  1. Reved? Here are a few of the active topics on this board right now: - This team is so !@#$ed. - NYJ Please Kick our Collective A55es! - Possible Conspiracy or last request - Who should replace TD? - A Call to Arms - If this is Holcomb's team...Then it's time to look for a new QB - This team really sucks...plain and simple - No Fried Bologna at the stadium=disaster of a season Does that sound reved to you?
  2. No, he didn't get the fans reved at all. Bills fans are smart enough to know that this team is going no where fast without rehauling the o-line and making some major upgrades on the d-line.
  3. I've never had to work in such a situation, but I think it would be very difficult to have someone work for me who was just my boss. I'd say the team would need to bring someone from the outside in for the GM slot. So RW might as well just fire TD and let the new GM bring in his own guys.
  4. I don't know that I could come back so soon. Dungy returns
  5. I don't think the arguement is that it is surprising that TD is willing to put the work into resigning a player. The tell-tale action here is that RW is still letting TD (or TM) do it.
  6. In general I'd say you're right, Cincy, but I have to agree with beerne on this particular one. This just renews my fear that we only have two possibilities: either TD is canned and TM takes over, or TD stays. Even in bussiness, if I know (or are even considering) firing a supervisor, there is no way I'm letting him make big-money desicions that will affect my company for several years. TM made the deal with Crowell, or TD is staying. But no matter what, our GM's first name is going to be Tom next year.
  7. Best shot - 23 Pats' cheerleaders are ugly and fat Boo - 39 - No coats allowed! 13 - Will you marry me? (Of course you'd have to switch teams... The Jills' pic is way too far away, but it is of course a worthy message.
  8. I still hope the Bills get Nagata, but Vernon is something special. Any one seen this video? All-American tape Amazing stuff for any receiver, let alone a tight end. He's got tree trunks for legs, and simply refuses to go down. He's only 6'3", but he has a 40" vertical.
  9. I watched Kiwanuka (and Watson) last night. I thought he looked as if he was playing at a speed much slower than ever seen in an NFL game. He didn't appear to really be going all out on every play. He only had one solo tackle and one assist, and zero sacks. Now Watson looked much faster than I was expecting. He was making plays from sideline to sideline, and he was the obvious on-field player. But...he didn't start. As soon as he came in though he was chasing the Nebraska QB all over the place. I was impressed.
  10. Didn't Michigan bench Watson this year because he is lazy? Other than that, I think Watson has the capabilities the Bills really, really need right now.
  11. OK. I agree with this. The Bills need a run-stuffer first and foremost, and it seems Ngata is the best man for the job. Say the Bills end up with the 13th pick...should the Bills then entertain the idea of trading up into the top-10 to ensure getting him? I kind of think so, depending on what other teams end up in front of us.
  12. I agree that Ferguson has many thing going for him. And I don't necessarily rate any OTs higher. But I've watched him play several times in person this year. I don't think he is worth a top-5 pick, or, maybe more importantly, the money that goes along with that. My biggest concern is that he seems to get injured when things start going south. Now that could be because he isn't a mean, nasty guy -- which is what I like in a OT -- or it could be that he is under 300 pounds. He is bound to get hurt a few times a year if he doesn't continue putting on weight, and if he does keep adding pounds, my guess is that he'll lose that finess that he has right now. Bottomline -- I don't think will be any better than Jonas Jennings.
  13. Well, I wouldn't take either. If the Bills were to trade up to the mid-20s, I'd just might take the other Winston (Winston Justice, SoCal). The Bills need someone with at least some NFL experience at LT, and witha high first round pick they need someone who can make at least a decent impact in '06.
  14. OK, I'll give you Super Mario, and A.J. Hawk would be tough to pass on, but I would NOT take Ferguson -- there is no way he'll be worth the money he is going to make. You can count on it.
  15. For sure. I'll go nuts if the Bills are able to land him. Otherwise, I'd be happy with Texas' Rod Wright or LSU's Claude Wroten. And I'd fully support drafting a second DT if the Hurricane's Orien Harris is still on the board in the 2nd Round. It is great for the Bills that this draft is so deep in defensive monsters.
  16. I think some of those guys are contemplating retirment -- not necessarily firing.
  17. HOPEFULLY, our next star defensive tackle will be on national television tomorrow night at his sixth ranked Oregon Ducks take on Oklahoma in San Diego in the Holiday Bowl. The game will be on CBS at 8 p.m. Here is a decent article: Ngata faces decision. I'm trying to figure out who else may swipe him before the Bills get the chance. Right now, if I were picking for the Bills, I'd take Ngata over anyone else (execpt Reggie Bush) in the draft.
  18. Think Berman would be interested? He could assign every Bill a cool nickname, put them on jerseys and make a mint for Ralph.
  19. I noticed that too. I guess that is the difference between winning nine games and winning five games. Depressing.
  20. He has NEVER missed an extra point. Never....now he will Sunday. And we won the game he missed that short one -- he also hit two others that same day.
  21. I wholeheartly say J.P., but I am sure Mularkey is going to ignore what is best for the team and instead focus on what may be best from himself, so he'll start Holcomb. This is why a good GM or owner steps in and fires a coach as soon as it is evident that it needs to be done. If Ralph has already decided that MM needs to go, then he should have already fired him -- don't wait around and let the guy waste prime opportunities to further develop and evaluate your first round draft pick QB. If Ralph hasn't decided, well then I understand why he won't live to see his bust in Canton.
  22. I'm not much of a Lindell fan, but you have to hand it to him this year. He is two for two from 50+, seven of 10 from 40-49 and his kickoffs are much deeper this year. This after being just one of three from 40+ last year. His off season was an obvious success, and I look forward to seeing what he can do by the next time the team takes over St. John Fisher.
  23. McGee, Stamer, Gandy, Lindell and Bobby April. Good stuff. Linky My fav: Should have thrown Fletcher on there.
  24. The real question here -- for us Bills fans -- is who may grab Haloti Ngata before you we do? I know the Rams may, but if they beat the Cowboys or we lose to the Jests, we pick ahead of them.
  25. That is f'in it! I am not going Saturday night, and I'm not even coming to Buffalo.
