  1. Just a quick reminder that Tyrod has a 92.3 career QB rating. He has a winning record as a starter. He threw for more than 3,000 yards each of this two seasons as a starter. The offense he led just this last season was in the top-third of the league in scoring and top-three in turnovers lost. He did what was asked of him. He holds several Bills team records, including highest completion percentage in a single game (91.7%) and most consecutive pass attempts without an interception (222).
  2. Not defending anyone's actions here. But I missed the accusation of a racial slur being used. Where did you see that?
  3. They invest a lot of money into these players and this puts them at risk. If anyone from the stink' fish's front office admits that, they'll take a beating for sure. The Bills picked up their game and moved to Detroit a few years back, losing a lot of cash. Not sure if there were other options, but they did it and the franchise didn't go broke. I would hope they'd put competitive reasoning ahead of financial considerations.
  4. I think it is a huge disadvantage. You talk about injuries, which are a major part of the game. The bye week is most important so that players can recover from injuries and rest to prevent them. That option is gone for these two teams. It'll be interesting to see if they have more injuries later in the season than the other 30 teams. Again, I am not complaining and don't feel bad for the stinkin' fish, but I see it as a clear, major disadvantage.
  5. Once Kaep realizes his football career is over (if it is), I am guessing he'll run for office or at least go on the paid speaking tour.
  6. Not necessarily saying the NFL is doing the screwing. I am guessing the teams had a big say in this. The bottom-line is that both teams now have a major disadvantage.
  7. Not all the cases he referred to are clearly acts of excessive force. Why cloud his situation by bringing in other incidents. Some of those people he brought up were actually breaking the law. If Bennett's case is strong enough to stand on its own, then he should let it.
  8. I am OK with his complaint, but he ruins it by comparing himself to actual criminals who were killed while breaking the law. Please note I am NOT saying all the people he mentioned by name were criminals, at least some were not. My point is he does himself no favors by naming others in that way.
  9. Agreed. Very surprising this was the best the league could do. As a Bills fan, I am not complaining. But, seriously, the fish & Bucs are getting screwed.
  10. I've watched every preseason snap, been to camp a number of times and read every analysis. Peterman may or may not be a better option later in the season, but I don't think it is reasonable to believe he could step in Week One of his rookie season and give us a better chance than Tyrod does.
  11. I know! He signed a $6.4 million contract this past offseason.
  12. Realizing there is no sarcasm font, I will still assert that there is no reasonable argument that I can imagine that says there is a better option on the Bills roster today for Week One.
  13. Hauschka is 32, a seasoned vet who's seen it all and kicked in two Superbowls. He has a ring. Good choice.
  14. This is terrible for the stinkin' fish. They'll be playing 16 straight and will surely complain about it all year.
  15. Although, he will play this Sunday.
  16. Excellent move here. Today's roster moves make sense and all seem to have value. What will tomorrow bring..?
  17. I disagree. Today's average pro athlete is an individual first, teammate second. Brotherhood chemistry doesn't just happen, especially not a week or two into the preseason, which of course is when this photo was taken. I think we could see 53 guys fighting for not just themselves this season but for one another. That's unique these days. As much as I hate the Pats*, they play for one another. Um, the Cowboys haven't won anything in a long time. The Steelers also have real chemistry and have been together for a lot longer than most teams, which is a direct contributing factor to their success. Good players choose whether to stay on one team or not.
  18. I thought defense was very impressive. They were working together for the first time in a couple years. It seemed like the penalties were fixed as the pre-season went on. Of course you're right about the past.
  19. When Streater went down with a toe injury, the entire team huddled around him. It was very unusual, maybe only seen before when grave (Kevin Everett-like) injuries occur. To me it was a glimpse of the culture McD is trying to install here. Many players & coaches interviews I've heard since hint that this culture is taking hold. So I'm wondering how valuable is that when it comes to wins and losses? This stopped my angst over what can appear to be tanking, getting me to instead believe maybe this really is investing in the future AND the now.
  20. Makes too much sense.
  21. The Buffalo Bills. Forever. May fans who give up go to hell.
  22. I have season tix, as well. If they cannot at least win seven, then all the crap about not tanking was lies. I won't buy seasons next season then.
  23. Good trade for the Bills. Arguing against that is unreasonable. Seymour wasn't on track to make the Bills. Clay will likely make the team. Throw in an extra (not-quite-meaningless) draft pick, and it is clear the Bills got a bit of value where there wasn't anything.
  24. The comments on his Intagram pic have turned vicious. Lots of hate being thrown his way over his comments to ESPN about Kaep. They are thrashing Tyrod and the Bills, too.
  25. He flew in on the Pegula's jet. If he leaves without signing, he's taking Uber. Oh wait...cannot catch an Uber until the end of the month.
