  1. I am very dissappointed that Williams wants so much. I didn't think he'd take the "money is more important than winning" route, but he obviously has. I think lining up next to Sam Adams has evertything to do with his success the past two seasons. Unless he is signed by a team with another good DT, he'll be considered a bust by week 5. Didn't Williams talk Sam into coming to Buffalo? Didn't Williams say he really wanted to come back to Buffalo amd would be willing to take a little less than he could get on the open market? Maybe I'm remembering something that never was said. But asking for $5 million shows he has no intention of doing what is best for a team. I am holding out hope that this is just some stupid crap his agent is pulling, and Williams will come around and do the right thing.
  2. I think Nate is more important to the team simply because he'd be harder to replace.
  3. He has been very strong until this injury. He is known for great run blocking. Of course, just about any lineman playing for Denver is known for that. Of course (again), Teague came from Denver. I am pretty sure he was cut for cap reasons -- not because of his play.
  4. So trading Travis for Warran is good value for the Bills, but trading Travis for Shelton is bad value for the Bills. Oh, that makes perfect sense --
  5. A deal for Shelton is good. A deal for Shelton along with re-signing Jennings would be GREAT. Anyone think there is any chance of this? I doubt it, but I can hope like hell.
  6. I want Rabach in Buffalo blue by March 5. Aren't I nice giving TD two extra days?
  7. I'd kind of like to see those links, too. I am interested in seeing who was ranked ahead of TH. Was McGahee?
  8. I don't think 11th or 14th count as among "top ten." Just an observation.
  9. Someone is going to grab him. He had a very nice season last year -- his first season starting. He had about 600 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
  10. I second that one. It will be TD's "big grab" of the year.
  11. Dallas isn't go anywhere.
  12. I strongly believe it is in the Bills' best interests to bring back Phat, but I like Kevin Carter. He makes things happen and really put a hit on 'ya.
  13. That is exactly what I was talking about.
  14. Well, that is good too, but I'm still going to get drunk Wed.
  15. Damn it. Thanks for the info. I now have a reason to celebrate Wed., night. Bottoms up!
  16. This front loaded offer stuff is how TD was able to steal Spikes away from the Bengals without a battle. I still say TD should go out and try to sign Pollard first. If he isn't willing to come in at a decent price, then snatch Franks.
  17. Sure, there are no games to watch on Sundays, but we went from the Super Bowl right into cap cuts, to franchise tagging and now free agency starts next week. Moreover, the draft is what, two months away?! We have the combine right now as well. There will be a brief lull after the draft but then right back St. John Fisher (or East Rochester High School). I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way, we're undefeated.
  18. The one saving factor for JJ was that he just didn't come off as if he really believed what he was saying. He knows Drew is washed up, but he isn't ready to say goodbye to Tuna yet.
  19. Met her. She looks a lot more like 49 in person than she does with all the makeup. But, uh, yeah.
  20. What's up with the notes at the bottom of that page. It looks like it might not really be for sale. Either that or some kids put some bids on it. Whatever it is, so what? The reserve hasn't been met and it is at a half-million. Ha ha ha.
  21. About getting a draft pick. Do you think Shetlon is worth a second round pick? I think he is. Do you think we could draft a left tackle (or even a left guard) in the second round this year who would be able to start for us week one? I don't.
  22. Well, I for one am very happy they didn't go after Abraham harder. Moss out in AFC West is one thing, but I really don't want him in the AFC East. By the way, I believe our secondary will be one of the few this upcoming season that will be able to match up with the Raiders' receivers. If they can't get at least 70 yards on the ground against us, they'll have no chance.
  23. I could see the Deadskins make much better use out tof the value the Arington is, but I agree with d_wag -- that bonus he got last year really ties Gibbs' hands. I look forward to watching for that one.
  24. I think the past several days have helped Travis' value as several other RBs were taken off the market. I trust TD to get maximum value for TH. It has been written here several times already, and I agree, that even if Shelton is a slight step down from JJ, it still saves the Bills a good deal of cap space -- cap space that can be used to sign a good left guard. Take a half step back at LT to take three steps forward at LG, yeah, I'm for that. By the way, the word is that Shelton is better at run blocking than JJ, and JJ is better at pass blocking. Well, I sure hope to see our star running back get a lot more carries than our very young QB get passes.
