How many consecutive days of no new positives will be enough for them to be able to practice? To play another team? Three? Since they've been physically separated since Tuesday, it could be reasonably expected for the positives to stop soon. If they were to have their last positive Monday, I'd say they could play maybe Sunday or Monday. I really don't like the Bills having to go into their facility. Maybe move the venue?

Talking scientific with no political intent. How in the world does a very outgoing QB1 get it, practice with his team all week and not spread it to anyone else? It seriously makes no scientific sense. The players are not wearing masks on the field. Presuming they huddle in practice. Presuming the quarterback "room" is indeed a room. Presuming he has long conversations with his coaches while Hoyer is right next to him. Presuming he meets with his WRs. If the team is taking such great caution in their practices and meetings throughout the week, I think they owe it to the rest of the league to say how they did so well.

I, for one, am not claiming the NFL's handling thus far is giving the infected teams advantages over any of the uninfected teams. But the Titans are getting a better deal, so far, than the Pats*. Once again, I am not complaining but I think Pats* fans have room to complain. That said, I believe the way they are treating the Pats* right now is the right way.

Sporting News reports (on 9/29): Following a positive test, if the player is asymptomatic, he can return once : 10 days have passed since the initial positive test; OR Five days have passed since the initial positive test and the player receives two consecutive negative PCR virus tests at least 24 hours apart within that five-day period Following a positive test, if the player demonstrates symptoms, he can return once: At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared; AND At least 72 hours have passed since he last experienced symptoms In either case, a player who tests positive must be cleared by his team's head physician before returning. Additionally, all players who have tested positive and recovered (or who have tested positive for antibodies) will undergo additional cardiac screening.

I don't think a postponement will be become necessary, as the team's players have all be separated now since Tuesday. The "spread" cannot actually be happening anymore. The new positives we are getting now are just because of the highly variable incubation period. The new +s should stop by early next week, and then they can move on toward out game without the players who were infected. The only hangup might be if they cannot figure out how the virus got to the team to start. OF COURSE, the NFL may see it a whole other way...

I definitely would not want to be in their place. But the rescheduling of their game from Sunday to multiple weeks out gives them a chance to get their infected players back. The Pats* are not getting that chance. Again, I detest the Pats*, so I am not complaining. But it still isn't right. The mistake was made in how they handled the Titans not necessarily how they are handling the Pats-Chiefs; although, that may prove to be the wrong path, as well.

Now that the NFL cannot seem to find a way to postpone the Pats* at Chiefs beyond this week, my worries are confirmed. The NFL is not treating each team the same. I am glad the Pats* will have a competitive disadvantage now having ot play without their QB1, because it hopefully helps the Bills, but it is wrong.

Little doubt he will play. Maybe limited snap count but they use heavy rotation anyway. This defense is going to Vegas determined to dominate and reestablish themselves in the top tier.

I'm using the exact wording from the NFL-NFLPA agreement. But, yeah, I agree. It is only absurd if the NFL and NFLA believe their agreement is absurd. They both agreed that behavior like this would be punished with suspensions. Agreements and rules only matter if they are enforced.

HUGE mistake by the NFL. Consistency is key to even-ground competition. Should another team have a similar situation arise later in the season, particularly after the bye weeks, the league will not be able to make such accommodations. This sets a precedent that the NFL won't likely be able to follow later. I hate to say it, but this now truly is the first loose string of an unraveling ball of yarn.

Suspension of all 10 players is absolutely called for in this case. There is no way around it. If it isn't done, there are not rules. These players violated multiple rules, all of which are clearly tied to reason to suspend. This is much more than not wearing the masks, which only protect others around them. They attended an indoor event that violated local regulations. They attended an indoor event that had more than 10 people. They attended an event at which others were not wearing the appropriate PPP. They did not abide by the mandated social distancing rules. They clearly broke just about every rule the NFLPA agreed to. Nice breakdown at https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/2020/09/raiders-10/.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports: "The NFL and NFL Players Association, which mutually agreed to strict COVID-19 protocols before the start of the season, have been in contact regarding the situation as the players appear to have violated some of the agreed-upon stipulations. "Failure to follow those guidelines, NFL Executive Vice President Troy Vincent has said, could result in the 'suspension of persons involved, and/or the forfeiture of a draft choice.' The Raiders await word from the NFL on potential penalties."

Would it be a competitive game without? Derek Carr Jason Witten Darren Waller Zay Jones Nevin Lawson Foster Moreau Hunter Renfrow Derek Carrier Mike Panasuik Nathan Peterman

Darn.

Bench Carr and the others for this week. Don't let them in the facility. Start Nathan Peterman.
