  2. So the rebuilding begins.
  3. 2mJerry Sullivan ‏ @ TBNSully Highly placed bills source tells me gailey has been fired. Details Jerry Sullivan ‏ @ TBNSully They informed him moments ago, as I understand it. Details
  4. How is this PR game important? I don't recall the last team that made a lot of noise about its search for a head coach or GM that did well.
  5. I wonder if Mr. Wilson is checking Twitter this morning.
  6. I have zero problem with the organization going through this process. Most of the top coordinators who are candidates for head coaching postions aren't even available yet for interviews as they are in the playoffs! And if there is a big name coach out there willing to get back into it, he is not going to jump into a new job without checking out the market first unless he is already set on a particular team. I know it is asking a lot in this instant gratification society, but be patient and let the process work.
  7. Be as blunt as you want. I take no offense. There are at least a few references to his contract in this thread, but I am not talking about the money or the actual commitment to ESPN. I am more broadly talking about the argument that he wants the booth, that he likes all that goes with being the MNF guy, the potential heir the to Madden throne, etc. I bought that argument, but this news has me wondering if this is actually a possibility. But again, I don't really want Jon Gruden.
  8. Mike Florio (starts around 2:40): http://nbcnews.to/WVHxBT
  9. I for one am happy the Jests kept Rex. He isn't a bad tactician, but he will keep the drama going that killed them this year. It also guarantees Tebow is leaving.
  10. Well, the primary argument has been that the meeting couldn't have been about Jon coaching the Bills because he is locked into MNF. Well, that argument is out the window now. That's all I am saying.
  11. Gruden's agent has said Jon Gruden IS willing to interview with teams for a coaching postion! http://wp.me/p14QSB-6QQ4 I think that gives this a bit more credence but still a long shot. That said, I don't really want a coach/GM, which is what I am sure Jon Gruden would demand.
  12. Haha. Yes, as we all know, a 94-year-old needs a good reason to eat. Gotta look good for that camera!
  13. In response to a question about whether he expects any type of developments this offseason in ownership of the Bills, Mike Catalana replied: @MikeCatalana @jchenelly Ownership hasn't changed in 50 yrs Won't change until it has to
  14. Devon, Could you provide your views on the Bengals' offensive coordinator? I think he's going to the Bills' next head coach.
  15. 1 - Chiefs (They need a QB but I doubt they want one at #1 overall) 2 - Jaguars (Tebow and Gabbert) 3 - Raiders (They paid a TON for Palmer, which was their dumb move) \ 4 - Eagles (I think they are high on Foles) 5 - Lions (Stafford, as stated) 6 - Browns (They are sold on Weeden) 7 - Cardinals (They have traditionally preferred to pick up a vet at QB but they could draft one here) 8 - Bills get first or second crack at the QBs, barring a trade up by someone else
  16. If this were true, at all, we'd be hearing about it from the many reporters covering the Bills and the NFL -- not on a message board.
  17. At least he didn't go to the Cowturds, which had been an obnoxious rumor coming out of Texas.
  18. Alex Smith > Joe Flacco > Any QB we could draft in the first two rounds > Tebow > Fitzpatrick > Vick
  19. Adam Schein roasts Gailey plus several other names we're all too familiar with http://on.nfl.com/U9N1GX Unfortunately, I think he is spot on saying if the Bills care about winning, Chan must go. He also slaps two previous Bills DCs and our old GM.
  20. He is player of the year yet has no serious collegiate offers? Those injuries must be worrisome.
  21. Kyle Shanahan is decent at best. He was pretty bad before this season. I live in the Redskins' market, so I see all their games. I think their succes has a lot more to do with RGIII than it does Kyle.
  22. :-) I did it before I read you post. Too predictable, huh?
  23. Tim Graham is the best writer covering football today.
  24. The full story here in Washington doesn't quite connect. Shanny says Cooley wanted to be the starter, so he cut him when they decided Fred Davis was the starter. Cooley has said a few times in the media that he is prepared to play whatever role the Redskins needed of him. The Skins did not offer a renegotiated contract. Cooley has been hurt for a couple years now.
  25. Why do people start a thread, stating their opinion and then seemingly never look at their thread again?
