Troy Brown had 93 catches a few yrs back -- a pro bowler. Branch was the Super Bowl MVP. Givens was solid. David Patton was underated. Their TEs WERE AWESOME! TAlented players stand out. THey really do... -

Dude, are you Ralph Wilson's butler or driver or something? You got to be on the payroll, right? Jerry Rice's opinion is HIGHYL salient. He has been around -- and is the best player in the games history ever. His opinion stated -- fairly -- that the OL and QB = trouble for a young and average WR core. The WR core here has no large WR -- which are the protypical types now (6-3, 220); nor do they have any experience outside of an average P. Price who can't change directions if his life depended on it. Rices' comments from afar, are right on point. In light of Moulds being gone, the pressure will be even greater on Evans to beat double teams. ANd Passish has to show he can stay healthy. The jury has rendered its verdict on JOsh Reed == great college player, HORRIBLE pro game speed player. Aiken is a spare part. Davis was brought in to sooth KH . -
When people review the club, they don't see the core positions enhanced to a point where a turn around could take palce easily. All good teams -- have the core positions filled with talent and then skin that skeleton with depth and late rounders (Kyle Williamson). For instance, a good club has to have a QB, RB, WR, at least two (2) drafted OL players, a TE, a place kicker, 1 good corner, one pass rusher, one run stopper. FOr 9 years we have had a few of these things, but then not some of these things. THe early 1990 bills had all of this covered, the good teams do. It requires good drafting and a GM with savvy to fill these needs. TD was bruttal. He voided the team and now Levy is here to upgrade the talent and depth. But we are 3 years away, as the "talent" is young (underclassmen many of them), suspect (Willis's speed, JP, Everett, Denney, Kelsay, Parrish) and thin (we don't have a drafted OL on the starting line and are thin at LB).

Not splitting hairs here, but Nate was let go b/k he wanted a huge contract and MN had drafted Troy Williamson. No one would "bank" on KOROB.

Kyle Williams practices with first unit

Not really negativity, but a sober approach, as opposed to your emotional and baseless one that the Bills are the 2006-07 Super Bowl winners b/k they have KYLE WILLIAMS ON THE FIELD!!!!! Lindy Ruff preaches, "don't have no valleys and don't have no peaks." That way, you can pragmaticaly go about you life and not look the idiot you portray on the site who "wears his heart on his sleeve." To put what I wrote in a layperson's language (i.e., so you will be able to digest it), Williams played a nice game, but leave it at that. THe idea that the guy is the next Warren Sapp is as$inine. If he comes out next week and does the same -- then I owe you a beer. But at this point, and after watching one preseason game, we have to keep it real. I hope the guy shines, but have seen dozens of camp darlings over the years. It is sad that we ahve to sit around here and talk about one maybe high motor 5th rounder who did well. We ought to be talking about how good the offense looked moving the ball, or our RB, or the way Evans looked, or JP's arm, or pass rush, or the corners coverage or the play calling. BUt like the last 9 yeears, we are focused on a maybe player b/k the club was vanilla again adn showed no signs of being competetive whatsoever. It could all change, but most NFL chat boards are reviewing bigger things than one late draftee's preseason game. Like WHAT ABOUT OUR 2 FIRST ROUNDERS!?!?!??!! -
Wow, poor guy. I would love to see his arrest sheet for the past 6 years. There must be a half-dozen listings there...

Yeah, Whitner gives the club a sound servicable body out there for years to come and then we roll the dice on JP again. Otherwise we would have a scub at SS and a lot of pressure on a #8 picked QB and a wasted JP acting like a cancer in the background. I like Cutler, but again, it is nice to play on a great team (Denver) and have Plummer taking the pressure. Guy throws a great ball, but untill he is named #1 starter, he can paly with no pressure. -
no doubt. still funny to poke fun at the guy. you know, you think of the 'hogs' and smelly greasy lineman -- not book worms. but its all good.
-
Agreed. I like the fact guy did it too. A preseason game, nothing to lose. He blasts a guy and the others may feed off it as they watch the tapes this week. Roy Williams and Shawn Taylor - - the leagues BEST 2 hitting safetys - - do this type of stuff all the time.

Kyle Williams practices with first unit

He coached Kelsay and Anderson as kids rights? I hold him responsible for their progress. As I hold Sam Wyche, the most overated football "mind" ever, for Losmans non-progress. -
Your kidding right? Moulds for a guy who had one nice game -- preseason? Come on man... Moulds was an all-pro on a crap team for years. He played with crap talent around him, crap QBs, and tons of different coaches. The camp darling Williams has to do more than shed two double teams in a meaningless game for me to buy his jersey. Fred Smerlas PART II?

I suppose they will rotate the guys. But on key 3rd and shorts and goal line, it is a crap shoot... -

How are Kelly and Leinart similar? Mentality wise? Kelly was recruited by Howard Schnelenbarger as a LB -- I think. -

He was bruttal with us. What a bust FA. Rbs were carrying the guy 5 yards -- he was like a rodeo midget out there. And having Vincent next to him was commical. I could rush for 100 yrd versus those two bums. In NE -- lawyer had that great front play behind. He was exposed in Buffalo and I don't see how he fits into Mora's D in Atlanta... -

Good report. Fair, honest. It will be interesting to contrast this report with next games. The change in certain players will be great, as it always is. Some will appear and others will disapear. The camp darling Williams looked like a freak. But can he take the pressure of the 1st unit. -

The guy is a warm body I guess. But good lord, they need better play out of Kelsay and the support of the OLB behind him on that side. They were drive blocked off the ball about 5 feet per snap. Krumrie should be ashamed... -
