There was an article in last week's Defense News about how people are getting rather pissed at the Navy's casual attitude towards ships' names, actually. They're breaking lots of sensible naval tradition (some predating the United States), and not a few actual federal laws.

To clarify my statement further, for EII...those are dormers. Since a gable is roughly defined as the triangular area under the peak, and it is possible to have dormers without such a feature (like this), you might call them "gable-style" dormers. But I wouldn't. I'd just call them "dormers", and the other example "an ugly-ass addition".

I'm also aware that it depends on the existing construction of the house - judging by the way the attic's finished, the roof may be trussed in such a way that adding dormers is difficult. Shut the !@#$ up. Dormers. I suppose you could call them gable-style. Like this...only more balanced and not architecturally lopsided.

Personally...I have the impression that he's a relative nobody who's involvement in 9/11 was little to none after the decision-makers figured out what a flake and an idiot he was...but he's someone who wants to feel important and wants people to think he's done something in his life, so he's vastly overstating his role to build up his own sense of self-importance. And you don't execute someone like that. You pity them, and laugh at them...

In my defense, although I seem like a "suddenly-new-but-I've-been-there-all-along Sabres fan", it's just that, now that its the playoffs and I get to watch them play, I actually have something to say...and, unlike most people, when I have nothing to say I simply don't say anything.

I'm not sure...but I believe TSN and OLN are run by the same people, and they chose to show the same game on both their stations. Which is awfully stupid. Two games, two stations...show both games, morons!
