Anyone else think the Bills have some strategy behind which QBs are playing with the 1s on days the media are present? Or does it not matter at all to them given we will all see the battle unfold in camp?

To be fair, one is a former football coach who completely immerses himself in the game. The other is a well spoken fan with a press pass. As a fan myself, I am glad we have both offering their takes. Yep. But if they changed it, tons of people would complain - no matter how they changed it. Not changing is safe.

His contract is fair and makes good sense for both the player and the team. If he emerges as a starter this year or next, he'd deserve a raise the next season. That's what he'd get with the contract. That raise does not need to be defined now. His level of play would dictate that.

I just listened to the interview, paying attention to hear the bits I read about on Twitter. He seems really happy with the new staff, relieved there was a regime change.Seems Marrone and company did not like Goodwin and, in Goodwin's eyes, mislead the fans into thinking he was being kept out because of injuries when that was not the case.

I agree it'd be best for the Bills' future for either EJ or Tyrod to earn the starting job this summer. But I also agree it seems most likely Cassel has the edge going in because of his large advantage in experience. But that all worries me. Cassel is a different style QB than EJ/Tyrod. Cassel is not durable. How big of a deal is it if the new offense is designed, at least in part, to maximize Cassel's strengths, and then he goes out long-term with an injury?

I think there is a difference between being intrigued by it versus being concerned about it. As a fan, I find it interesting since Chris Williams appears, to me, to be fighting for his job and maybe even an NFL roster spot.

Especially interesting the two we're hearing about being absent right now are both players most here have identified as likely being on the bubble.

There are other players at OBD each day right now spending time in the classroom and rehabbing when the rest hit the field.
