  1. TH also couldn't run a route, block, or pick up the blitz. And, frankly, he's very dumb. Extraordinarily dumb. Retatta-cooking type stupidity. Had I not heard from plenty of sources that he doesn't know a play book from a coloring book, I still would have thought so just watching him. So basically, the Bills got a third round pick for a guy who can run...and on a good day, maybe tie his shoes. And do not much else. It doesn't sound THAT unfair to me.
  2. Uhhhh...no. You should have examined it more closely. For starters, Ghost of BiB gives this issue all the credibility it deserves. Frenkle gives it FAR too much. As for me...I think all the loons involved (save Judith Miller, who's suffered enough in going to prision for these idiots) should be given a spanking and sent to bed without their supper. Nice to see issues like Social Security have taken a back seat to the far more important <Insert favorite partisan target here> bashing...
  3. I thought it had a great, big 1400-year old Mosque there. Doesn't it? Regardless...think of the outrage if the Wailing Wall or St. Peters was nuked. Hell, think of the WTC. "Seems they could rebuild it" doesn't begin to cover it.
  4. Well...it depends. Are we choosing people we want to honor by carving their faces into a mountain? Or people we'd like to se banished to the South Dakota wilderness?
  5. ...despite the obvious fact that the themes discussed in the op-ed are just as applicable to the Lewinski "crisis" as they are to the Plame "crisis". But I'm sure we'll see through the magic of Frenklevision that this meaningless sh-- is important only when Republicans are involved...
  6. The whole idea of the Espys IS marketing. It's pop culture's answer to MVP awards and such, just the same as MTv awards are pop culture's answer to the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, etc. So if you don't want to watch them...fine. Neither do I, as a matter of fact. But if you want to pretend you've achieved some sort of enlightment by "discovering" that the Espys are shallow, pop-culture driven, ultimately hollow excuses for awards...fine, keep pretending, I think it's hilarious.
  7. That was fabulous. Did you hear the latest? Now someone from Time says that someone on Cheney's staff told him Plame's name and not Rove, except that Rove told him too and WAS the source... I've got a feeling this is going to get a LOT more absurd before it dies...the ONLY person I respect in this is Judith Miller, for sticking to her principles.
  8. RE: the "unspectacular" Posey... You can't have "spectacular" at every position, particularly with a salary cap. If Posey's only problem is that he's not Spikes or Fletcher...fine by me. I'll settle for two spectacular and one "unspectacular" but solid linebacker...
  9. Just the "Henry stays in Buffalo" scenario, I think.
  10. I was always just a little bit surprise that when the anti-trust suit against Microsoft was filed, every single computer at DoJ didn't "mysteriously" shut down...
  11. Doubt it. She lives every day thinking she's being persecuted by wingnuts...it wouldn't be much of a change for her.
  12. Of course you are. You're too busy indulging your Connecticut envy...
  13. Though "suburban Bostonians" is pretty good, I've found...
  14. bull sh--. Guillen's hitting .306 and leading the team in runs, home runs, and RBIs. And yet, you make it sound like that trade was almost as stupid as this Rove/Plame/Novak/Time/Newsweek garbage...
  15. It might also be that cocaine is excreted in urine...
  16. Personally, I don't consider Ike, Jack, or Gore to have created anything. Particularly Gore...if he created anything, it was the legislation and policies that allowed a bunch of DARPA and DoD technology to be used in the public domain. And just as there's a difference between inventing and creating, there's an even larger difference between creating a technical infrastructure, and creating policy. No matter how thin you slice it, Gore's statement is still baloney.
  17. Like Venus or Serena Williams?
  18. The legislation wouldn't anyway, unless they specifically made it retroactive. In the absence of that, the stadium deal would have been grandfathered in.
  19. White powder on white porcelain. Doesn't show, makes cleanup easier...
  20. No, step 1 is boiling the pasta to make it soft. Step 2 is frying it to make it crunchy.
  21. Actually, he claims he "took the initiative in creating", not "fostered". But...well, if creation doesn't equal inventing, then you're right. He didn't invent it. He just created it. That's a HELL of a lot less stupid...
  22. Scary thing is...I could totally believe that happened. And then, of course, we'd have Judith Miller sitting in jail asking herself "Well, then, if these two knuckleheads cited each other, just who the !@#$ am I protecting?"
  23. But that's different, because...because...um...FLIGHT SUIT! HALIBURTON! GOAT STORY!
  24. Two questions: who is she, and where do I get one?
