  1. Anyone here think that if SDS, the man who can see all of our IPs, ect., is continually defending Soprano, then maybe we should give Soprano the benifit of the doubt? Just a thought....
  2. Dan Snyder has been a lifelong Redskins fan. That's one big factor I want going for the guy owning the team I root for. These owners who look at an NFL team as just a business have a disadvatage to those who see a team for what it really is. Snyder has always been willing to spend the cash because he wants to win more than he wants to make money. The best part for Snyder is that his team's fanbase is so pumped with Joe Gibbs and company, the Skins are making more money now than ANY other U.S. pro sports team.
  3. What the hell are "rumors" anyway? Even WGR is citing rumors, too. It is stupid, stupid, stupid. I am fine with him coming in for a look, but I am sold on Sherman -- I hope the Bills are as well.
  4. That only happens if the Bills "fire" Gray, which apparently has not yet happened. I think wiley ole Ralph is aware of this and is holding Gray's contract until Gray quits, thus giving up his salary -- just like Mularkey did last week. If Gray refuses to quit, then he is an over-paid assitant DC. But I don't think Ralph is ready to pay him to work somewhere else.
  5. This will help the Skins a ton. Snyder is suddenly the best owner in the NFL, IMHO.
  6. Tails = Ass Ass = More losing More losing = the same old crap
  7. The Pats already named a new DC -- Pees, I believe.
  8. I would cry happy tears.
  9. I am pretty sure you're incorrect about the Bills givng up right to compensation for giving permission to talk to other teams. Payton reportly has been granted permission to speak with the Bills -- does that mean the Bills could hire him as their OC without owing Dallas anything? I think not. You can say it isn't the same thing, but it is. The bottomline is that Grey is conractually obligated to the Bills. Until the Bills release him from that contract, he cannot coach anywhere else, unless, as per NFL rules, another team offers Grey a promotion or comes to an agreement with the Bills.
  10. Cannot be.
  11. I hope Gray gets a DC job somewhere else. As long as his new job isn't a promotion, I believe the Bills will be entitled to some sort of compensation. I'd take a sixth or even seventh round pick for his contract rights. Of course any interested teams may just wait out the Bills, who may have to cut him loose eventually -- right? Unless the Bills outsmart everyone, keep Gray under contract until someone ponies up a pick, and brings in Haslett as the assistant head coach, defense -- like the Deadskins did with Gregg Williams. I really think Marv is playing here with nothing to lose.
  12. Honestly, I don't even want Jauron as a coordinator. But his players in Mo-Town seem to like him... Players: Jauron Has Left Imprint on Team But the fact of the matter is in this article:
  13. Just think -- he was nearly our "QB of the future."
  14. I believe that they did not interview Gray, which would have been an easy check in the box. That, to me, means Gray is a certain goner. The Bills are probably just keeping from announcing it so as to help Gray and themselves. If he is hired by another team, the other team will have to either make Gray a head coach, a assistant head coach, or give the Bills some type of compensation.
  15. Point taken. But there is no other team in the league (except maybe the Lions) that is in a more unsure state. No one knows where the team will play or even practice next season. No one knows to which city they will belong. Etc, etc, etc.
  16. The Bills reportedly have an interview with Payton scheduled. I would sure as hell think he'd rather come to Buffalo over the super instablitly in New Orleans.
  17. I really appreciate everyone's input -- especially CaliforniaCheez's, as he seemingly put the most effort into this -- but saying that CaliforniaCheez was the most objective is ridiculous. He clearly likes Sherman. Even the "negative points" in his post are quite positive. The fact that he focuses on communication is bad? It's a minus that he benches dirty players? I'm not going to take the time right now to quote each of the other posters who said Sherman has trouble with game-day adjustments, but I believe far more said that he has trouble making adjustments during the game.
  18. I agree -- and he may be the best choice out there. He did a decent job with the Giants until his last year -- much like Sherman in Green Bay. I really, really hope Levy and company remember the crap Jauron put on the field in Chicago. Levy hiring Jauron = Donahoe hiring Mularkey
  19. Thanks for all the insight. It is very enlighting. I try not to focus on negatives, but it seems the prevailing opinion is that Sherman makes poor mid-game adjustments, is not a good motivator, is a predictable play-caller, and may not be suited for developing young players -- well, that sounds a lot like the guy who just quit the Bills. But he is highly organized? Well, that sounds too much like Gregg Williams. But I really like hearing he is conservative and focuses on using TEs.
  20. My picks: 1. Sherman 2. Saunders 3. Haslett 4. Fasell 5. Grimm Just say no to Jauron and Capers (unless they are coming in as DC)!
  21. I have to say that Ralph MUST be smart enough to realize ticket sales will go way down if he hires Haslett. That doesn't matter to me, but I would guess it matters to him.
  22. Sherman seems to be the runaway choice right now, followed by Kubiak.
  23. I've seen the same reports, but I think it is interesting that Kubiak is still working for a team alive in the playoffs, meaning he hasn't even been in for an interview yet.
