  1. Ouch, a little rough on Drew with that comment. Oh well, it is accurate as hell.
  2. I like the visit and will be very happy if Anthony Thomas signs. His style of smashing it up the middle would be a nice compliment to McGahee's style. Yes, Thomas has had some health problems. That is why he'll be a backup. Backs who are asked to slam into the line over and over again will be banged up. But as a backup he'll stay fresh, ready to fight for the extra yards when given the chance. The important issue is that he can handle the duties of a temporary starter is McGahee goes down for a week or two. I hope it gets done.
  3. Yeah, I think if we sign A-Train, Henry is a goner -- even if it means we have to take a fourth rounder for him. Simon would be great. But you're right, he's too expensive, I think.
  4. The big difference between Beebe and Josh Reed... Beebe had wheels -- Reed doesn't. Parrish has plenty of speed to exploit that nickel back.
  5. Someone is misreading the scouting reports. He has NOT been jammed at the line more than average in college. The expectation is that because of his size big corners will be able to jam him more in the NFL.
  6. Exactly! Remember Josh Reed having a good rookie year? It was because teams had to really watch Moulds and Price. Now teams have to really watch Moulds and Evans. It should be a good year for whoever our #3 WR is.
  7. GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green was arrested after a domestic violence incident, the Brown County sheriff's department said Tuesday. Deputies went to Green's Ledgeview home after a 911 call ended with a hang-up Monday night. The four-time Pro Bowler was arrested at about 10:10 p.m., was taken to the county jail, posted a $150 bond and was released about 11:50 p.m. Link
  8. Why does Fat Pat taking off mean more our corners will see more passes? If anything Pat's depatrure means teams will try running more on us. Besides, he didn't play many a lot of passing downs.
  9. The OC didn't have to make such a favorable comparison to other TEs he has coached. In other words, if you read between the lines, you should be able to detect how sincere a compliment is. My take is that this is a very sincere comment from Miami's OC. I think this is encouraging to say the least.
  10. Henry is at a very important point in his career. He and his agent should know right now that if he doesn't play his cards 100 percent correctly every day for the the next year or so, he is going to find himself on the outside looking in. He won't be able to find a halfway decent team willing to let him start or pay him anywhere near top-20 RB pay. I agree that if he or his agent have one working brain cell, he'll work as hard as he can to get ready for the year, play his fuggin' heart out at every chance, and then hope for the best next offseason.
  11. McGahee is no Thurman Thomas, who often said he owed a debt of gratitude to the Bills for picking him after everyone else passed on him. I really like McHahee's play on the field, but he has shown several signs in his short time inthe league so far that he is money hungry. That said, I'm thinking about putting a hit out on Rosenhaus.

  13. Ditto. Well put. Also, if actually have enough cap room to sign someone like Glenn, I'd rather see the Bills use that room use it for a real need -- like OT or DT.
  14. #11? Not bad at all. But Buffalo wouldn't have made the list at all if #11 was still on the team.
  15. God bless Spc. Pfister and every other man and woman serving our country.
  16. If he is cut, and I too believe he will be, it will be interesting to see if the Bills pick him up. I'm curious if TD was bluffing when the team recently leacked that they weren't really impressed with Shelton. Shelton may remember that and not even want to come to Buffalo.
  17. In my humble opinion that is the true test of a team's scouting department.
  18. At least it isn't #11.
  19. I believe we'll see MM really open up the playbook this year. He was just dying to try some high-flying, fast-moving schemes last year -- but he was grossly limited by a statue QB and a receiving corps that had but one speedster with hands. Now he has a mobile signal caller and two guys who can fly and catch. Now we’re going to see MM’s real strengths in offensive game planning. Stretching the field opens up the running game. Look at Oakland. Every team they play this year will have to take at least one defender away from stopping the run to avoid getting burnt deep. Because of the speed the Raiders have in their receivers, I rate Lamont Jordan high as I prepare for my fantasy draft. I believe the drafting of Roscoe also raises McGahee’s value in the same way. The three other teams in the AFC East have little depth at corner back. Which means having multiple receiving threats could prove very valuable down the stretch. We know the Pats can stop the run. Can they cover two speedsters, Eric Moulds, a tight end and McGahee? Can Miami, who just traded away Patrick Surtain? Or the Jets, considering Donnie Abraham is retiring now?
  20. I agree. Aiken has a lot of potential. This is it for him. His career is on the line this year, and I think he's going to come out strong. I'd guess he got more reps with Losman last year than Evans or Moulds did. By that I mean Aiken and JP should already have a handle on each other's timing. I think Fast Freddie goes to the practice squad and Reed is #3 to start and slips to #5 by midseason. Aiken moves up to #3 and Roscoe (I love his first name) finishes the year as #4.
  21. I'm loving the results of this poll so far.
  22. The Lions don't win more than 9 games this year. That's my prediction.
  23. "Game used gear coming soon..."
  24. Come on. I really don't have any respect for the FluffNews, but I know I for one was pretty surprised when Roscoe's name was called.
