  1. Yeah...well, the only radio station in the area with decent traffic reports spouts that nonsense every day. And they actually believe it. And I'll bet they're a very profitable radio station, too. ("But they shouldn't be! They should be giving their service away free; after all, the provide a necessary public service to hundreds of thousands with traffic and weather reports, why should they profit from it!" Have to remember that next time they go on one of their anti-free-market rants. )
  2. Because corporations SHOULD pay taxes! If he's only paying hundreds of millions, it's not enough. According to the local radio stations in DC, they shouldn't even be allowed to make profits (to quote them: "Why should companies be allowed to make profits?"), as they only make them on the backs of the little people. They should be required to give away services, and any money they happen to collect in the process should be immediately confiscated - er, taxed - by the government and redistributed to the oppressed masses. Note for the sarcasm-impaired: this was sarcasm.
  3. The guy says he quit drinking 25 years ago. I'll assume the rest of your post is accurate, as it is captured on film (which I haven't seen yet), and I'll even stipulate the guy was sober when assaulted...but we can't know he truly quit drinking, we can only assume he's telling the truth. Or lying.
  4. What "secret board"? And you have to admit, "he was getting excited on the sidelines and high-fiving his teammates" is a pretty damned weak criticism (and this is coming from someone who has said multiple times that he doesn't like Losman.) As I recall, such horrible human beings as Jim Kelly have indulged the same antics. Really, you can do better than that. It's not like he punched the coach or frenched Angelo Crowell...
  5. In my office, the professionals take off early for a round of golf. Maybe Bill's secretly pining for Ryan Leaf.
  6. Donahoe was destroying the Sabres' team chemistry? That bastard!
  7. Holcomb was far more accurate with his passes, which at least kept them out of an egregious number of third-and-long situations. Even if he didn't stretch the field, his completions made the difference between 3rd and 11 vs. 3rd and 2, or 3rd and 8 vs. 1st and 10, or 3rd and 7 vs. 1st and 10, or 3rd and 10 vs. 3rd and 5. Five drives either kept alive or kept within managable distances on third down because Holcomb managed simply throw an unspectacular completion. Other than that...you're right. Irrespective of the QB, this offense sputters and stumbles its way through a game. Like my signature says: if the answer is Kelly Holcomb, someone's asking the wrong !@#$ing question.
  8. We know it wasn't one of Frerotte's cousins because it was actually Joaquin Phoenix.
  9. Not quite yet. He's only hit, what, one kick longer than 45 since 2002? Now granted, 45 yards isn't a chip shot...but one? And that one was yesterday!!! One kick could be an accident. If he hits a second outside of 45 yards before 2008...then maybe I'll consider he might be aspiring to being a real kicker. And you forgot to include that yesterday's play calling was merely half-assed, rather than the full-assed "We ran the ball successfully once...time for play-action end-around fake reverse screen passes!" retatta-like crap we've been seeing.
  10. It must have cowbell.
  11. No, one does not B word. One does recognize, however, that when said win is less a result of good play and more because of the Dolphins repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot, it does not indicate a good team.
  12. Then apparently offensive holding never, ever, ever happens. There were at least six times holding could have been called against Miami yesterday...and I assume there were about as many missed against the Bills' o-line.
  13. The brunette ain't THAT bad. The suicide blonde, however...
  14. On behalf of the Buffalo Bills, I'd like to thank you and the Miami Dolphins for the gift win today. Between all the penalties and Gus Frerotte doing his best Ray Lucas impression... "Both look sad" is right. That was like watching a Special Olympics event.
  15. In the interest of giving competing theories equal time: either sh-- just happens, we've pissed off God, or it's all the work of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and His Noodly Appendage...
  16. Considering how utterly confused he's looked the last four games, if Vincent sincerely believes what he said he should be benching himself.
  17. "Willis isn't good because he has to rely on blocking for hs 4.8 yards per carry average." Well, hell...if he can't get 4.8 yards per carry without blocking, then there's clearly no reason to run the ball.
  18. I remember when Newt Gingrich suggested that: the federal government insuring that no homeless American was without a laptop.
  19. But is it enough?
  20. I read your post, ya dumb hobbit. Mine had nothing to do with yours; I was merely pointing out that the standard should be different (i.e. higher) for the Bills.
  21. I'm not going to suggest a number...I am, however, going to suggest that given the Bills' QB situation (particularly the need to protect Losman from himself and let him learn at a reasonable pace), "underutilized" carries with it a different standard than it would for an offense with more mature QBs such as the Colts' or Eagles'. "Average utilization" in this case is frankly underutilization.
