  1. --------------------------- I've see your posts for years. Never are they about football. Simple barbs and childish yarns. At one point, about a year ago, you extended yourself and actually tried to put together a post re: the team and the players. If I recall, it was hilarious, as it sounded like you jsut got a magazine on the NFL and became a fan that day with the little knowledge your asserted and put forth. Remember that? Your a hack. For years now you have been chasing after anyone who marches to a differnt drummer on this site and pokes holes in OUR TEAM. This ain't your board. Chill out. Be a nice guy. kumbaya. I love you. Don't write back all angry and pounding your chicken chest. Just calm down and lets talk football. Remember, I simply posted in this thread about the the NFL. Then you jump all over me like the rest of your cyber buddies. "Gee, lets IM about Roscoe, he is mean..." "gee he is talking mean, lets get him..." Grow up. I never said a damn thing wrong here. Just posting my thoughts on what talent is and asking for a sober response. Step up, talk football. Alot of people have looked at the talent and are angry about it. Are you?
  2. Lets use your ulcerous little dribble as a sag way to reviewing what this team needs talent wise (lets play scout, if you will): THe entire OFFENSIVE line is void of any leadership of guidance or building block. Mike WIlliams was supposed to be the guy we ruished over on 3rd adn 4th adn short. NOw we are back to guessing and Jerry Crafts/ Hicks type blocking. Royal is an upgrade to block -- but todays NFL needs a stick moving pass cather. Everett was another underclassman -- who will take another season and his knee injury set him back even furhter. RB -- I''m not sold on WIllis. He has 3 yrs to show something. Has he shred the 2nd layer ever? He punishes piles each paly. Is is the line? GREAT BACKS STAND out. Look at LTomlinson a few season back. His club sucks yet he stood out. Great players stand out. simple as that... DL has a 3rd round OSU wrestler anchoring it. Triplett is a warm body. Shoebel has shown signs of being good. Denney and Kelsey have little direction and dont stand out. Spikes is injured. I dont count him as he is not playing. Will he ever return to form? was he GREAT anyway? I would say he was energenic. But so was Mark Pike!?!?!? Fletcher has the 2nd most tackel of any IMLB in the league the past 5 seasons = Sam Mills PART II. Cowell shows signs. But so did GAbe NOrthern and Bryce Fisher. Crowell played a ta good UVA program and has speed, but it will be interesting to see him as a starter and not a sub. The game changes when the pressure is on. SO many bills players = see Keith Newman/ Carlton Bailey. Clements and MCGee look solid. And I like the nickle and dime packages and the Whitner. Vincent is a damn joke for the money we pay him. Ko simpson may be a steal. JP needs protection and a system that helps him. GUy has all the skilss. BUt his pock awarness may not be where it has to be. THe QBS that are great feel the pressure and have savvy footwork to buy a few that 1 or 2 second to unload a ball. Every high valued passer eludes (manning, culpepper, palmer). Even Jimbo Kelly moved a little and knew when to and not to. THE WRs look okay. Evans was a 5yr college kid who has great hands. Can he beat th e double team this season moulds say for years? Price rusn straight lines and posts, that is it. Reed is a running back in a WR slot. PArrish could be a star. He has more potential than any of them, IMHO. ANdre davis is a cut along with aiken.
  3. ------------------------- have you ever posted anything on this board? you are a turtle. Mat barnaby. ken lindsman rat who strikes out a post with nothing of substance and turtles when faced with the truth. take off your buffalo blinders and zubas and relax. we are all pulling for the team, no kidding. but the talent is weak and an honest approach askwhy and maybe questions ralph wilsons as an owner. We are hostage b/k we simple want a team and want a buffalo like it was 100 yrs ago. but this club stinks and the talent is sorry as hell.
  4. What you stats dont show is how many time a LT failed to pull out of his stance and knock a guy off the ball at the point of attack. GAndy's name should never be associated with those who pancake guys all game long. The sacks, dont show the blocking, clearly.
  5. [quote=flea17,Aug 8 2006, 11:22 PM KH made his suspect name with the Brown by launching bombs to guys like Andre Davis and Northcutt 60 yards down field late in th e4th Q of games when they were down by 30 and the other teams had their 3rd stringers in there. The guy has never shown the moxie to carry a team. JP has the tools, the pedigree and the heart for the job. He will be under center come September and will win us 6 games with Lindell winning two of them an losing two of them with his foot late in teh 4th Q.
  6. --------------------- ------------------ Disagree! Patriots had: Ty Law Bledsoe Vinateri McGinnis milloy Seymore Andruzzi These are pro bowl types with GREAT TALENT AND pedigree. That Patroit team had talent....
  7. --------------------- Calm down you melodramatic twit. The post simple review the talent level using a reasonable standard. Take off your buffalo talking proud t-shirt and review this all with an objective eye.
  8. Big Ben -- has allowed for all conventional thinking to go out re: a rookie or green QB. A good team clearly helps a QB. I liken Losman to the kid from Baltimore Boller. Stong arm, plenty of moxie and swagger. But he plays for a suspect OL and was forced to be the teams savior ala JP. JP needs to have protection, and running game and defense that gets him field position which is favorable. Easier said then done. Big Ben was trotting on the field every time with the ball at the opposition's 35 and a Ol that mauled and a RB and hines ward who were incredible.
  9. ------------------- Hi Mr. Moderator. Sorry this thread is taking such a bad turn. Mixing the pot a little here... But break the sentence down -- you attack. Look at the structure and context. You will agree, there are indeed a lot of great OLB. As such, Spikes, who is solid, is a dime a dozen. Every team has a Spikes or better. But the guy is injured, so this is all conjecture for him...
  10. ----------------------- Pedigree counts. A team's overall talent has to include its overarching bleu chip depth and potential. A first pick over all in the draft -- Al Smith has to be considered Sn Frans #1 talent. I think that is reasonable. I assume you will attempt to refute that, in some emotional quest to be right about something today/ tonight. Same goes for Winslow. His speed and eye witness accounts rank him as a specimen. We hae to assume that he will excell. I yeild, and allow for Evans to make my list. But McGahee has show little in his career to merit a pro bowl. His comments that he was better than LT were hilarious....
  11. Spelling the player's names correct, indeed, a salient point. One worth bringing up. Congrats. Ah, for your post: Fletcher is solid, but not a pro bowler. He is a talent, but is he a top 10 middle backer in the league? Do you want him or Dan Morgan? Maybe you take Ray Lewis over him? Or do you want Brooks over him? Maybe you want MArcus Washington? I dunno, I'll take Fletcher!?!?! Spikes is a force. We will see if he comes back from his injury. He is injured. Simple as that. He would have made the list, but damn, there are a lot a great OLB like him. In fact, he is a dime a dozen when healthy. McGahee is a 15-20 best back. I take 15 guys before him that stay in in 3rd down, can shred the 2nd layer and block on max protection. McGee --- a great special teamer. Since when did he become a shut down/ lock down corner. Did i miss something here? Evans -- go look at the league top 20 WR. Stop reading Bucky Glesson and drinking Genny Cream Ale -- adn read the about the to p20 WRs in the league. Evans is a talent, lets add him to the list. But a pro bowl type? I dont think so...
  12. ---------------------- Pedigree counts. We can surmise that he will post big numbers. He may be a reach, but he gets this season to show his worth. We gave Willis 3 yrs to show his worth, and he is a 15-20 back.
  13. Denver is a GREAT TEAM with a terrific OL and WRs. In the early 1990s, STAN GILBERT AND others scrubs looked like Jim Plunket behind our team in training camp. I like the kid, but it helps when you are working with a machine like Denver. That club is the AFC champ this season...
  14. --------------------- The post speaks for itself. When you compare our talent versus other clubs, we are thin. THe next step is to be a realist and diagnose who is a star in the making, and who is a pretender or bench warmer for the Steelers. I see -- with out my rose colored glasses that you wear -- only two players on this roster who stand out as pro-bowl types. Spikes/ MCGee/ Willis M are average players IMO. I mean, how does McGee compare to Champ Bailiey? He doesn't . How does he compare to Dunta Robinson? He doesn't. Thus, he aint making the PRO BOWL. Same with the others. Clemens is legit. A guy who can turn a game around.
  15. Rest of the teams: Titans; Cleveland; Raiders; New Orleans; & Detroit Titans: Vince Young; LenDale White; Albert Haynesworth; Pacman Jones Lions: Mike Williams; Jones; Roy Williams Cleveland: Braylon Edwards; Willie McGinnis; Winslow New Orleans: Duce McCallister; Jammal Brown;
  16. Last week, I posted that the Bills are void of talent. Guys/ ladies like 'Darin From Alaska' and other board luminaries, were enraged at the idea that I would put forth such a suggestion. But when you look at the teams in the league and compare ours with them, we look like the worst around IMHO. A reasonable person would say the the worst teams in the NFL are: San Fran; Buffalo; Houston; Titans; Cleveland; Raiders; New Orleans; & Detroit When we diagnose the above teams, we can see that they have loads more of talent than us, with the exception of San Fran. Talent is defined as pedigree, potential, ability, play, performance and pro bowl potential. We start with: San Fran: QB Smith; I see no other talent on this team that stands out. Buffalo: Clemens; Moorman; Whittner Houston: Carr; Dom Davis; Moulds; Andre Johnson; Donta Robinson Titans:
  17. ------------ totally agree
  18. I don't see how any of the guys you mentioned are "shoe-ins" to be 3rd WRs for some teams out there. The guys you got are special teamers. Davis is an injury prone has been. Aiken is a special team guy. The others are no better than any 3rd WR in the league. The Bills have the worst talent in the league. NO team has worse talent. Thus, our worst are not going to be anyone's best.
  19. ------------------- Ha, I remember that saying. Kelso -- how the hell was he in the league? With that extra helmet too? Wow... And Leon Seals. Anyone remember the crushing hit he put on Hostettler in the SB? That was one of the best QB crushes I have ever seen. And 'Hoss' got up and shook it off...
  20. Wright, Jeff NT Seals, Leon DE Smith, Bruce DE Bennett, Cornelius OLB Talley, Darryl OLB Bentley, Ray ILB Conlan, Shane ILB Jackson, Kirby CB Odomes, Nate CB Kelso, Mark FS Smith, Leonard SS
