  1. He's in training. Seriously. Something about looking over a waitress' shoulder all night... Every facemask penalty is a personal foul.
  2. "A lot of laundry on the field tonight."
  3. Damn, it McBean is saying that...
  4. Some tidbits I learned from the Bears' broadcast: - Chicago is the greatest city on Earth. - Zay Jones "can fly" - The Bears will have a top-5 D this season - Trubisky is a superstar - AJ McCaron is likely our starter Week One
  5. But if you want to watch it, which I do, we are only able to watch the home team broadcast.
  6. Well, the good news is it we get to put AJ right back on the field.
  7. Maybe get a 7th for AJ? And damn did he quit fast on that.
  8. Watching via GamePass tonight, which means I have to endure the Bears local telecast. They are really, really bad. I was expecting more from a market that size.
  9. Even if Richie and the Bills somehow reconciled and wants to get back to together, I'm thinking the NFL would suspend him for eight games considering his recent run-ins with the law and his past suspension.
  10. I really don't see the stinkin' fish sweeping the Pats or grabbing a wildcard.
  11. The odd part was that today and last week the offense was very vanilla in the 1st half but not as much in the second half. I'm talking about less pre-snap movement, less motion.
  12. I was at the game, focusing on the WRs, TEs and RBs the first-half. Just like last week when McCarron was at the helm, the receivers were not getting any separation, often running into traffic. The TEs and RBs were trying to bloch and releasing late, giving nothing in the way check down options in time considering the paper-thin o-line. Oddly vanilla offense for the 1s each of the past two games now.
  13. My 9-year-old son noticed this first thing today. He immediately gave the new look a big thumbs down, saying, "Now Billy looks too happy. We made the playoffs but didn't win enough to be happy, yet."
  14. I despise the Pats and former Pats (unless they become Bills). So I'm not defending Patricia. That said, I dislike fat shaming. Mind your own business.
  15. Driving through Baltimore yesterday, the radio show hosts down there are really concerned about this. Never know which version of Flacco will emerge this season. The birds overlooked this guy's age when drafting him because they see a big, pass-catching tight end at their top priority for their offense. Now they are back to zero. They are left with just Maxx Williams and Nick Boyle, who not threats in the passing game.
  16. This is not abnormal. Happens most years, give or take a day or two. It sets them up with a nice long break between the final preseason game and the season opener.
  17. That is rough. How does a team in such a situation expect to be competitive? How does the NFL allow that to happen? I don't recall a situation like that, at least being public, in the past 20 years. That being said, there are other ways the Bills or any trade partner could compensate the Raiders for Mack, such as cold, hard cash.
  18. The only reasons the Bills would start Bodine at center week one is if they feel they must start Groy at guard or if Groy isn't available. But that latter doesn't seem to be in the plans. Groy is the man.
  19. A first and a third is not too much for a proven, still young superstar. But the salary might be too much when considered in the long-term plans.
  20. If the Raiders don't trade him to Buffalo, I hope they deal with an NFC team. I wouldn't want to face him more than once every few years if I were the Raiders.
  21. Very impressed by the staff and by the team chemistry. It's intangibles such as those that make the differences in December and January.
