!! This is just getting absurd at this point. I personally think Josh cheated on Britt with Hailee Steinfeld, and Britt even alluded to it, but should not be the front and center of this ordeal. It's just giving some of Josh's haters on this board more reason to take the focus off Diggs attitude and lowkey try and place it on Josh. Josh cheating or whatever happened, should not be the focal point of Diggs missing out on camp and acting the way he is.
-
So it looks like The Bills did not unfollow Diggs, but that he blocked them. A tell tale sign is not seeing the teams "likes" on his posts anymore. Also, I am listening to Muki Hawkins right now, and he already stated he knows what went down, and his podcast is very Ken Dorsey centric and sounding like Dorsey is the issue in this drama.

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
ALG1130 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I for one am bummed, especially if he joins The Patriots. What I say right now might be controversial, but I have been so disappointed in the way Diggs has been acting, and is STILL acting this offseason, and it's been making me think about a lot of things. I really wanted a Deandre/Diggs duo, but if Diggs is truly as unhappy as he is portraying, and still continues to throw shade at Josh, then I would almost rather have a great receiver who actually WANTS to play with Josh, and if Diggs wants to go, let him go. At this point I think Diggs is the better receiver, but Hopkins is pretty damn great too, and I am just over the drama and worrying about team chemistry. -
I don't think this Bob Jones person is even a Bills fan. He just screams "troll" to me, and has since he started posting here. Probably a Chiefs, Bengals or divisional rival fan under the guise of a Bills fan.

I want to start off by saying, I love Brandon Beane. I never thought we would have another guy by the likes of Polian again in this organization, and he is so damn funny and charismatic, and for the most part has made some epic moves. However, in the Josh Allen era, I am not totally convinced he has done enough to put the team over the edge. I cannot stomach watching other AFC teams with better offensive lines and weapons and watching Josh try to do it all himself. Diggs is great, but we know he is always going to be double teamed, and we really don't have someone of his caliber to take the heat off him. It's not just The Chiefs and Bengals we gotta worry about, but a number of AFC teams are starting to rise. The Ravens still exist, The Chargers, our own division, The Jaguars. I feel like all those teams are more stacked on offense, but we have the QB. I think signing DHop would be huge!! It would make our offense impossble to stop. I want Beane to do all he can do while we have Josh to help get this team past the teams that keep ending our run.

I think so. There were rumors of them about a month ago on reddit, and they shared the same box at the Kentucky Derby.
