  1. Week One of the 1989 season. At the stinkin' fish's 2-yard line with two seconds to go, #12 called his own number. Already in the shotgun, Kelly took three big steps back into the pocket and then took off, putting it all on the line straight up the middle. As fish converged on him, Jim Kelly done into the end zone as time expired. BILLS WIN!!!!
  2. Redskins wear white at home unless on primetime. Same with the stinkin' fish. I think
  3. Don't make it about Trump in defense or in offense on this issue and we might get somewhere. Kaep wasn't protesting to bring awareness when he started this. Read what he really said back when he was sitting during the anthem. He said he wouldn't stand for this country since it allows killing minorities for being minorities. It was after a photo of him sitting away from the field that he had to answer for his actions, and even then he mostly let others speak for him. Defend his Cop Pig socks and pro-Castro shirt. He guy despises the country I call home.
  4. Kaep is not willing to take back-up money. Nothing more really is needed to be said gien that. Plus, we have a thread with somewhere around 12 pages of this conversation already.
  5. Surely one doesn't expect me to interact with pessimists. On second thought, the 2018-19 Bills will finish 18-1 (the one loss will not be in February).
  6. Fair question. But mine were courtesy of de Tequila.
  7. Not a fan of this crew calling the game.
  8. Mr. Leg Whip? I do not, but good number.
  9. Terrible play call.
  10. I have about 20 jerseys from #12 to #95. But no #2 here. My kid has a #17, which I bought him in July. So do you have tickets for Sunday or are you just trying to tells others to waste their money?
  11. Is it possible McD didn't announce a starter today because he'd like the Chargers to spend more time reviewing film and game planning for two different QBs instead of focusing all their attention on just one?
  12. If your tickets (wait, do you have tickets @gridrick?), I hope they are next to mine. I could use the elbow room.
  13. It wasn't Beane. If Whaley wasn't in charge, which I agree is completely plausible, then so be it. And are you saying I am usually wrong?
  14. Whaley was let go the day after the draft that Jones and Whaley were taken in. Beane wasn't hired a little more than a week later.
  15. 15-1! Mark it down.
  16. FYI: Peterman and Jones were drafted by Whaley not Beane.
  17. Vegas should adjust the line accordingly.
  18. I hope and trust that McDermott doesn't care what any of us think of his answers. Everything he says and does should be strategic and designed to give the Bills all competitive advantage possible and minimize any advantage opposing teams may be able to gather from his remarks and the NFL-required reports. That's it; nothing more needed. Yeah, Bellycheat has earned the right to do exactly what I am hoping McDermott is trying to do. And I pray someday football fans will say the same about McDermott someday. Until then, do what you do, Coach.
  19. The other line of thinking is that our WRs aren't good enough and should be able to catch those NFL bullets. I don't know which is the right and wrong way of thinking. Clearly it would be a huge advantage to be able to catch them as the windows are tight.
  20. Not about Peterman.
  21. Star is a fair choice, but I am most disappointed that he played less than half the defensive snaps. Not enough for a $50M player. Benjamin seemed uninterested. Maybe I cannot really tell if that's the case watching it on TV, but that was my take. I don't think he put anything on film that will have teams clamoring to throw money at him next offseason. The players all remind us fans that they "understand it's a business," so they should let that understanding show in their on-field performance.
  22. I agree, he needs better touch. But there are times where a fastball is just what's needed, such as the bullet dropped by Benjamin in the endzone yesterday.
  23. Too early to tell. The only way to find out is to let Allen play. I guess the same could be said for Peterman, but I think it is clear Allen has elite talent. Don't keep him on the sidelines just because the rest of the team is bad. They used to say the same about Elway. He went to become a Super Bowl MVP.
  24. Agreed. But I think be belongs on this list because he got beat down game after game for two and half years in the NFL and still eventually became one of the all-time greats.
