  1. As I recall, Bedford Falls was based on Seneca Falls NY. No doubt we have a lot of BILLS Fans that live in the Commie location?
  2. I wonder if the League will fine Dez Bryant for leaving "early?"
  3. Since they added about 20 numbers to the pool, nobody will win, and the jackpots will grow to 2 or 3 times what they are now.
  4. Having been laid off one time on Christmas Eve, I guess, like many of us, I am grateful to have a job. But there is a fine line between being grateful and being taken advantage of! If you feel taken advantage of, your job performance will suffer and possibly impact the almighty "bottom line."
  5. That's the kind of "logic" that gets me thru season after season.
  6. What a tool! Of course anytime someone loses their life it's a "bad day," but to single out Buffalo as if nothing "bad" happens anywhere else is absolutely moronic.
  7. What, no Flamingo's?
  8. Have to give that Company a lot of credit. Whatever the cost, the publicity and customer goodwill, will make it worth while for them. It's likely more cost effective than advertising on TV, and it's gets the employees together to do something worthwhile as a team. I don't know about Canada but I do know that in the USA, "airlines" would be content to put their came on the wall, and on the plane, and have everybody else work as a short term contract type person, usually part-time, with low pay and no benefits. Whenever you hear a "bad" airline story it's usually because the people are; untrained, understaffed, overworked, have zero interest in your traveling experience, and generally don't sh*t about the passengers. Add TSA to the equation and you have an additional level of fun!
  9. My Dad & Uncles were all WWII Vets. They were a special group. Given similar circumstance, I doubt if the USA could repeat what they accomplished today. RIP Vets!
  10. I hate the potential for bad weather. Thanksgiving should to move to October as in Canada. The observance and celebration are good but it's not the 30's anymore, and all indications are that people don't need an incentive or reminder to shop "early."
  11. We're in the Richmond area and it depends where the freeze line falls whether we get; rain/sleet/freezing rain. This will freak the locals out, turn the roads into amateur night, so it's best to stay home if possible. I'd love to watch the game but in the interest of winning, I won't. If I don't watch they usually win.
  12. No doubt his next job will be far from the ocean.
  13. Sad to say but Money Talks! The BILLS would justify a game or whatever in HELL as long as the big checks keep coming. Since we already play in NE & NY, maybe HELL could also be sold as a "home game" too.
  14. I've stopped watching. I work on Sundays but i swear, whenever I have time to watch, if they're winning, they do something to screw it up. So in the interest of a few more wins, I won't watch again because I'm convinced that my watching is causing too many L's.
  15. Hard to find now but THE BISHOP'S WIFE with David Niven, Loretta Young & Cary Grant is a Classic for me
  16. Uh, we have our own already/
  17. Do they serve Spotted Dick for desert? (It's pudding )
  18. As I recall it came out before Christmas '64 or '65. The BILLS were winning then, and I was a little too old to watch Rudolph, but if that's the one where Burl Ives did the music, it was pretty good.
  19. They get paid in "Loonies" which explains a whole lot about our last 20 years, or so.
  20. They didn't say IF he actually departed from Windsor, of IF there was any Flight Plan. We don't have an Air Defense Zone between the US & Canada so there's no positive radar identification required. If there's no flight plan and/or no flight following requested, he's just another radar blip. I would think the Nashville Tower would have been aware that he was at least in their airspace for 2 hours, and attempted to contact or identify him. He could crash anywhere in the dark and if; he had no lights, there were no witness reports, and there was no post-crash fire, it would be impossible to locate wreckage till after sunrise. Outside the "sensational" nature of the story, there's really not enough info to determine exactly what happened.
  21. The AFL cancelled their games as a sign of respect.
  22. Going to window shop at Victoria's Secret?
