  1. I like Wiggins a lot.
  2. Them bleached blondes are quite loose in their own right.
  3. Well... I know football players can get some help from teachers, but the honor roll is pretty good.
  4. December 2005 is Drew. Travis some summer month. And Bobby Shaw is somewhere in the fall. Josh Reed is this month. At least he's still here -- for now.
  5. That is so good to hear.
  6. The bottomline is that if he were to declare for the supp draft, whoever won the lottery and came out with the #1 pick would certainly take him. Many teams would keep him, but I would like to see the Bills trade him. He would likely fetch two regular high round picks -- one in '06 and another in '07.
  7. Thanks, Big Easy! Great stuff.
  8. That too is fair, but I don't know if a guy who met Drew a few times might be as likely to tell us that he cannot complete screen pass to save his life.
  9. Well, I'd rather have him back in the film room.
  10. Hmm, so if you were reading in your local newspaper about a particular company you were thinking about investing in, would like to know before you read it if the writer had money already invested in that company? Ah yes, ignorance is bliss.
  11. I have a lot of questions about our new starting QB, but I'd like to ask one about you first. Do you consider yourself a JP fan? If so, why? I ask this so I can understand where these answers will be coming from. Please don't take this post the wrong way. I appreciate your willingness to help us get to know JP better.
  12. I am hoping JP is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too busy pumping iron, running sprints, zipping bullets through hoops in the field house and just plain glued to Sam Wyche.
  13. My meaning was that TD franchised Peerless and then traded him -- not necessarily to Dallas. Smart ass.
  14. You're correct. This is the play I was thinking of.
  15. Hmm, sounds like a young Jim Kelly with wheels. Not trying to make a real comparison, just saying those certainly are traits that made Kelly a Hall of Famer. By the way, I'll take someone with good football instincts any day.
  16. I knid of agreed with Drew regarding this play. He said he threw it because he was sure it would draw a pass interference penalty. It was pass interference, but no one should ever depend on the refs to make a call. You'd think a 12-year vet would know that.
  17. This is a good little link to some stuff on our new starting QB. http://tulanegreenwave.collegesports.com/s...man_j.p.00.html 2003: One of seven Finalists for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. Completed 251-of-422 passes for 3,077 yards with 33 TDs and 14 INTs, one of the top three seasons in TU history. Only QB in C-USA to surpass the 3,000-yard mark in passing (3,077) and total offense (3,157) this year. His 33 TD passes are second-highest TU single season total and are tied for 3rd in the country (through Nov. 24). Threw at least one TD pass in every game this year; nine games with more than one and seven with three or more. Recorded four straight 300-yard passing games to start the season. Brought Tulane back from a 28-14 deficit versus Miss. St. and finished with 349 yards, four TDs on 29-of-47 passing. 2002: With 230 completions in 401 attempts for 2,468 yards and 19 TDs, posted one of the top passing and total offense seasons in school history. Finished his first season as a starter with a victory in the Hawaii Bowl where he completed 20-of-39 passes for 240 yards, rushed for a pair of touchdowns and a two-point conversion and threw for another PAT. Completed 58% of his passes on the year and threw touchdown passes of 64 (vs. Southern Miss), 54 (vs. Navy), 43 (vs. ULM) and 44 (vs. Southern) yards. Finished the year with six rushing TDs. Threw 13 TD passes with just two interceptions and two 300-yard games during Tulane's four-game winning streak. Gained more rushing yards (236) than anyone on the team except Mewelde Moore. Ranked fourth in Conference USA in passing efficiency and total offense. Hit Nick Narcisse with a season and career long 64-yard touchdown pass to seal the win over Southern Miss (11/23). Earned C-USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors after tying a TU school record with five TD passes while completing 25-of-35 passes for 329 yards versus Navy (10/26). Rushed for a score versus Army (11/16) while completing 24-of-40 passes. Had a pair of 300-yard passing games, versus Navy and UL-Monroe (10/5), when he completed 21-of-35 passes. Threw four touchdown passes at ULM. Completed 31-of-48 passes (both career highs) for 236 yards versus East Carolina (9/14) to record the ninth-most completions in Tulane history. 2001: Played in three games as the backup to NFL Draftee Patrick Ramsey. Made his only start of the year against Army (10/27) with Ramsey injured, tallying three touchdowns and 384 yards on 25-of-39 passing. Also had a three-yard touchdown jaunt. His 384 passing yards is the eighth-best single-game total in school history, bettered by just three quarterbacks all-time. Played late in the East Carolina game (9/8), connecting on three-of-four passes, including a 50-yard touchdown strike to Roydell Williams. Suffered a knee injury in practice during Tulane's open week in September and missed the next two weeks of practice until returning to play against Army. 2000: Saw action in 10 games, completing 58-of-115 passes for 722 yards. Also rushed 59 times for 133 yards, third on the team. Was selected as the top freshman quarterback in Conference USA. Made his first career start against East Carolina (9/16), completing 20-of-35 passes for 299 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Ran for a pair of touchdowns in the win over Louisiana-Lafayette (10/7). Ran for a career-best 82 yards in the Army game (10/21). For much of the season, played several series per game, offering an alternate style to that of Patrick Ramsey. 1999: Redshirted due to NCAA transfer regulations, but did not lose a year of eligibility. Graduated early from high school and spent the Spring 1999 semester at UCLA before opting for Tulane. HIGH SCHOOL: A 1999 graduate of Venice High School in Venice, Calif., where he lettered for three years in football. Earned Parade All-America honors and was rated the No. 3 quarterback in the nation by PrepStar Magazine. Also a member of the Dallas Morning News National 100. PERSONAL: Jonathan Paul Losman. Born March 12, 1981. The son of Greg and Tricia Losman. Majoring in classical studies with a minor in media arts. Selected to the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall of 2001.
  18. Not a surprise. They could still trade him to Dallas, like TD did with Peerless.
  19. The ones over there who seem to have actually seen some Bills games think the Bills will be serious contenders if JP is "even OK." They realize we had no chance of being better than just outsdie the playoffs with Drew.
  20. Factors? Who wants to consider factors? Stats are black and white -- no reason to look at factors. Haven't you been paying attention?
  21. It's like talking to a wall. I didn't say ignore the stats. I just say one should understand those stats need to be looked it in the corect context. How can anyone in their right mind think a player is going to show what he is really worth when thrown in this type of situation? The game plan was not built around him -- it was built around Drew. Not trying to make a direct comparison between JP and Rottenburger, but Rottenburger didn't do too weel himself when he came off the bench in his first apperance -- where the team's game plan was built around someone else as well. He had some decent backs protecting him that first game, too. One more note: Don't forget that McGahee was also in the backfield when Drew didn't do so "great" against the Pats and Steelers.
  22. At what point will you stop ignoring the circumstances around those stats? What you have done here is not different than a journalist quoting someone without providing the proper context. As an example that really happened. A reporter wrote that General X said: "Marines cut the power in a large portion of Mosul." But the reporter did not mention that the general explained that the power outage was necessary for Marines to get a power plant back online in the area. Big difference, right? By the way, it was an Arab newspaper. Let's take a look at one of your recent posts: You wrote: "Since JP is such a great scambler, not injury prone, and can get an extra 8-12 seconds moving around in the pocket." Sounds like you're high on JP. But the full post actually read: "Since JP is such a great scambler, not injury prone, and can get an extra 8-12 seconds moving around in the pocket. we have no reason to upgrade our line or get rid of Travis. Since he won't need to block, or catch, since everyone know a WR can get open if given enough time. The releasing of Drew and making the stud JP our starter means that we probably don't need Willis' contract either. Let's just save the money and trade him. Henry is all we need, a straight ahead runner, with no blocking or receiving ability." By reading the full post it is apparent you were using a whole lot of sarcasm to make a point that is very different than what one would assume by just reading the first sentence. My point here is that by intentionally ignoring the fact that most of JP's bad stats came from being thrown in cold, right off the bench against a Pats team that had ravaged Bledsoe all night.
  23. What barb? I didn't hear this audio.
  24. Bill hasn't posted again since.... think he's still with us?
