Please tell me the OL is not going to be like this all year

Josh Allen "Return of The Blue and Red" Mic'd Up
ALG1130 replied to Warcodered's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really don't think it's that serious. -
I definitely agree, but his face definitely lights up like a Christmas tree once an interviewer alludes to Hailee, or their relationship. I don't think he will ever not be private about this stuff, but body language is definitely a thing.

Sportico releases 2023 NFL franchise valuations (Bills at 29)
ALG1130 replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
We were dead last a couple years ago, so I think they will keep moving on up, especially if they keep winning and of course the new stadium. -
You make so many great points, and while I have slightly worried that Josh might be distracted with not being around Hailee as much once the season starts(especially since their relationship seems relatively new) and how it might affect him, in some ways it is good that he might have more downtime to study film a lot more, and all that type of stuff. Every time Kyle Brandt tried to bring up Brittany or get him to talk about her, he never had much to say. Kyle would ask him if she would watch Football with him, and he said no and that she would watch The Kardashians/E!. I feel like he found his match with Hailee.

I mean, I guess you have not seen the endless amount of coverage from various outlets about not only Josh's breakup with Brittany, but his relationship with Hailee Steinfeld, along with the endless coverage about Diggs and Diggs and Josh's relationship. There has been talk about them this offseason, even if it wasn't talk about the teams trajectory. Your takes on this are a little bizarre 🤔

You do realize that The Bills are tied with KC and Dallas for the most primetime games this year, right? Can't do the self victimizing "oh woe is us/small market" nonsense if you can't find something to get upset about. Nevermind The Bills being tied with KC, Dallas, L.A. Chargers for the most primetime games. Dallas and L.A. being enormous markets. That really screams of disinterest in the "small market Bills" 🙄Then we have a QB who is a star, went into last season with #1 sales in Jerseys, commercials left and right. It's just such a silly take at this point and I can't believe some of the fans are trying to still use this angle.

This is one of Josh's better acting jobs. He is improving in that dept, and so cool to see him getting these national ads.

Oh brother. I am not talking about them like I know them "personally". Obviously I don't. What I do know, like the rest of us know, is that they are quite possibly in the honeymoon phase of their relationship and yeah, that CAN be a distraction. I am not saying it WILL be, but it's a possibility, and just one more thing along with a whole lot of other things going into this season that aren't making me feel super optimistic.

I'm going to be honest about how I am feeling, and it's just really negative at this moment. This doesn't mean I am right, and most likely probably not right in the slightest, but I just don't feel good about things. I don't even know where to begin. I wasn't happy with how last season ended, and it has carried through this whole off season. It wasn't even just the injuries piling up, I just felt like all the games in the latter half of the season felt like a huge struggle. We often came back and won those games, but I never felt good or comfortable with them. I never feel satisfied with our defense. I wasn't crazy about the moves we made in the off season, or lack thereof. I am not thrilled with our WR room. I love Diggs, but am tired of having to rely on him to be our savior. I look at Miami's offense, and they are IMO crazy talented and explosive, and then I look at ours, and I don't feel good about it. I don't think Tua is half the QB Josh is, but he is good, and "good" with receivers like Waddle and Hill is scary. I guess we will see. I kind of love the pairing of Josh with Hailee Steinfeld. I think they are adorable, and she seems like a better fit than Brittany, but I do worry about him focusing on the team and all that while being in a relatively new relationship, and how it affects things. It's new, and his time will be taken up once the season starts, and if it causes any rifts it could impact his play. I don't know, it's his relationship and his business, but I do lowkey wonder if he will be distracted. I felt more confident last season and the season prior, but I guess we will see. I also wanted to add that I do think we improved in some areas for sure, but I feel like the teams in our division have as well, on top of them giving us a hard time last year(splitting games with The Dolphins and Jets, and winning close ones against them instead of blowing them out like we did in the past).

Look, I am VERY gullible. You can't say this stuff to me 😪
-
Okay, I feel a little better now 😁

I honestly thought, if something happened to Terry, Ron would be the guy he would possibly hand the team to. I definitely know not a damn thing.
-
Does anyone know or think if this affects the new Stadium? I am always so paranoid about the new stadium deal and cannot stomach Michael Florio gloating that The Bills might move.
-
I know this isn't addressed to me, but I felt like the Bills offense moved along quite nicely in the first Bengals game. The Bills have played in games where they looked like they were about to get blown out, or just plain getting blown out, only to come back and make it a game(Tampa Bay in 2021, Ravens game last year). Our defense looked pretty bad in the Monday Night game, but it looked to me like it was setting up to be a shootout. I think it was going to be a good game, quite possibly similar to the divisional one we had against The Chiefs. We will never know for sure, but I felt way better about The Bills chances in the Monday night game vs the divisional.

I think this may be the case. She did a tiktok back in March with her and the dog, and it kind of gave ominous signs that they split, but it looked like it might have been inside the beach house in Cali.

Did anyone else watch this? I don't think everything they say in this is accurate, but I do think they make some good points here and there. Everyone wants Diggs to speak and say "everything is fine" to be convinced things are actually fine, but I don't see him doing that. I wish he would, just to shut the media up, but he won't. They bring up how disrespectful they felt Diggs was toward Allen in that game, and Shady mentioned he is human and sometime as humans, we react/mess up. I agree with that, but what I don't think a lot of them know is that Diggs was "liking" some shady stuff about Josh in the offseason. He "unliked" one of ones that gained some traction, but that just proves the point that he has been disrespectful more than once, not only to Josh, but the team as a whole. I have always loved the guy, I don't think we could afford to lose him, and I do think the more they are together in training camp, the more things will smooth over, but I hate that this has been dragged out this long. I just don't get it. If Josh says everything is fine, do we not have reason to believe him? I have been on the side of believing him, but the media keeps insisting things aren't fine and putting their two cents in as to why, and it's giving me a headache.

Thad Brown the first to be offended by Josh
ALG1130 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Never dawned on me for a second that Josh was referring to any Buffalo/WNY media, especially with Eisen, Michael Florio, RG3 etc keeping this topic going. -
Chiefskingdom baby!! Oops, I mean, GO Bills indeed! I am not worried about losing Diggs at all, but will keep holding out hope for DHop. I really don't feel good about Davis as WR2 again. I also hate saying this, but god forbid Diggs gets h**t,then what? We are relying on Davis and possibly Shakir? I know injuries can happen to anyone at any time, but I don't feel as good about the offense going into 2023, as I have in prior years. I really hope I am wrong about this.

My god, are you kidding? I am legit serious when I ask this, are you really a Bills fan? I really believe there are so many fans of other teams posting here in the guise of Bills fans. Did you see Josh's first six games? He was absolutely in the MVP conversation. The elbow injury hindered things for him. You really don't see that? BTW, he came in 4th in the MVP race, so he was in it the whole time. Again, the elbow injury hurt him a lot. Too funny you say I am looking at the team through rose colored glasses, when I am here literally saying I am not sure we have enough depth to get past KC and Cincy. No wait, here is what you REALLY mean. "WhAT IF We dRaFtED MaHOmeS!!!?" I don't think Josh can do no wrong, but I do side eye people who criticize him to the lengths some do here. I don't see this stuff when I lurk on a Bengals or Chiefs board. It's like some weird form of self loathing. Obviously Josh can clean some things up, but he is often considered QB2 in the league(at the very least toe to toe with Burrow in the rankings), can go match for match with Mahomes. Despite his turnovers, how often does he cost The Bills games? Very rarely. The Bengals game wasn't his greatest, but I would hardly pin that mess on him. Sure, we can play the "but he nearly cost us" game and go on about how we "almost" lost, but you can say that about any QB. I could point out some games where Burrow, Mahomes, Herbert etc "almost lost". It's just silly.

Okay, remove Josh and Diggs from this offense. Where do you rank them? Gabe Davis is WR2 and he was a disappointment last year. So was Lil Dirty. I love Dawson Knox, but I think he is a decent tight end, but not on the same level as Kelce or Kittle or Gronk was. As for our defense, I think they are overrated. We have some stars, but as a collective they have let us down at the worst possible times. There was no excuse for them to be as MIA against Cincy as they were, Von or not, with the Bengals depleted offensive line. I am not ever counting on our defense to get us over that hump. I will give the whole team some grace though for last year, because it was rough and probably mentally draining, but again, if you removed Josh and Stef from this team I don't think they would be considered a top team.
