  1. My wife grew up just around the corner from there. Used to be "the" spot for kids to meet.. Similar to where i grew up in S Buffalo, 50 years have not been kind to the "old neighborhood."
  2. Exactly! I dropped the NBA when the Braves left, the NFL could be next.
  3. Let's this season does not just CUT THE CHEESE!
  4. NO! The demographics don't show where people live that actually have an interest in the NFL. It also misses the fact that pro sports are so expensive now they're, given a choice, families may want to spend their dollars some other way. As example; S California (LA). A lot of people there BUT bull fighting would sell out before any NFL game would. Europe didn't work, Canada has the CFL. Teams complain about flying across the USA too much, so it's not realistic to expand beyond that.
  5. You could always trade in for a Tesla. Certainly no battery worries there!
  6. Pizza was probably the better option over whatever may have been available "for sale." DIA was bullt in an area long known for convective storms. They called it the ALL WEATHER AIRPORT, not because it could operate in all weather but because ALL WEATHER could occur there on any given day, year round. Depending on the wind, up-slope, or down-slope they can get snow and 70 temps in a 24 hour period. When it does snow, it usually goes away very fast because of atmospheric frictional heating from the W wind. Weather wise, It's not the best place for an airline hub,
  7. The Stadium would do absolutely nothing to reverse LA's situation. They would be better served with high rise real estate development generating substantially more taxes than than a Stadium ever could.
  8. One of the recent murders was interrupted by a citizen who had a concealed/carry permit, and used it! That didn't get much coverage!
  9. Maybe I'll drive to Rochester to watch the game at the Holiday Inn, right off the Thruway. That's what I had to do 50 years ago, and it was great!
  10. 2 weeks? 1 week? Did that include appropriate breaks?
  11. They didn't mention the automatic HAZ MAT event that is triggered each time an electric car crashes.
  12. All my favorites live on the E Side.
  13. All weather Tailgating under the Skyway? If it's good enough for the wino's, why not?
  14. Ah, Meth, the gift that keeps on giving. This is verified by the picture!
  15. Yes, they do like their taxes. Same with Gasoline. Anyone driving across NC should try to fuel thru to VA or SC.
  16. That's why they call it THE BADLANDS!
  17. We live in the Richmond area, but do go to Raleigh for Sabres games. Don't get drawn into any of the "Y'all a yankee?" crap. If someone asks me if I'm a Yankee I tell them, No, I'm a BILLS Fan. That usually shuts them up because they essentially don't know what to say! There are a LOT of WNY'ers in the Raleigh area. Cary NC is a good place to start. Apex is OK too, maybe a little less expensive than Cary. There's a great Sports Bar across from the Stadium called the Backyard Bistro. It's owned by a guy from the Syracuse area. Good food there, and you can park to go to the Sabres Games, just across the street.. Good luck on the move. I've moved all over the USA, and it can be stressful. Get a few realtor recommendations and you'll be fine!
  18. Is that for Utah or our participants?
  19. Generally Customs is looking for/at criminal info when you cross the border. I doubt if any "minor" traffic violations ever make it to their data base. You could always create a diversion by answering YES to the "do you own a gun?" question.
  20. She's the "come from behind" favorite!
  21. I saw Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Jr. in '88 in Seattle. Frank was good, Dean was faced, but OK, but Sammy stole the show. He was quite an entertainer! A short time later, Dean dropped out and was replaced by Liza Minnelli.
  22. So many fat ass*s looking for an easy out.
  23. Do they "tail" gate?
