This ought to generate some controversy
Crap Throwing Monkey replied to TPS's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And as much validity based on the typical arguments many people take regarding racism and political correctness. That practice ain't exactly exclusive to the Jews...it's just less tolerated in them. Jesse Jackson and his ilk gets away with just that on a daily basis. (As do many others. Jesse's posse is just the most convenient and obvious example I could think of.) -

I have no time to read it right now, alas. Give me a synopsis. With luck, maybe RkFast will give me one, too...and then I'll know the truth is somewhere in between your lunatic interpretations. -

Makes one wonder what the actual journal article says. Because UPI's report on it reads like so much "It's the Jews' fault!" crap. However, I blame that strictly on UPI. -
You're clearly a very bitter person.

Terrorists...uhhh...well, they're doing something. This season has a plot? Why spoil it with a plot? I'm still trying to figure out precisely why most of the sh-- this season is happening. Seems to me, for example, that the terrorists released nerve gas (which acts far more like a corrosive blood agent, actually) in CTU just to kill Edgar and Samwise Gamgee.

That would be "God made the towers fall."

Actually, they only spent months...and don't forget, they wired WTC7 for demolition beforehand...so they could destroy the building six hours after they destroyed the towers. Of course, if they could secretly wire WTC7 for demolition in the months preceding, you'd think they could...oh, I don't know...maybe steal the incriminating documents. Or set fire to them. Or something. It would certainly be a hell of a lot easier. But it would also be suspicious...and the simple fact that the operation was designed so that we would suspect Arabs and not the government proves it's a government conspiracy. What, you think that terrorists kidnapping the Secretary of Defense to broadcast his execution on the internet, to use the internet traffic to mask their attempt to remotely melt down every nuclear reactor in the country while they steal a stealth fighter to shoot down Air Force One to get the nuclear codes to launch their stolen American nuclear warhead at Los Angeles - in 24 hours - is unrealistic?

Northeast due for a major hurricane
Crap Throwing Monkey replied to IBTG81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
'72? I know there was one before my time - Gloria, I think - that caused severe flooding along the Buffalo-Pittsburgh corridor. Generally, though, hurricanes don't hit Buffalo as hurricanes, just as big rainstorms. When a hurricane hits Long Island, on the other hand, it tends come in like a freight train. Rhode Island's particularly vulnerable, since the bay in the eastern part of the state tends to funnel a storm surge right into downtown Providence. -

It should. The Northeast is due for a sunrise. -
I've heard that one. I'm surprised you haven't heard the motive, it's a good one. The reason WTC7 was demolished was: there were documents incriminating Enron in the basement. I'm not even making that up (well, it is made-up, but not by me. And people actually believe that.)

A couple weekends ago the wife and I were out with one of her coworkers and family, including coworker's mother spending a month over here from England, and coworkers sister-in-law. At one point the subject turned to cats, and being that across the pond "kitty" as used every day actually means "cat", most of us thought little of it when coworker's British mum turned to sis-in-law and said quite innocently "So...how's your kitty?" It was when sis-in-law got this really confused look on her face and exclaimed quite loudly "Wh-...WHAT????" that we all cracked up.

Nah. With you're background, you're a perfect fit for making the "special sauce" for Big Macs.

Clearly, there were explosives in the nose of the plane that were contact fused... And really, isn't that a MUCH more believable story than remote-control airplanes firing missiles into the building moments before they themselves impact? Why even bother?

First they complain we don't give them armor
Crap Throwing Monkey replied to VABills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I suspect it's probably illegal. If it's not, it probably should be. Imagine the potential for market manipulation. -
Could the next NFL commisioner be...

This thread - this POST in particular - makes the John Lennon seance thread look intelligent. -

You're not actually telling me that there's actually trade-offs to be considered, are you? You mean...the real world's complex???? It's becoming my new mantra: Americans are !@#$ing stupid. I'm about one stupid lawsuit or dumbass Condi Rice thread away from "We deserve to be nuked by terrorists." -
Funny how people who say crap like this universally come from the third group.

Halliburton moved them to Iraq for Hussein to use as human shields, so the Bush/Cheney cabal could conveniently kill the last remaining witnesses to the 9/11 conspiracy in such a way that no one would notice, as the public would be too focused on Iraq at the time. See? It all fits so neatly, it MUST be true!

There's actually a site out there somewhere that uses a picture taken from a building, a couple of public satellite shots, and some high-school trigonometry to prove that the "missile" that hit the Pentagon was moving too fast to be a plane. Problem is, they have the picture being taken from the wrong building, so their calculations are all off. I know this because the person that took the picture was standing next to me on the roof of my apartment when she took it. But somehow, these yahoos insist that they're right and I'm wrong. The simple fact is: most of these consipracies about the Pentagon were created by people who've never been within a mile of it. A simple visit to the site would clear up probably 80% of the "questions"...but people think they can somehow divine "the truth" based on anything they can find over the internet. Ditto the WTC. Just look at that ridiculous "investigative video" linked to aboce. Any bozo with a Mac, an internet connection, and some Macromedia software is suddenly a professional photo-analyst and investigative journalist all rolled into one. News flash: a grainy home-movie shot at 24 frames per second analysed by someone with more imagination than brains is NOT conclusive evidence to anyone with a modicum of common sense, whether it's the WTC or the Homerun Throwback. Christ, Americans are !@#$ing stupid.
-
I'm going to say what I say every time the "A missile, not a plane, hit the Pentagon" story comes up: I don't care what some anonymous yahoo on the internet says, I saw the !@#$ing plane with my own eyes!!! Of course, every time I say that, I'm either wrong or brainwashed.

I don't think recognizing that anyone would be better than Santorum is biased; I think it's just a minimum requirement for being considered sane. And I'd submit that Casey's a better choice than Santorum. Still..."better than Santorum" is shooting pretty damned low. At least, Casey doesn't seem like a total schmuck from his web site (I'd rate him maybe a '5' on the Official Crap Throwing Monkey Schmuckitude Scale, with '0' being an unachievable lack of schmuckiness and '10' being best described as 'Newbie'), which in itself is pretty high praise these days.
