  1. That's funny! I was looing at one of the Las Vegas Sports Book sites, before the game, and saw that there was a bet that the first score would be a Safety. The odds when i looked were 60:1. I thought who the hell would ever bet on that? Guess now I know!
  2. As if they don't have enough "fun" already, with people's situations!
  3. The Giants had all the breaks for the 2nd half of the Season. They peaked at the right time, had a reasonable schedule, and NO major injuries. Killdrive & Perry were simply at the right place, at the right time. They were sure not doing very well for the first 8 weeks! Remember, the Giants only won a "couple" more games than the BILLS during the regular season. I would have liked to have seen Perry stay with the BILLS but his ego got too bruised when he didn't get the HC job. As for that other Moron, I have a Golden retriever that could coach Eli without too much trouble.
  4. You guys are blessed! I got diagnosed Celiac 10 years ago and can't eat anything with; wheat, oats, barley or rye. There's no cure, no drugs, only can be controlled by diet. If you don't pay attention to it breaks down your immune system and you'll end up with; diabetes and/or a whole range of cancers. No Pizza, pasta, beer, bread etc. Told my wife IF I ever get diagnosed with anything terminal to drop me at John & Mary's for lunch and Bocci for the "last supper!"
  5. I know from experience how irritating that can be. When we lived in Seattle, my former next door neighbor was Japanese. He used to crank that thing up and then sing in Japanese. You have not lived till you hear Karoke in Japanese. The house sounded like a Japanese Merry-go-round!
  6. He's an elitist PIG! Too bad he wasn't playing when the BILLS had Training Camp at the CAMELOT MOTOR INN! It would have been too good for him.
  7. No doubt this is a great addition! Now if we can just get the ball to the TE's we'll be in business.
  8. That car would not last 3 Buffalo winters...I'm talking normal winters, not what we have this year!
  9. He's got a bunch of kids so somebody must not hate him!
  10. Yeah but, for that money, I'll bet they plow your driveway, thank you for living in Lancaster, AND call you MRGordio. When I lived in Seattle, King aka(CHA-CHING) County sent the property tax bills out on Feb. 14th every year. That was a nice touch too!
  11. Must have been during the day, 950 and all the other AM stations in Richmond, except 1, disappear at night.
  12. I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.
  13. The Dead Collector: Bring out yer dead. [a man puts a body on the cart] Large Man with Dead Body: Here's one. The Dead Collector: That'll be ninepence. The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't: I'm not dead. The Dead Collector: What? Large Man with Dead Body: Nothing. There's your ninepence. The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't: I'm not dead. The Dead Collector: 'Ere, he says he's not dead. Large Man with Dead Body: Yes he is. The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't: I'm not. The Dead Collector: He isn't. Large Man with Dead Body: Well, he will be soon, he's very ill. The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't: I'm getting better. Large Man with Dead Body: No you're not, you'll be stone dead in a moment. The Dead Collector: Well, I can't take him like that. It's against regulations. The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't: I don't want to go on the cart. Large Man with Dead Body: Oh, don't be such a baby. The Dead Collector: I can't take him. The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't: I feel fine. Large Man with Dead Body: Oh, do me a favor. The Dead Collector: I can't. Large Man with Dead Body: Well, can you hang around for a couple of minutes? He won't be long. The Dead Collector: I promised I'd be at the Robinsons'. They've lost nine today. Large Man with Dead Body: Well, when's your next round? The Dead Collector: Thursday. The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't: I think I'll go for a walk. Large Man with Dead Body: You're not fooling anyone, you know. Isn't there anything you could do? The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't: I feel happy. I feel happy. [the Dead Collector glances up and down the street furtively, then silences the Body with his a whack of his club] Large Man with Dead Body: Ah, thank you very much. The Dead Collector: Not at all. See you on Thursday. Large Man with Dead Body: Right.
  14. Considering the Richmond demographics, I would bet on somewhere on the W side. I understand that Wegmans had an "agreement" with Ukrops not to come into the Richmond area as long as Ukrops was in business. That's no longer an issue, so we'll see what happens. Fredericksburg is OK for what it is, but I'd obviously love to see a Wegmans anywhere in the Richmond area.
  15. It worked well in New Orleans!
  16. Moved to N VA in '70-stayed till 78. More moderate climate than BUF, sales tax 1/2 of NY, property tax 2/3 less than NY, depending where you go. On to Seattle 78-80. 10 months of drizzle/fog, occasional snow-huge problem because the whole area is hills & mountains and the drivers are in constant panic mode! Sales tax the same as NY, No State income tax but they make it up with property & car registration taxes. August & September are beautiful! Back to Chicago 80-82. A lot of similarities to BUF..weather, taxes etc., absent a great job, no real advantage with Chicago. To Houston 82-86. In my opinion, the butthole of the universe! Gas was cheap then, no State Income tax but high property & sales tax. Lived thru a CAT 5 hurricane in 82 along with the normal steady high humidity most other times. Fire ants, fu*k bugs, no a great spot! Escaped back to Seattle 86-03. Put up with the weather. When it's clear, it's beautiful! Occasional Earthquakes! 6.2 is my personal best! Company went CH11 in '02 and I retired in 03, moved to Williamsburg VA. Stayed for 15 months, I lost most of my pension to PBGC, found a job in Richmond VA. Moved to the Richmond area because; it was a 50 mile drive each way, dodging deer, and Gas was $1.60 then and I "couldn't afford that!" I'm not crazy about Richmond, but that's just me. It's working out till I can maybe really retire again. Don't think I'll be able to sell this house very easily, so I could be here for a while. Sales tax 1/2 of NY, Property tax is OK. When I look on Realtor.com, a comparable house to what we have in VA., in Rochester or Buffalo, would have an annual property tax of $10,000-$12,000 while we pay a little over $3,000 in Chesterfield county. I feel your pain! The reasons that you are thinking about leaving are many of the same ones that keep me from going back. It's a big decision and by all means, make sure your wife is totally on board with a move before you have even grerater probems. if you decide to leave, obviously have a firm job, and don't look back! The closest Wegmans to me is 75 miles N in Fredericksburg VA. Good Luck whatever you decide!
  17. Is it electric? Does it come with a telepropmter? Is the Birth Certificate in the Glove box? Any salt damage from either Chicago OR Honolulu?
  18. They also have; Webers, Russer Bologna, Hoffmans, Bison Dip, Wegmans Basting Sauce and, in season of course, Butter Lambs & Turkeys. I live S of Richmond. I used to have to drive up to the N side of Dulles Airport to get to a Wegmans. Then they opened up N of Quantico, and now they're in Fredericksburg. Rumor has it that they're coming to Richmomd but nothing on the website yet. I'm very thankful for the Fredericksburg store. I usually go up about every 5-6 weeks. Since I usually wear a BILLS of Sabres jacket/shirt I often run into someone from the Buffalo/WNY area.
  19. Your dreams were your ticket out...RIP Juan!
  20. All the best to ZAK! I drive N to Fredericksburg VA every 5-6 weeks to visit Wegmans and stock up on Sahlan's etc.
  21. The NFL could either; Black out the game in NE, or rent the tarps from Jacksonville to cover up the unsold seats. For most fans it's just way too expensive to; travel to/from, stay, eat, and finally go to the actual game.
  22. Maybe they could do a study on the state of Buffalo Sports Teams? We've been leaning and subsiding for years and nobody has a fix for that either.
  23. Leaning to the Left??? RAAHTHER! If they looked at it from the opposite side would it Lean to the Right???
  24. Having been harassed at more than one BILLS away game, this is long overdue. For some reason, the worst I've seen has been on the W Coast, in my case, San Diego and Seattle.
  25. Reminded me more of Greggggg than Dick. Neither has a happy ending!
