  1. Holcomb would be my pick for that illustrious distinction.
  2. The Bills kinda made the list: Three instant impact moves Lawyer Milloy to Atlanta — Let's be honest; the Falcons were horrific at safety last year. Milloy adds credibility, toughness, leadership, a winning attitude, and the ability to make plays to the Falcons defense. Troy Vincent told me that the Falcons are getting a "difference maker" who can stuff the run and defend the pass by signing his former Bills teammate to a three-year $6 million deal with a $2.5 million signing bonus.
  3. My fav: Will Allen to Miami — In essence, the Dolphins trade Sam Madison for a cover corner that couldn't catch a cold if he ran around naked in Alaska. Not that we want to see that. Nick Saban made a bizarre choice when he inked Allen to a four-year, $12 million dollar deal.
  4. I still like the move (signing the tender), but the Bills better have another plan to put into place. I really like Wells though.
  5. He's sipping a Pina Colada with coconut rum at a Sandals resort in St. Lucia. He said send me an offer and I might leave paradise for a visit. It sounds like he is just waiting for the Iggles to come to their senses and re-sign him. But I think he, along with one decent FA signing at guard, would go a long, long way toward upgrading the o-line. The fact that he hasn't been given an offer may mean the Bills are content with keeping Peters at RT, IMHO.
  6. Already leaked: Philly vs. Raiders in the Hall of Fame game. Yeah, it is just a pre-season, but it is a leak.
  7. What are you talking about? Each team only gets one pick, and the Bills have their's at #8.
  8. I don't think this STUPID RUMOR is based on a thought that the Bills want to dump JP so they can draft one of the top-three QBs in this year's draft. If the STUPID RUMOR that the Bills are shopping JP turns out to be true, which I don't think will, then it is because the Bills feel Nall is the team's QB of the future. And you know what, maybe Nall is, but I think JP has earned a legit shot at the Bills' starting job this upcoming camp.
  9. Thanks for tha post -- very interesting. Damn, freakin' Bennie Anderson is going to hurt us again. So we should know Sunday, huh?
  10. He didn't attempt a pass last year. Is this guy a pocket passer? Can he scramble? 6-3, 230 is good size, but does he have any speed? I read here that he has a nice long ball. So does Bledsoe, but does Nall have much touch on the shorter passes? Basically, what are his weeknesses?
  11. On NFL.com, a release (Link) announcing who received what last year is dated March 21, 2005. Is this year's annoucement coming out tomorrow? I'm hoping for another 3rd-rounder.
  12. It is interesting that Graves said that without even reading the contract first. Here's to hoping something bizarre is indeed in there.
  13. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-r...ov=ap&type=lgns He is a big boy -- 6-foot-7, 365 pounds. Just don't let him get near the refs... or drive himself around (sound familiar?).
  14. Oh wait, you forgot one little difference. The Pats are a perennial Super Bowl contender, and the Bills have huge holes at just about every position.
  15. He didn't lift for the scouts, and he didn't run for time, but he looked damn good in the pass catching drills. Terps' Davis Burnishes a Strong Résumé I saw the video on the local news last night, and I agree that he looked very explosive. He was catching with his hands, which looked soft. He has a decent attitude, too.
  16. I would party until I die, as I would not have anything left to live for. I've promised myself (and my wife) that I would give up football once the Bills take it all.
  17. No. We'll draft A.J. Hawk -- then play Spikes, Fletcher, Posey, Crowell and Hawk all at the same time all game, so we won't have room on the field for a SS anyway. A 4-5-2 would kick ass.
  18. There are a good number of second- and third-tier guys in our critical needs positions. But filling the lines with those types won't get you into the playoffs.
  19. Any more info on this sneaky uncle calling in?
  20. What do you expect Arizona to say? This is obviously meant to save them either a player or at least some cash. If they don't come out and say this, the Bills could make an offer, what ever it is, it would be more than the tender, so 'Zona would either have to pay more or lose Wells. If the Bills want him, which I hope they do, they will make an offer and force the Cards to put their money where their mouth is.
  21. OK, trade next year's 1st and 4th for Denver's first first-rounder this year. Then trade our #8 to Minny for the 17th and their second and fourth. Still pick twice in the first, have two in the second, two in the third and two in the fourth. Then field a team of rookies.
  22. Ditto. If the plan is to stick with what we have, draft a couple guys, and then see what's left in May, well, we might as well still have TD at OBD. That just cannot be the plan. Can it?
  23. Hell, sign him then.
  24. The Buff Snooze reports: The Bills are expected to have more free-agent visitors this week. Defensive tackle Jermaine Haley, a former Miami Dolphin who was out of the NFL last season, is expected to visit, along with safety Keyon Nash, who has seen time with Oakland the past four seasons. There were indications out of New York the Bills may invite Jets free-agent left tackle Jason Fabini for a visit. Wow, some big names there.
