  1. "Tedy Bruschi for American of the Century." I need a new keyboard now.
  2. The six wins to reach 9-7 could come against the Pats, Jets, Stinkin' Fish, K.C., Panthers and Denver. Four out of six of those are home games -- and the other two are against teams we already beat this season. It is doable, but, damn, it isn't likely.
  3. #2 in the NFL -- not just the AFC. And he is #7 in the NFL in rushing TDs, which is pretty damn good considering how few times the offense gets down to the endzone.
  4. I just heard about that from a buddy at work. I missed it as I turned it off as soon as the game was officially over. I actually wish I had kept it on a little longer.
  5. Really, the answer isn't as clear cut as everyone here seems to think. If the Bills can come and beat K.C., yeah, maybe they can put a few good games together. The Pats obviously aren't going to be lighting up scoreboards anytime soon, so anything is possible. Let's put it this way -- who really thought the Bills even had a chance last night? But...that is likely to happen, so: nope.
  6. He's a hero, you know.
  7. He really came to play last night. The only guy ahead of him in the league for rushing yards is The Edge, and he is up by just 11 yards. He hasn't broken a big one yet, and I think it is just a matter of time before he does. But, I didn't think he showed much speed last night when he tried several time to get around the ends. 1. E. James IND 801 2. W. McGahee BUF 790 3. S. Alexander SEA 776 4. W. Dunn ATL 732 5. L. Tomlinson SD 728
  8. If Bellichick doesn't cut Pass for that unbelievably irresponsible and selfish play, he isn’t half the coach he is hyped to be. That said, I don't think I could see it replayed too many times.
  9. Didn't I also hear last night Bruschi won the game on his own last night (despite the fact that he failed to make one impact play) and is a real American hero?
  10. Bennie definately needs to go. Any coaching willing to stick with him at this point should be considered incompetent. I don't think he'll get cut simply because depth is an issue, but he cannot start another game as a Bill. IMHO, the starting o-line against K.C. should be: Peters-Gandy-Teague-Villareal-Williams And then, when Williams gets his bi-weekly hang-nail: Teague-Gandy-Preston-Villareal-Peters or Peters-Gandy-Preston-Villareal-Teague
  11. Thanks. I hadn't thought about moving Moulds to the #2 spot, but that is a good idea. The problem, of course, is Moulds' pride. He likely demand a trade in about three seconds, and he may stop passing on his knowledge to Evans, Parrish and Reed.
  12. ... to cry the "give us a chance to win now" cry. They had their chance, and they failed to take advantage of that chance. Did London Fletcher play last night? I know he did, but I don't recall hearing his name. How about Sam Adams and Lawyer Milloy? Oh yeah, I heard their names -- when they were getting knocked on their respective slow asses. Troy Vincent? He was out there, but he didn't do a damn thing. Nate "I'm the best league's CB" Clements? Yeah, saw him -- getting burned for a critical TD. So Moulds had a very nice game. But, in the end, he was the one flagged for the offensive interference, and he was the one running a route six yards too short. I think the OPI penalty was bull, but Moulds gave the ref the chance to pull a classic pro-Pats flag -- he should know better. In the end, his good game wasn't enough, and that is all that matters now. I'm not necessarily saying the Bills should start J.P. coming out of the bye week. My real point is that the vets have lost any right to complain if it happens.
  13. Watch out! Someone might call you a moron.
  14. My bad, I acknowledged I was just going off memory (which is obviously flawed) with the "right?" at the end of my sentence. So, should I persume that you attacked that one point of mine because you also disagree with my other points? Those were, by the way, that the coaches appear to have no confidence in KH throwing downfield, but KH is still the Bills best bet right now.
  15. This goes for this whole season so far -- there has not been one decent, effective halftime adjustment made. Not one. I see that as a major reason Gray will not be a head coach anywhere next year. But I see the same problem on the offensive side of the ball.
  16. It sure is tiring, isn't it?
  17. From where I was sitting, it looked like the coaching staff has zero confidence in KH's ability to throw downfield. It looks a lot like the way they were treating Lindell last year. I recall on at least three occasions yesterday where the Bills were in third-and-long situations. Instead of letting KH chuck it, they called draw plays and screens. It was complete giving up. Of course, I also recall KH throwing downfield all of, what, four times this year? And three of those were picked off, right? I like KH, I think we have a better chance to win with him right now, but the coaches need to figure something out to make up for his apparent rag arm.
  18. Marv said he'd like to take over the Bills again two years ago before TD hired MM. I thought then that maybe the Bills owed it to Marv, but really there is no such thing in the NFL. I agree that he likely couldn't handle the hours, etc., that would be needed.
  19. No, Tom Donahoe needs to be fired because he chose to hand the team over to another guy who has been out-coached regularly since he was hired. Damn it, he was schooled this week by Norv Freaking Turner. Weis had plenty of success in the NFL as an assitant. A lot more success, in my opinion, than Mularkey ever had. Now, Weis has quickly established a very good team modeled very much after the two-time defending World Champs. I believe each of the guys you mentioned made their reputations in college -- not in the NFL as Weis did. Yeah, Carroll had some time in the NFL, but he'd be a nobody if it wasn't for college ball. So, I am not sure where the "consistent" comment comes from. I think it is obvious that Donahoe picked the wrong guy, and such a mistake should cost him his job. If you don't see that, then so be it. I wonder if you think MM was the right choice, or if you think it is too early (23 games into his tenure) to tell? But my comment was far from "moranic."
  20. Weis has said on the record that he was interivewed. Weis said he wasn't hired because he would told TD he wanted to get rid of Bledsoe immediately. TD said no and that was that. Of course, a year and a half later, Bledsoe is throwing backbreaking picks for someone else and Weis is bringing greatness to what was a medicore program. TD should be fired for this single mistake.
  21. I read it a little while ago, but I would have missed it if I hadn't been looking for it.
  22. This game means everything to Holcomb and, therefore, Moulds. The Bills will score at least 30 in a win. If the Bills lose this one, they'll most likely lose the next one, too. Then MM will have to put Losman back in after the week off.
  23. It happens all the time. New wires usually have more money to pay reporters than a newspaper the size of the Snooze.
  24. I think getting Parrish some full-speed reps and hits before traveling to Foxboro would be more valuable to the Bills than the tape would be to Bellychick.
