  1. I read somewhere that the compensation picks for last year's free agency would be annoucned today. Any one hear anything?
  2. The asking price is not necessarily going to be the sale price. If there are really several teams ready to put up, then the price will go up. It is a great thing that Houston is in on this. They have the first pick in each round, I believe, so any team that wants to beat them out has to raise the price by a round. In other words, if the Texans are already willing to give up the first pick in the fourth, then any other team has to come up with at least a thrid-rounder to stay in the Moulds sweepstakes.
  3. KFFL reports... It will only be difficult if Moulds and his goons make it difficult. This, IMHO, is EM's personal adviser further positioning in the media, trying to get his client released so he can walk away with his bonus from Buffalo and get a new one from another team. I am confident that Marv is much too smart to let that happen. I really want to know which teams "have shown interest." I want to know how he defines interest. Not hanging up when Johnson calls is not showing interest.
  4. Croyle has a future in the NFL, but I really hope it doesn't start in Buffalo. There are too many other needs to bring in yet another QB this high. There will still be good linemen from both sides of the ball, plus safeties and WRs will be out there.
  5. Very good for him. He is well deserving of this. My favorite part:
  6. Ha ha. That would be so great. The problem there is that Saban would see it not working and order MM to quit it. MM had that idiotic scheme cooked up in his head when he was the OC in Pitt, but Billy Cower wouldn't let him play that way. So he came to Buffalo and did it over and over again no matter what because he was in charge and because he has no sense of when to change your gameplan. I really wish MM was the stinkin' fish's head coach instead.
  7. This type of thing has to be a help in recruiting. It shows the team members are committed to winning. Of course, one would persume teams around the league are holding sessions like this now. Still, if I was player coming into to see if this was a place I'd like to play, I would like to be able to meet some of the team's stars during that visit.
  8. First off, the money paid to Nall is not big. It is back-up money and no more. Yes, the Bills have said they will allow Nall to compete for the starting job, but that is just what the current situation dictates. I do not see how any pro columnist could honest say telling a guy, no matter who he is, that he has a chance to compete for the starting job is the craziest move of the offseason. This columnist has lost all creditability with me.
  9. On second thought, Marv is clearly stayin away from the Walker types, those cuasing problems for their current teams. I think Marv understands the Bills team he took over has serious lockeroom, motivation and morale problems. He is seemingly aiming at fixing that situation first thing.
  10. I agree that is great. I understand London has been there for a while working out at the facility and reviewing game film. I am not surprised to see those names as among those in attendence. They are the guys Marv wants this team to evolove around. I am a little surprised to not see Holcomb's name there, and where is Nate? I really hope Fowler is there. I'd love to know he is already working on snapping it to J.P.
  11. This is the best Bills news I've heard in a long, long time.
  12. Isn't that a little hypocritical considering who you have the Bills drafting in your signature mock draft?
  13. I woudl trade a fourth straight up for him and no more. I would then give him a decent, but not huge, two-year deal. If he is fully healed, he would make a fine #2 behind Evans.
  14. I think that was the point. Read: sarcasm.
  15. We may not have gained anything, but at least the Pats are losing a tackle.
  16. Why not? It seems like a good move to me -- only drop seven spots and gain two more picks in a draft deep at the position we need.
  17. I'm having one of those days.
  18. OK, I have called in an accountant, and he tells me that the #15 and #22 for the #8 and Moulds would be a good deal. That would be equal to getting the 13th pick in the 2nd round for Moulds. Now let's do it.
  19. I like Marv's tactics with the Bills' free agents so far. Let them go out and test the market. This way we don't overpay and they feel like they got a fair shake.
  20. Yes, yes, I'm an idiot.
  21. OK, OK, I cannot read simple numbers. But that means you're trading Moulds for a late third, early fourth. Right? I think he worth more.
  22. Absoutley. The #15 pick would allow the Bills to snag a very good DT or OT. Then the Bills would have two 2nds, two 3rds, and two 4ths. The draft pary would be a whole of fun then.
  23. Yes, it is still beyond possibility. The value of the #15 and #29 cominbed is 1690 points, which is still less than the 1800 that the #8 is rated as. So, in essence, it would be like paying the Broncos to take Moulds. Here is a link.
  24. Oops, I meant they'd have to add the second or third to get Moulds, not just the #8.
