  1. Sunny, do you ever write a post that is less than 1,000 words? He mentioned that the Bills could of "had the best of both worlds." Are we to take that to mean he could have co-existed with McGahee but the team did or said something that ruined that? I take it to mean that as long as he was put back in as the starter right away, he would have been happy.
  2. I got your point, Bill. Yes, but our GM is way smarter than the Giants, and we're not yet to the point where we're going after someone in particular. The Giants got seriously ripped off because they had advertised that they wanted Manning more than they wanted to win. I don't seriously think the Fish would give up the #2 pick, but, hey, they've done some pretty dumb things in the past -- why not be the benifactor of yet another blunder? My purpose of the post was to ask yet another "what if" question, which is what is done on this board 99% of the time. I don't think it is so far fetched that it doesn't deserve to be asked.
  3. Who here thinks the Bills should trade Travis and next year's first round pick to the Fish for this year's second overall pick? I don't think the Bills have any needs big enough for a second overall pick. Who would we go after, or would we trade that for a second and late-first this year?
  4. If we can get even four out of these five FAs, I'm sure the Bills will be challenging the Pats for the division in 2005 and playing in at least the second week of the playoffs. I think we can get a 2nd for Travis. I agree that Pat Williams needs to be resigned and that Jennings will want too much money. I really would like to see the Bills draft Nugent.
  5. I don't care how much they cost -- I want some big, juicy wings right now. Maybe a little Boss Sauce on 'em. Plus some great blue cheese.
  6. Nine bucks is a rip-off plain and simple.
  7. Sounds good to me, but I would rather Crennel go to Seattle or something.
  8. I am getting real sick of you people who come here stating something as fact when it is straight out false. Stussy109, and all the other guys doing this, I doubt you are doing this to intentionally mislead others here, but at least have the balls to step up and sa you screwed up -- or prove you were right. There is no way I'm going to believe that you started a thread and then left the site before anyone called you out. The first post in this thread saying you were wrong came three damn minutes after you posted. Step up or get out!
  9. The Pats' DC, cannot remeber how to spell his name right now, gets screwed again! I hope someone hires him and gets him oout of our division. At least Nolan is out of the AFC now. He is pretty good.
  10. I'll tape it and watch it after the the AFC Championship game. Great cause, no doubt. Thanks for the info.
  11. Looks like Travis is someone the Card fans have been talking about for a while. Also looks the majority of them think a 2nd rounder is fair. I like it.
  12. To me, there is no quesiton about what the Bills MUST do this offseason to take the next step. Re-sign but Pat and let Jennings go. If the TD can get a 2nd rounder for Travis, which I think he will, then we can draft a kicker and a good o-lineman both in the second. Add a couple free agent o-linemen and we're rolling.
  13. I also don't believe Eric ever said that.
  14. Do blame Drew is he leaves. I probably would retire myself. Think about his situation. He is in his 30s, certainly way past his prime playiing years. He is likely has enough money to provide a good life for hishimslef and his family for the rest of his lifetime and likely the rest of his children's lifetime. He gets the snot knocked out of him every Sunday for at least 16 weeks a year. But, most importantly, the fans show hatred for him constantly, the media just clobber him all year, and even his own teammates have stopped coming to his defense -- even when given clear opportunities to do so. Now, throw on top that the front office is further assaulting his pride by telling him he has to take a pay cut for second year in a row...I'd be so gone. The only reason I think he'll come back next season is if he feels he can somehow build on his "legacy" with a playoff run or by coaching JP into a fine NFL QB. By the way, IMHO, there is little chance for Drew to make the HOF without a Super Bowl.
  15. We can see what this guy would pick -- she wasn't even a stranger! SAO PAULO, Brazil, Jan 14 (Reuters) - A Brazilian man arguing with his 88-year-old mother threw her into a neighbors' yard where two pit bulls mauled her to death, police said on Friday. Painter Luiz Polidoro, 48, picked up his mother Maria and pitched her over the yard wall during an argument on Thursday afternoon at her house. Two pit bulls tied up in the neighboring yard then savaged her and she died later in hospital, a police spokesman said. "He is an alcoholic. He was robbing his mother's pension money so he could drink," the dogs' owner, Helder Bento Rodrigues, told O Estado de Sao Paulo newspaper. Polidoro told police his mother had jumped over the wall on her own. The newspaper said he had tried to rescue her. When police arrived, he was cradling the blood-soaked woman. Polidoro has been jailed in Sao Paulo and charged with murder.
  16. I hate people -- always have. There are too many muther fuggers out there anyway. And I don't give a damn. I like me dog a lot, so, screw it.
  17. He just might want the 49ers to draft him -- especially after they hire Pete Carroll as their head coach.
  18. Another interesting part: http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-re...l/s_291035.html Defenders are injured more than their foes on the offense. A defensive back alone is 30 percent more likely to get hurt than a quarterback, even though a passer touches the ball on every possession. Two out of three cornerbacks and safeties suffer injuries in the NFL annually, and half of those will suffer a second, unrelated injury before the Super Bowl. And... http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-re...l/s_291051.html The investigation also includes a look at the problems that the extra weight many players carry around cause them later in life. A link to the pads story is here: http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-re...l/s_291039.html
  19. http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-re...l/s_291033.html Check out this quote:"You want to know how hard you're hit? If you're a running back, and you're hit full-speed, he can literally knock the feces out of your bowels. You lose all feeling in your limbs. That's how hard they hit in the NFL," said Merrill Hoge. Here is a bone-jarring investigation by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that you can keep in mind this weekend. The 2003 NFL injury rate was nearly eight times higher than that of any other commercial sports league, according to the Department of Labor. The paper points out a trend among some players to stop wearing heavy pads and the NFL does not require them to, however they can be fined if they do not wear the proper socks. Pretty good read, IMHO.
  20. What is up with the Doc not even mentioning Takeo though?
  21. TD will work a deal that get Buffalo a top 50 pick!
  22. zonabb, You shouldn't be allowed to post again on any thread until you come back and face up to this stupidity. Can you read? If anyone else sees him on another thread, please tell him to get his cyber ass back here.
  23. A little LINE training in the swamp? Maybe he could help out with some MCMAP classes.
