Levy signing a joke...
ROSCOE P. COE TRAIN replied to ROSCOE P. COE TRAIN's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why write so much? address the substance of the post. oh, i forgot, small trivial, thoughtless, non-humorous one-liners are your expertise. i assume some laugh at the things you write on occasion. humor is hard to predict or score, right? but really, the post speaks for itself. don't mean to piss on your parade, but we got no talent and 80 yr old marve is really not going to change that. now think about what i said. comment on it. -
it will take 3 yrs of drafting to bring in character. milloy, vincent, fletcher, and campbell were supposed to have character.

I love Levy, don't get me wrong. He was a GREAT coach and nice guy. Wilson is a brillant majician. The TD failure was softened by Ralph's hiring of fan favorite Levy. We refresh death with life. We soften anger with historic fondness. Levy was never known as a personel guy. Polian, Dwight Adams, Butler and AJ Smith were the talent guys. Levy plugged motivated. How can he motivate at 80, from a press box? This signing has NO significance. It is like England "rolling out" the Queen Mom once a year to the fawning toothless british fans who cry with historic remembrance of what was and would could be - ala a Great Britian! But really, the best teams are young, and TD was right when he said that today's NFL is for the young man. Look at the best teams, they all have young GMS and front offices. Almost all of the playoff teams do. Modrak is assume will take over the pro selections along and Guy will run the college full time. Bottom line, MM needs talent. We are thin at OG, OT, C, TE, FB, QB, DT, LB and FS. Simple as that. Our drafts have not panned out. Guys like Wire, Mike Williams, Denney, Edwards, have been flops. Free Agents like Vincent, Ben Anderson, Campbell and have stunk. Losman needs to wmore yrs of development, with the suspect line we have. So look for 2 more yrs of rebuilding.

Tom Donahoe is an excellent GM

according to who? show me some fact to back up this statement you purport. marvin lewis DID NOT WANT TO COME TO BUFFALO - sounds like bullsh--. show some proof as to this. -

the great error by donahoe was NOT hiring fox or lewis as coach. they were the hot favorites, but TD went with williams for some reason. fox and lewis have shown to have been solid coaches who get the most out of their assistant coaches and players. donahoe's other mistakes were to: draft mike williams at #4 (he is no better than any RT in the league); let losman start this season (holcomb can do that with the momemtum of 2004); signed crap place kickers for three seasons which costs us games late; & has not upgraded the TE spot until this season. -

poor decision. they are dirtbag attractors. bring in pawn shops and scrub ruff types. casinos claim it "will bring hotels, food, parking." but that is bullsh-- because studies show the casinos do all that in house for their own proifits (ie have their own food, shops, parking, etc). so no money eneters the stream of consumer. it could generate jobs, but how many people work at a casino? 200-400? the buffalo zoo has that many employees...

Dudes... I say let him walk: Clements
ROSCOE P. COE TRAIN replied to DeeRay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
let him walk. we can draft a corner 1st overall to play 16 games at a top level. nate will kill our cap. only bailey demands such a consideration. all OTEHR cbs are a dime a dozen IMO. i like kevin thomas to replace him - as long as we can get production from the edge rushers no one will run past our corners... it is crap de lines that allow their corners to look like poop... -
the offensive line is 2/5ths new, thus willis needs to get his timing down. also JP is new, making willis needed to help with blitz pickups - and hot reads as they will see them come september 11th. if willis is healthy he is to play. if he gets injured again, then so be it. walking on egg shells is not mularky's style...

well, in some circles, yes, being able to do the 3 things we have talked about would be all that matters in life. but maybe bieng good at neuroscience/biochemistry/psychiatry is all that matters in life? maybe graduating from high school is all that matter life? is that all that matter in the circles you hang out in? do you see a contradiction here? is hypocrite a word you are familiar with? is your post bordering on being sanctimonious? is it tartuffan? is it pharisee? read Roget's II before replying. i smell what the rock is cooking! -

well, this is kind of my point. the guy may be a jackas$ in comparison with the general public and their views as to what is deemed as "normal" for us, but still, he bangs hot chicks, is retarditly rich and is good looking for his age. i am playing devels advocate here in this thread, but really, there are a ton of "morons" in this world, but he has it made. and he could care less about us! -
i think you are over analyzing the guy. his speed is the issue, he can't get separation, simple as that. He is physical and catches a ton of balls with a guy on his back. How many balls has he caught in space with separation? only on rare DE lapses does he do that if ever. so speed has always been his knock.

he is nuts in your mind and via your perception. but if he is clear in his mind -which he appears to be - and is still rich, good looking for his age and bangs hot chicks what does he care what you think? -

ok, so he knows nothing about neuroscience/biochemistry/psychiatry, and he is a scientologist. and he flunked high school. but he still bangs hot chicks, is super rich and looks great for his age. -

Defense is built to win now,
ROSCOE P. COE TRAIN replied to BuffBills#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah, but 2 things. 1) def. wins in the nfl 2) young off. can win - -
lets not get to melodramatic here. horry is great, but come on. vinateri is most likely the most "clutch" player in pro sport or michael jordan or maybe pele or joe montana or wayne gretzky or roger clemens or ken dryden.

Anyone hear Peter King on WGR?
ROSCOE P. COE TRAIN replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah, agree, the idea that Dr. Zimmerman knows much - is laughable. guy is a book worm - stat hound who guesses on high percentage picks. "gee, gandy will hold the fort down on the left side." is this really profound news? but hey, if his predictions are that willis will win the rushing title and gandy will do well, i think he got it 50% correct. willis is a great back, but jamal lewis, mccallister, holmes, portis and ESPECIALLY Tomlinson will have something to say about this all. those guy have been there before - how can you rule them out? also, having JP will force Defenses into the box with 8 guys now. plus, the word is out that willis is healthy, so teams will be out to stop him. we also have a hard schedule v. rushing defs. there are so many variables to winning a rusing title. gandy is a hulking character with good skills. but when a team like chicago unlaods him, one has to wonder. they are in need of all warm bodies. mouse mcnally is a good coach, but he can't make gandy an all star can he? especially with a QB who will not have worked with this front line yet and will not know what to do when various blitz packages come from all over the field - especially versus miami's saban DE and belcheks, and etc. in addition, we have no healthy TE to help chip on the lines. we got 3 TES down. lastly, JP will have to be able to read defenses to take pressure of various fronts and he will have to know how to audible out of possbile jams. can he do that? we don't know how many times bledsoe changed plays - which may have created holes for willis - that #11 saw. the little things add up. -
