  1. Hasslet, according to Smerlas, may be willing to work for cheap. But if anyone is screwing up the pay scales for assistants, it's Dan Snyder.
  2. My thoughts exactly! But if the Bills really have seemingly solved the o-line problem by then, there will be little guessing involved as other teams may make moves knowing we are targeting d-linemen. For instance, a team may jump ahead of us if they are hot after Watson of someone similar in the second round, because they'd know we're sitting at #40 just salivating.
  3. So far those sound pretty good. Don't forget that we have the best kick returner in football. TKO is on track to be back next year. Crowell looked very decent and got some valuable playing time. London just had a monster year. We still have a very good secondary. Our needs are clearly defined. Ralph said today he's ready for a spending spree.
  4. Ah! There may be the biggest attribute Marv will bring to help Mularkey -- common football sense, something MM seemingly lacks from time to time.
  5. Gibbs selects the players -- much like Marv will. I am pretty sure Marv said he will not be dealing with the cap anyway -- just like Gibbs. My point is that we have every reason to believe that Marv is most familiar with free agency than Gibbs was two years ago, when he re-took the Deadskins' job.
  6. Just because he hasn't been working for a team, working caps, doesn't mean he hasn't spent a great deal of time studying this situation. You know, the same things were said about Joe Gibbs two years ago -- he hadn't been in football since the pre-free agency period. And Gibbs was mangaing race cars -- not still working around football, which Levy has been doing.
  7. Thurman Thomas wasn't the most team-first kind of guy, but Marv knew how to keep him on track. Ditto with Bruuuuuce.

  9. Some one give Ralph a glass of water! Damn it!
  10. Also streaming from Ch 13: http://www.13wham.com/default.aspx It's working for me. Empty podium still.

  12. Thanks. That is the basic idea. I think it is more important to have experience on teh o-line than it is on the d-line.
  13. Yeah, but there is no way being the leader of the free world can be as hard as being an NFL GM or scout.
  14. Who could image?
  15. There are several mock drafts by "pros" who have Watson going in the first -- mostly to Atlanta or Seattle.
  16. Something doesn't make sense. It says Clement's firing is a surprise and then goes on to tell why anyone with a brain would be able to see this coming from 10 miles away.
  17. Starting four on the D-line: Schobel, Gabe Watson [2nd pick], Edwards and Super Mario [1st pick] Backups: Anderson, Kelsay, Bannan Gone are Adams, Denney and Sape Notice no free agents needed -- save that dough to fix the o-line. Yes, there are two rookies starting here. Maybe Anderson starts the season in front of Watson, but Gabe will take over by mid-season -- or Edwards will get hurt and it will be Anderson and Watson.
  18. Why the Lions job? Then next year when Millen gets kicked to the curb -- and everyone knows it is just a matter of time -- the new head coach does, too, so now you're a ex-coach fired twice in as many years.
  19. I second the nomination.
  20. Good points. I actually saw Levy given credit for that find on several Web sites.
  21. Didn't the Bills do this with Tasker and Lofton later in Tasker's career?
  22. If that's the case, my bad. I was going off this Steve Tasker - Special Teamer I thought NFLPlayers.com was a creditable source.
  23. The three tight ends whom were drafted in '87 were John Bosa, Jason Buck and Tony Woods.
