  1. Did he mention McGahee's 40-time? I REALLY NEED TO KNOW!!!!!
  2. Anyone else says that, I'd agree. You say that, and I start to worry that they're gonna lose a series up 3-1.
  3. Actually, that bozo's been under investigation for quite a while, and it's been speculated that's why he resigned. I hadn't realized this wasn't widely known. It was widely reported well before these warrants were issued, I know.
  4. Clearly a sign of the downfall of Western society. Which means this particular stunt can be traced directly back to IRC.
  5. Come on, people, doesn't anyone know? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SOMEONE PLEASE TELL HIM!!!!!
  6. Not real time. I can actually do other stuff for a couple of hours, come back, and I haven't ignored you. Plus...they encourage proper grammer. None of this junior high "C U L8R" bull sh--.
  7. Same place I did..."Yeah, sure, I'll be a mod..."
  8. And oh-by-the-way...that's four of four games in the series now decided by one goal - two of which were in overtime. Don't anyone delude themselves into thinking Ottawa can't win a series this closely matched, even if they were down 3-0 going in to tonight.
  9. You have the honor now? Okay...then you're an idiot. Consider getting stung by a bee.
  10. And while we're at it...kudos to Emery. He had a good game tonight, easily his best of the series, and had some "Holy sh--!" saves doing it.
  11. I agree. An occasional dose of humility can be a very good thing. (And yes, I see the irony in that.) But Darin's right, too...they need Connelly back. This offense is still deeply talented and scary fast, but even a schmuck like me could see that the timing of the offense was off with Connelly's lack...
  12. Consider giving yourself an ingrown toenail...
  13. So this means I can't call BuffOrange an idiot, then? I'm such a troublemaker...
  14. Last time I used it was 9/11/01, to let some friends know I was okay. I basically feel the same way about chat (if I want to chat with someone, I turn off the computer and pick up the !@#$ing phone) as I do reality TV (if I want to watch reality, I turn off TV and look out the !@#$ing window).
  15. Intermission. When the Sabres stop fighting, it's our turn.
  16. I consider IRC and IM to be the root cause of the downfall of American society, frankly. Hate it. F!@#$ing hate it. If all the people in the world who used IM and IRC regularly were lined up end-to-end, it wouldn't be a bad thing.
  17. His own defenseman plowing into him didn't hurt, either. Really, he may have stopped that shot - he was sliding over to block that corner in time - if the defender hadn't knocked his right leg back. Still...it's a goal. Better to be lucky than good. Even better to be both. And that call on Smolinski was cheap. I've been elbowed worse on the Metro.
  18. Holy sh--. Let's think on this for a minute. Forget all the finger-pointing after Katrina; what happened basically falls into one of two categorizations: 1) The federal government screwed up, and didn't take care of NO. 2) NO screwed up, and didn't take care of themselves. Assuming case 2 is the truth, the new plan is basically saying "We still can't take care of ourselves; it's the state's and fed's responsibility to rescue us." Keeping in mind that New Orleans' original pre-Katrina emergency plan specifically said "Hunker down and wait for federal help". So their new plan has at its core...the same basic premise? Insane. Assuming case 1 is the truth...the federal government screwed up and left NO hanging in the wind (literally). New Orleans' answer to that is: it's the state's and fed's responsibility to rescue us. Why...because maybe they'll get it right this time? So basically, no matter what you choose to believe about Katrina, the updated plan is to make the exact same mistakes they made before. Some people deserve to be killed by hurricanes...
  19. Actually, I look like that during the puck, not following it... Wait...what?
  20. Well, good for them! The Jags are making great strides at improving their line...
  21. No, no, no. It's okay to shoot them in ponchos and sombreros. It's just not okay to call them "wetbacks" while you're doing it.
  22. These discussions with you remind me of talking to my uncle Francis. Means well, thinks he's making sense...but he's got an IQ of roughly 50, doesn't know what he's talking about, and you just have to humor him until he shuts up.
  23. I'll take Hasek, thank you. No WAY he's ready to go...
  24. In general, the South Africans have air superiority, given the near-total dearth of any African combat aircraft outside South Africa...
