N VA 1970-1978, Seattle 1978-1980, Chicago 1980-1982, Houston 1982-1986 ( the worst of the them all ) back to Seattle 1986-2003, Williamsburg VA. 2003-2004 Chester VA. 2004-??? When we left Seattle, we couild have come back to BUF, but decided against it due to TAXES! Having lived in 2 states where there is no state income tax, Texas & Washington, they make it up in many other ways including car taxes, 9% sales tax, high property taxes, etc. so they are not inexpensive! Everyplace has their unique governmental problems but NYS and Erie County stand out at the top! I'm not bashing them, because that's my home, but having said that, I don't see any meaningful change in the future and apparently a lot of other people the same way.
