  2. Peyton's line: everything I want my offensive line to be.
  3. So INS has a counter-proliferation office? (Upon reflection...they probably do. Probably everyone does inside the beltway.)
  4. Not that I'd kick either one out of bed.
  5. Did you ask him how to pronounce his name?
  6. Only half the time...
  7. All due respect to Palmer...but he's having one ridiculous season. Manning's had a bunch. If Palmer maintains his current performance over two or three more years, then I'll consider him in Manning's league. Not before.
  8. Bill collecters haven't found you yet?
  9. Actually, the way they're playing, I'd say any road game is a sure loss. That leaves New England and Denver...and I have a very tough time seeing them beating Denver. 1-4 over the last 5 games and a 5-11 overall record seems depressingly realistic, to be brutally honest. Which is probably what I would have predicted at the beginning of the season (if I remembered, I don't keep track. Predictions are like large intestines: everyone has one and it's usually full of sh--.) That doesn't make me some sort of fantastic prognosticator; it just makes me a pessimist.
  10. By your standards, that is finesse. Ask Iowa.
  11. Last I checked, the Democrats were crooks too. Not that it absolves this !@#$ of his wrongdoing (and a stupid !@#$, no less...doesn't anyone use offshore accounts anymore? )...I just wanted to point out that the underwear is largely non-partisan.
  12. The port of Kaffa, and Genoese traders. And actually, it wasn't the bodies. Once the body dies, the fleas abandon the corpse, and the corpse is effectively rendered non-infective. More likely it was just black rats moving between the Mongol camps and the city during the siege, then stowing away aboard Genoese ships. If it were "use of WMDs", it was hardly intentional on the Mongols' part. And even if you argue unintentional "use" is still "use"...it's still not the ultimate. The introduction of Old World diseases (mumps, measles, syphillis, smallpox) to the New World was far more devastating.
  13. Then why didn't you use those on Iowa instead?
  14. As I recall, it was reported that a handful of old shells with CW markings were found at a depot. I assume that reported incident was not the only one (I have a vague recollection of another shell with CW markings being used in an IED, as well). But the real key points were: the shells were old and largely inert (chemical weapons have a shelf life, the shells they found were well past expired). They were probably lost during the extended shell game Saddam played with inspectors: he moved lots of sh-- around trying to hide it, and misplaced some of it, accidentally and intentionally on the theory that if he didn't know where it was, the UN couldn't blame him for not reporting it. Clearly, he's not an Iraqi Kurd or a middle-aged Iranian male. I'll take the cannonball. I can live without a leg. Organophosphates, on the other hand, are nasty stuff.
  15. And actually, by that definition and judging by the condition of lower Manhattan, 767s would be WMDs as well. Like I said, "vague".
  16. Does anyone other that Drudge even care?
  17. Duh. Neither. You question it if it's Fox, but take it as gospel if its the Daily Mirror. And conveniently neglect the fact that both are owned by that trash-monger Rupert Murdoch.
  18. I think, after ten years of this crap, too many people have forgotten what a "pocket" is supposed to be.
  19. I agree. I think that's terrible, and I think those people should be kicked off the team and some real offensive linemen brought in...
  20. Seriously, though...last I checked, her claim to activism was losing her son. She's not an anti-war philosopher, she's at most an anti-war symbol . What the hell is there to write about? There's only so many pages you can fill with "Bush sucks, I miss my son."
  21. Good. I respect the lack of hypocrisy.
  22. What a...surprise...
  23. Yeah...I shed a tear for that wasted draft pick.
  24. Actually, Bledsoe is the root cause.
