  1. If he really likes to party that hard, then he won't be retiring this soon. "Parting" in Vegas cannot be cheap.
  2. This Vic jerk can kiss my arse. Just a couple of days ago he was writing that NO team in the league was going to give a third straight up for Travis. I know the line to load up on crow is pretty long, but he has every reason to be near the front of the line.
  3. I understand this thinking -- KC wore Priest Holmes out. They saw he was a super star and rode him into the ground. Now it is unlikely he'll finish a full season. I think with the WRs the Bills have, the'll be able to throw when needed. The early part of the season is going to be the important time for Willis to get a lot of carries and really shine. This is needed to give JP a chance to get a feel for full speed NFL play. I hope as the season progresses, JP will be able to throw more and depend on the run less.
  4. Verba can play. If he willing to be realistic in salary demands, bring him in.
  5. I fully agree that if it is really "a third round pick either way," I don't see why TD would pick Jax over Tenn. That leads me to believe Mort is wrong about that part -- or at least not totally right. It may come down to who sets more obtainable conditions to turn the pick into a second rounder.
  6. I don't know about all that. Aaron got even last year for the Bills -- pretty much ruined the entire season for the Jests.
  7. There is a much larger difference than that. Travis is coming into a team that is clearly demonstrating that it wants him. The Bills made no such showing. I am all for keeping Willis over Travis, but I can see why Travis feels so unwanted in Buffalo. Not to mention, and this is important, everybody and their brother knows Taylor couldn't play an entire season even if his life depended on it.
  8. Yes, indeed, J. Sorry, I hadn't seen your post yet when I hit submit.
  9. Two big signs that tell me this guy isn't really that much of an expert. He mentions several times that McGee went to the Pro Bowl as a corner back. That is not true, of course. He went as a return man. Second, he writes that Kevin Everett will provide a decent target for JP. Well, I certainly hope JP isn't throwing to Everett -- since he is sidelined for at least most of the season.
  10. I would have suggested the wineries, too, but I noticed Buffalo Baumer said his wife is pregnant. I agree with aussiew, just walking through the area, allowing yourself to take in the peacful setting there is great in itself.
  11. Such a shame
  12. I'm interested that no one has argued against the Jets belonging on this list. I guess we're all just too distracted by the Raiders, Seahawks, Cowgirls and Chiefs being here. I don't agree that the Jets got better this offseason. I think Pennington's shoulder is just as big a question mark as JP. The Jets have a big hold out problem and overall their defense is questionable at best. If they are better than the Bills this season, I don't think it is by much -- and I very much believe the Bills are in better shape longterm. The Vikes don't belong here either.
  13. I'd only take the Steelers if I could get rid of Cower. He'll win a lot of gmaes, but not the game. And that is all I'm interested in anymore. I think I'd only trade with the Pats if I could hire a solid offensive coordinator. And I'd trade with the Eagles if TO comes to camp. OK, I'd trade with the Pats no matter what. Ravens would be quite enticing, too.
  14. That is a damn good question. Really, it is a thread in itself.
  15. 450 Sheep Jump to Their Deaths Bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
  16. Very true. The Aussies are great allies. The South Koreans are pretty good, too.
  17. Even if I could only kill hundreds, I'll be damned if I'm going to just let that swarm kill me without at least putting up a fight.
  18. I get on at Fredericksburg at 7:15. Plenty of time for a city cop to pull up and sit in front of the station, as they've done in the past for no apparent reason. I think even that little move could be a deterant. The only change in the regular pattern today was that the conductor actually checked tickets. Wow, they're really going all out! I'm sure terrorists don't but tickets.
  19. Not even a single cop at my station. No dogs. No nothing. Not even increased security at the Metro station (Springfield) I get off VRE at. I would think they'd be taking this a bit more seriously today. Also, Amtrac still doesn't screen luggage at all.
  20. Yes, it should be played before every sports event. Here is a recent article that I think sums it up well. LINK: Star Telegram O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
  21. Did Willis ever do this show? Sorry if this has already been answered. I did a search and couldn't find anything.
  22. A place kicker and punter Camp fodder?
  23. Many thank, Lori. Sounds like a great meeting. I am really looking forward to seeing if Tim can prove himself worthy of the starting job.
  24. I actually think the Breakers will win that game.
  25. Doh! I forgot about Johnson. He's worse than Shual in my opinion.
