  1. In other words, you feel perfectly free to define any word you use however you want to define it at the moment. Gee...I wonder why you can't communicate with anyone...
  2. But we can't because we can only think reactively, because nothing's proactive unless it's instinctive, like spwaning salmon or a clown balancing on a beach ball.
  3. Hey! No need to post so hyperactively!
  4. By way of further example, in response to the breathtaking proactive salmon spawning analogy, I feel compelled to link to my earlier post: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...ndpost&p=614375 My posting that is yet another example of being proactive. It was not instinctive, I anticipated you taking this thread into the realm of utter nonsense, and posted according to the anticipation. It is possible, believe it or not, to formulate foreign policy in the same manner.
  5. Well...no one likes you, so you can just retroactively !@#$ off. Don't know what that means? Let me explain it with this clown analogy...
  6. What if I do nothing and he puts me on "ignore'? Then am I !@#$ing off inactively?
  7. Ergo, your conjecture is that foreign policy can never cause something to happen and thus control a situation, but can only respond. And that seems accurate to you?
  8. Wow. You just made Mickey look unbiased, rational, and level-headed. That's tough to do.
  9. Then I call bull sh--. The 9th Circus has a track record of questionable decisions that make you sit up and go "huh?" like one of Newbie's posts. You can't reasonably compare the 4th to them and then say "Well...they haven't done anything yet..." I'll agree the potential's there - anyone who actively supported Helms isn't quite right in the head, IMO - but the potential's also there for me to machine gun the local McDonalds. That doesn't make me as nuts as James Huberty, until I actually DO it.
  10. He should start small. I've got an old Charlie Brown Dictionary he can borrow...
  11. Should I do it proactively, or reactively?
  12. So salmon spawning is proactive, but a mature and reasoned foreign policy is reactive? Do you write for a living? Because you should. Write comedies. This sh-- is solid gold. I'm sorry...we were having a discussion? I thought the rest of us were just busting on you for being completely incapable of picking up a dictionary and looking up the definitions of "proactive" and "reactive". Here's a hint: they are NOT synonymous with "instinctive" and "reasoned".
  13. The 11th is pretty nuts...but what'd the 4th do? I'm not familiar with any of their decisions.
  14. Isn't "instinctive proactive" redundant? I thought reacting on instinct was proactive to begin with? Man, this sh--'s more confusing than discussing shovels with VABills.
  15. And I'd call you an idiot for believing that...but I've already done so proactively.
  16. I was going to say that legislating from the bench is a fiction except for the 9th Circus...except I figured that everyone would be smart enough to know that the !@#$ing idiots on the 9th are the obvious lunatic fringe exception and not the rule. Sorry I overestimated you.
  17. Not Whittington. Apparently he had another heart attack today. This PROVES Cheney was drunk, I guess...
  18. Or can't look them up. There's lots of stuff I can't recall by rote...but I know where to find it.
  19. It's instinctive...so I'm not sure...
  20. If you think you can call someone a racist and terrorist without providing supporting evidence, you're on a better brand of crack than I. You made the statement, Ed. Not me. So again...link?
  21. I'm just guessing...but I'll bet the response you get to this is: "You're an anti-semetic, racist, anti-American terrorist."
  22. Stop making sense. That has no place here.
  23. And oh-by-the-way...did you really just say that the only truly proactive action would be an instinctive reaction?
  24. Thus proving once and for all Newbie's hypothesis that all policy is reactive? But I digress. I'm sorry. Carry on.
