He was only in position to attempt a comeback because the Bills defense kept them in and how bad the Jags were. The problem was the end, it was how terrible he is when he is off. His inconsistency is why he'll never be a regular starter again. There is nothing out there to indicate otherwise. Fair enough. But I'll point out that your evidence is three years old. Mine is one.

Who has? I think Hughes is the best speed rusher in the game. His one shortcoming is that he sometimes gets there so fast he cannot control his body enough to make some solo tackles. But what if Lawson is fast enough that he can get there just after Hughes to help finish the play?

I don't care for this reporter, but I dont't see her as doubling down. She's just saying that she was told otherwise yesterday and now it seems the Bills don't agree with what she was told. I was mistaken in part of my answer earlier in this thread. It is legal to fake a 1-point try and attempt to score two points. But it is indeed illegal to start at the 3-yard line and attempt to kick for 1 point.

Because that's now it works. That's not how any of this works. If you elect to go for one, you have to go for one. If you go for two, you have to go for two. Faking it isn't allowed on either type of XP try under the present-day rules.
