  1. I agree with you. The other thing about getting JP more time is that you don't want to leave him out there with the Bills second tear support cast either. I say either play the starters or don't, but don't let JP hang behind and inferior line against players trying to make their mark in the league.
  2. I spoke to someone at DTV that appeared to be knowledgeable a while back. He said that DTV can't hold any more HD channels until they make some changes. Right now on Sundays during the season the plan is to offer no HD payperviews during game time to allow for one more game channel. They are simply maxed out. So, I don't know that CBS can offer anymore, on the ticket at least, until this is a resolved. Last year the Bills had like only four HD games. I think that has to be about the league bottom. When they went on the streak last year does anyone recall if the HD games count did go up? I don't remember them doing that.
  3. They didn't play that one at the warped tour....very disapointed.
  4. Shanahan said to Phil Simms that he has taken Clarrett aside at least 10 times and told him to shape up and that Clarrett has no concept of true hard work and preparation in camp. Shanahan also said he (Clarrett) does not get along with the other players. A lot of people in the media blasted shanahan for picking the guy in the third, (he probably could have had him in the 6th). What I think is funny about this is that now the same media outlets are hoping that Clarrett gets cut to proove they were right in the first place and the broncos were wrong. I've heard a couple of sources say that Shanahan by cutting clarrett will have a great opportunity to proove that he is a great coach without an ego problem if he cuts Clarrett and is able to admit he was wrong to pick him. What a bunch of nonsense. How does cutting a dud make you a great coach, its really just common sense for shanahan.
  5. When I see evans making catches I think of Lofton. I'm sure he can be a #1 in the league. I also think he and JP are building a good relationship. They know they have talent and are the future of the franchise. I bet JP looks for evans a lot this season. I expect Moulds and Evans to have a pretty similar number of catches with Evans getting more throws his way and more yards than Moulds. I'm not in any way saying I think evans is better, I just think JP will look for him a lot.
  6. That article is a joke. The only teams that with any consistency could beat the bills in the early 90's were they played the bills on the road in a prime time monday night matchup. Looking back that means two teams, the Steelers and Chiefs. Teams like the jets played them close, but usually lost. So I would add the science whizzes research that you needed to have all the odds stacked against the bills to hope to beat them. You needed them on the road on a monday in front of a rabid fan base playing against a team that had a great defense and usually more to proove than the bills. FYI Miami had none of that going for them, except they had a lot more to proove since they lost 17 out of 21. I should also note that the Steelers and Cheifs got their tails handed to them every time during early 90's when the games were in december and mattered the most.
  7. Agree 100%, or in football talk... 110%. I hate people that over charge for shipping, but thats the way it is sometimes.
  8. To me it seems odd that he refunded your money before game time. If he in fact has mailed them out it seems he would wait to make sure they didn't arrive before providing a refund. I would wait and see if the tickets ever show up in the mail... even if they arrive after the game. If they show up, he is out the money and the tickets and was really being pretty honest with you. I wouldn't post positive comments, but there are things a heck of a lot more deserving of negative comments on ebay. I'd let it end with no feedback.
  9. Make sure you cancel after the trial month or they will auto charge you for the next... happened to me last season.

  11. SI ran the article about the head of the refs, telling them that there was no pass interference and they had to do better. I know someone mentioned Flutie above, but I also remember Andre Reed after the game saying he heard the refs discussion on the out of bounds pass and the refs were confering and confused and one of them said just give it to them. I must be getting old because I thought Coates caught the touchdown. That game wasn't as big as a post season afair, but it left me about as upset as losing one. Pretty depressing thread, maybe next someone will ask what wide-right means too..
  12. I never really think back to the Titans game, because I know that even if we beat the titans, the fact is RJ sucked and there is no way he would have won three straight games to get to the superbowl. Did RJ ever win three consecutive Bills games period? You can argue that RJ should have never got the start, but don't think for a minute that if we won that game he would have taken us to the promised land that year.
  13. Things are shaping up to be a very exciting year as a Bills fan, and an equally exciting year as a dolphins hater. Phins could be worse than last year. Anybody wanna guess the over under for how many times Ricky makes himself look like a tool?
  14. Reed looks to have hands of stone and play scared. I don't play in the NFL, so I won't pretend to know what it takes to play receiver, but he appears to be lacking in some pretty vital areas...
  15. Usually, the larger bands play a band or two before it ends. The last spot is not the headliner. If it looks like it might rain, they will put the big bands up early. I saw NOFX playt at 1:30 one year. In the past the event has ended by dark, so don't go too late. Also, It usually ends by 9 -9:30. Is No use for a name playing your venu.
  16. I agree, if Travi isn't in camp or on the field he won't be distracting the Bills. He will however, be distracting to me because every game I watch on the tube the announcers will want to talk about a back up running back who they believe is distracting the team. When was the last time a backup who gets injured quite a bit garnered so much press time.
  17. I watched the show and he meant nothing by it. I remeber when the Redskins beat the Steelers back in 91 and the reporters wanted him to talk about how great the redskins were. He replied that the redskins aren't a great team, but the Bills sure were. The bills beat the steelers 52-17 that year.
  18. Consistently lead a winning team. Have those games where he leads the team by putting them on his back and refuses to loose. And win a SB. I don't care what the guy does, if he doesn't win it all he can never be better than Kelly to me. Honestly, even if he does win a ring, I might not say he is better, just another great...
  19. My 4 1/2 year old went. He is an enormous fan of those films and after numerous discussions with the wife we agreed that there was no way to keep him away. Our decision was that I would completly spoil the movie for myself and take note of all the scenes that were deemed inapropriate. There is a website theforce.net that has a parents info section on the movie. It will tell you everything you need to know. The description starts out in generalities, for those that want to avoid complete spoilers, but if you read the bottom half it details any questionable scene. There were three scenes that I covered my son's eyes during... anakin burning and being cut, the children slaughter (but tht is all off screen), and mace windu's demise.
  20. I agree with what some others have stated. If he has a great year and holds out, it is not a bad thing to give him more money if it locks him up for a few more seasons. If his contract ends, we will not be able to keep him.
  21. I'm skipping June, and can't wait for the fantastic four on July 8th.
  22. I can fly. Man, am I excited about that FF movie!
  23. For a guy who did nothing in Seatle, everytime I saw a game they were playing Rice got mentioned constantly by the commentators. Rice brings nothing but hype to the field anymore.
  24. Listed like a man who knows his Star Wars. Your ranking is dead on. I might switch Jedi for clones, but it is close. The second half of clones is where Lucas got enough back ground out of the way to get to the action. I actually think clones should have been episode one and the sith film should have been separated into two films ( he deleted a lot of relevant scenes that make the DVD a must).
