  1. Exactly! What better way to get out of a contract than to mouth off like this? You can use this tactic if you're ever in a lease but are ready to buy. Just make a lot of noise, have your dog crap all over the complex office's lawn, and do whatever you can to piss off the complex manager. After a month, if you haven't already been asked to leave, go into the office and ask what it would take to get out of your lease. Don't accept anything less than free! That is what Fat Sam is doing.
  2. He likely hired a bunch of his buddies to pick a really good one for him, but they were all so damn dumb they made one that was easy to guess -- then several crooks (from Boston) figured it out and robbed MM of all his cash. Then he put more money in the account, and his same idiot buddies couldn't figure out that they should have changed the pin, so more crooks (this time from southern Florida) stole all his money again. Eventually, he just gave up and just threw the few bucks he had left into the air and walked away.
  3. I got to stick with Sherman -- he'll bring continuity and discipline. He'll bring a winning attitude with him. And he may be able to eventually take over the HC/GM position. All that said, I would hard pressed to pass up on Mangini -- he'd likely bring Peppers in as out DC, which would be great for us and terrible for the Pats.
  4. I especially like that he has experience coaching both sides of the ball. He seems to have a decent resume -- of course, listing Bills Bellichick on his personal refferences doesn't hurt.
  5. I think Sherman would be ideal if is willing to come in with less-than-GM authority.
  6. If so, brilliant move Ralph, Marv! The team is saving some big bucks and getting rid of him. It couldn't work out better.... I don't think it is at all far-fetched to believe RW slapped MM around every day -- firing the coordinators and coaches against MM's will, taking away more and more decision making allowances, ect. If Ralph leaned on MM so hard that he had little choice but to walk away without the money, he made one hell of an outstanding business move. Now, Mr. Wilson, take that $3 million you just saved and buy the best coaches available! Now!
  7. I agree 100 percent. PJ will do great things for whoever gives him a chance at the next level. I just hope that whoever is not Billichick.
  8. I have to disagree with the statement that a 35/25 ratio with those knuckleheads under center is impressive -- especially considering the Rams have Steven Jackson, a big back who would like 30+ carries a game. The fact that the QBs still produced some yards is decent. but remember that the Rams play the Cards and 'Niners twice a year -- the toughest of defenses.
  9. He has a daughter named Jill -- at least he has that going for him. He has coached running backs, tight ends and QBs -- all positions that really need some mentoring on this team.
  10. McCarthy = the Packers accepting middle-of-the-pack at best = Farve is a sure gonner
  11. Yes, and he is capable every down of breaking up a run in the backfield before it even develops. He has been virtually unblockable this year.
  12. Ngata will go in the top-15, and I really hope he goes at #8 -- unless Super Mario is still on the board at that time.
  13. No thanks. Before the Brids, he was a DB coach in San Fran. He goes from one bad team to another. Bring in a proven defensive coordinator, damn it! Ralph is too cheap to make the Hall of Fame.
  14. Might as well... At home: Miami - Win New England - Loss N.Y. Jets - Win Jacksonville - Loss Tennessee - Win (homecoming from Travis) Green Bay - Win Minnesota - Win San Diego - Loss [of course, they are beatable if LT is taking the week off] (5-3 at home) Road games... Miami - Loss New England - Loss N.Y. Jets - Win Houston -Win Indianapolis - Loss Chicago - Loss Detroit -Win Baltimore - Win (4-4 on the road) 9-7 on the season.
  15. Aside from the Bears and the Colts, that is a pretty good road schedule. Maybe a Thanksgiving game this year?
  16. I think the Bills will either start on the road against the Ravens or at home against the Chargers. Ralph wouldn't want to start at home against a division rival as a homeopener is sure sellout, and so are most divisional games.
  17. The first (and probably only) Bills offensive lineman from the Super Bowl years to make the Hall of Fame will be Kent Hull. The league's best team also has the best center -- Indy's Jeff Saturday. The Steelers, among the best rushing teams, has their QB put his hands up Pro Bowler Jeff Hartings. The Bears' Olin Kreutz helped hias running back top 1,300 yeards. All three teams will be playing this weekend -- two of the teams will be at home. Mike Webster, a HOF center, was instrumental in getting the Steelers to the promise land four times. He Played in four Super Bowls and six AFC championship games. It's not a coincidence that great teams have great centers. IMHO, there is no more important position than center. All that said ... I really hope the Bills can land LECHARLES BENTLEY. 18. I think the Bills would have won more this year if they are a better line on either side of the ball, but I think the D-line's failures were more detrimental overall this year. The 2005 Bills banked everything on the defense being able to stop the run when it mattered, and they couldn’t even stop the run even when it didn’t matter. That said, I think the offensive line is usually more important, but even if the Bills somehow build the league’s best O-line, they won’t make the playoffs until they fix the D-line. Which should the Bills direct more of their salary cap toward? I was just wondering what the great football minds here think.
  19. I like Dr. Z, too. We may see a Bills or two at least mentioned when (if) he does the defense and special teams. I fully expect McGee to be an AP All-Pro.
  20. True, but I am especially hesitant to take someone who's "crappy game" came in that player's most important college game.
  21. Looking at Clumpy's great work and guessing a lilttle on the Adams cut and Moulds restruture, I think the Bills will have about 13 million to work with, which is a good number to do some shopping with. Of course, we have four first-day draft picks, so that is going to require a few bucks, too.
  22. Yeah, but Bush wasn't even in for the play.
