  1. I'm just gald he'll be out of New England!
  2. the media loves the Bills, not sure why Really? You could have fooled me. It is kind of nice to the fans of other teams have the same gripes. Skin the Bengals!
  3. Here, here!
  4. Not that is matter at all, but the MVP will have two syllables Mann-ing. By the way, I do believe the Irish names will have their day in the sun in the not-so-far-off future.
  5. One lesson I've learned in my years as a Bills fan -- he who talks to most trash, usually eats it in the end. Please don't set us up...
  6. Bengal fans have several good reasons to hate the Bills: -They wanted to keep Takeo Spikes -- he is a Bill -They wanted Sam Adams -- he is a Bill -They really wanted Troy Vincent -- he is a Bill -They loved Sam Wyche -- he is a Bill
  7. I think the Bills can get to Carson Palmer and make him make mistakes. That would be the key, and I'd predict a 31-10 win for the Bills if Palmer plays. But, I would be suprised to see Palmer in pads at all. The Bengals have to look at what the D did to Garcia Sunday and realize there is no reason now to put their future on the line. There is a lot less recent film available of John Kitna. I think Kitna is a good QB who won't make the same mistakes under pressure that Palmer will. Though he is still good for a pick or two. All that said, the Bills D and running game will prevail in Cinnci! Don't forget, this is a homecoming for Takeo and Sam Wyche.
  8. You may be correct in that PRalph didn't want to move the Bills (I don't know), but no one misheard him. Madden said that Ralph wanted to move the Bills to Miami. I just watched it on tape.
  9. Bengals' Palmer questionable for Sunday Bengals' Palmer questionable for Sunday Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer is questionable for Sunday's game against Buffalo after an MRI exam Monday revealed no serious damage to his left knee. Palmer suffered a sprained knee in the third quarter of this past Sunday's game against New England. Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said Palmer's status for the upcoming game depends on the quarterback's threshold for pain and how the knee responds to treatment during the week. "It's a matter of his tolerance and flexibility," said Lewis. "We'll see what happens. He's still in his brace and crutches as of today and we'll see where he goes on Wednesday." Palmer was hurt on a hit by New England's Richard Seymour and stayed down momentarily. He was eventually able to walk into the locker room under his power. Jon Kitna took over the quarterbacking duties for the Bengals (6-7) and led the club on one scoring march and nearly had another, but was intercepted in the end zone during the 35-28 loss. Kitna, who was making his first appearance of the year, finished 9-of-13 for 126 yards with the touchdown and an interception. He would get the start against the Bills if Palmer is unable to play. Palmer was having a solid day against the defending Super Bowl champions, as he was 18-of-24 for 202 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. In his first season as a starter, the former Heisman Trophy winner and overall No. 1 draft pick has completed 60.9 percent of his passes for 2,897 yards with 18 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
  10. I'm going to do my best to be there! I'll send you a personal message later this week, CenteralVaBills. I live up in Fredericksburg. We usually have two couples at the Hard Time Cafe and Cue at Four-Mile Fork. We had to dump Unlce Sams as it was taken over by Steelers' fans. What I find so annoying is how many fans I KNOW are in this area, but I never see more than two or three at any one place. I am tired of having the Bills game turned off right in front of me because I'm the only Bills fan there. I hope to see lots of you Sunday in Richmond!
  11. Hell yeah, yeah!
  12. Marino still hasn't closed door on return to Dolphins Good for him; even better for us! Between Dannie and Rickie, this is so much fun to watch.
  13. That was me. I remember when he was retiring he was training at a Pittsofr McDs because he was buying a few in Western NY. Maybe he bought the tickets?
  14. Anybody have fuggin' WGR on?
  15. Winfield is playing very well in Minni -- scratch that -- he was palying well -- his ankle is screwed up now. I agree that we got the better end of the deal. We have linebackers who can tackle the running back. We need someone who can cover top receivers -- McGee is getting to that point already.
  16. Troy better play -- think he could have gone last week? My thinking that MM decided to hold him out to be safe and also to not mess with the defensive team chemisty. But, Baker got burnt too many times -- if Troy can play, he better!
  17. WEEK 14: Bills over Browns Dolphins over Broncos Giants over Ravens Bears over Jaguars Steelers over Jets WEEK 15: Bills over Bengals Packers over Jaguars Chiefs over Broncos Colts over Ravens Seahawks over Jets Steelers over Giants WEEK 16: Bills over 49ers Titans over Broncos Texans over Jaguars Steelers over Ravens Patriots over Jets WEEK 17: Bills over Steelers Colts over Broncos Raiders over Jaguars Rams over Jets Dolphins over Ravens 49ers over Patriots To finish ahead of the the Jaguars, Jacksonville needs to lose at least one game. To beat out the Ravens, Baltimore needs to lose at least two games. The Broncos need to lose at least two games. And the Jets need to lose all of their remaining four games. Of course, four out five of these teams need to lose the perscribed number of games, or the Bills will be stuck shoveling snow in January. The only Bengals game that really matters is Week 15 -- either the Bills beat them and knock them out, or they beat us and knock us out.
  18. I was hoping this was a Troy Vincent post.
  19. I'm all out. I'll probably get more, so feel free to send a request anyway. I'll get back to you when I get more.
  20. I also have six -- just let me know your e-mail address, and you got one -- while supplies last. PM me.
  21. Army opens new investigation into 'friendly fire' death of Pat Tillman WASHINGTON (AP) - The Army has opened a new investigation into the friendly fire death in Afghanistan of Pat Tillman, who quit the NFL to be a Ranger, officials said Dec. 6. Army officials said Tillman's family sought additional information about circumstances of his April 22 death, but the fundamental account of the battle in which he was killed is not being challenged. "The family asked questions, and we're looking to get answers to the questions," said Army spokesman Paul Boyce. Officials declined to be more specific. The Army's Special Operations Command, based at Fort Bragg, N.C., is conducting the investigation, said command spokeswoman Carol Darby. Then-acting Army Secretary Les Brownlee ordered the new investigation in mid-November based on the family's questions, Army officials said. The results of original Army investigation were released on May 29. It found that Tillman was shot to death on April 22 after a U.S. soldier mistakenly fired on a friendly Afghan soldier in Tillman's unit, and other U.S. soldiers then fired in the same direction. Initial reports by the Army had suggested that Tillman was killed by enemy gunfire when he led his team to help another group of ambushed soldiers. Tillman, 27, left his position as a starting safety for the Arizona Cardinals to join the Army after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. He was posthumously promoted from specialist to corporal and received posthumously a Purple Heart and Silver Star. The latter is among the military's highest honors, awarded for gallantry on the battlefield. No soldiers faced judicial action as a result of his death, but several were disciplined, Darby said. One enlisted soldier faced formal administrative charges, and four more Rangers, including an officer, were transferred from the elite Ranger force to elsewhere in the Army. Two more officers were reprimanded, she said. The military would not release additional details because the disciplinary actions were administrative, Darby said.
  22. ... but I watched the movie Rudy and it said Rudy wouldn't be considered a real member of the Irish until he played at least one play! Hell, it was worth a shot.
  23. I was wondering the same thing. I'd say no because he never played a down last year -- that said, is he eligible for Rookie of the Year? I think they NFL should say yes!
  24. I honestly didn't see your post until after I sumbitted mine. It was a great a$$ whipping!
