    Landed at Washington National DCA a couple of times, at night, on the 4th of July. Great fireworks! Flew the river approach, landing to the S.

    MDW was supposed to close when O'Hare was opened. I got my Instrument Rating at MDW in 1971. The property is a couple of square blocks on the S side of Chicago surrounded by old 2.5 story wood frame houses. The runways are diagonals from each corner of that square. In the summer you have weight issues because of the short runways and the summer heat, and in the winter it's often winds and runway conditions that limit operations. Not the best place to go, even for a lower fare!

    Our electricity is very reliable. I did look into a permanent setup, at one time, but a realtor told me that it would be an unrecoverable investment, so never went any further. The portables are OK but I don't line storing gasoline in my garage, for extended periods, so nothing there either. If we had service reliability issues, I would reconsider.

    These are probably the same people who would complain about vehicle exhaust, smog, etc.. Jet-A & Diesel are very close cousins. They could save a bunch of money by staying home, and maybe making a trip to the bus station, or truck terminal, and taking a deep breath.

    That's good but how can we find out when the BILLS training camp will be on. They say ALL 32 teams but so far I have not found the Bills.
