First, that's not possible if more than one team has two games or more. Second, he clearly said each team would only appear on Monday Night Football once this upcoming season. It was in response to a question about why Seattle wasn't among the first teams on MNF. He said it was because of the above stated rule and that the league wanted to have the Seahawks on later in the season, when games seemingly meant more.

Damn. I was hoping Jauron was going to get a shot at da'bears first thing. Oh, so much for Peter King's each team gets just one game on Monday night this year:

The Bills are hiring - Multimedia Producer

There you go. You know that commute would have been a lot more tolaratable if it was just cruising at 75 mph listening to Brother Wease. -

Bahh! It would be a great job for you. People in just about every major city drive upwards of two hours each way. I live south of D.C. and spend at least 90 minutes each way in traffic, unless I take the train in, and then I have a commute of "only" an hour each way. I'm not saying poor me, I'm saying go for it, and the commute won't be as bad as you think. Move to Batavia or something if you are really tied to the Rochester area. Just do something -- 'cause we need a REAL inside source. -
The Saints have released their home schedule: No help to us, but it is still a leak. Oh yeah, here is the link for those non-believers Linky.

Who's going to the Bills-Ravens game? Any idea on if a New Year's Eve game make it harder or easier to get tickets? My Bills Backers chapter is hoping to go up to the game.

What's your prediction of the Bills staying
scribo replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First off, that is short-sighted thinking. Owners also split up revenue from each team. The revenue from a team doing well in a large city will likely be larger than a team doing well in a small market. Add in the fact that smaller market teams may have a more difficult time doing well under the new CBA, per Ralph Wilson, and you may have to compare team doing well in a large city and team not doing well in a small market. -
How hard is it to guess the Bills pick?
scribo replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
everyone on there does agree on the first three picks, and they all believe Vernon Davis goes to San Fran. All of the picks for Buffalo seem quite possible. -

What percisely is a Cleveland trick? What did that city do to make it happen? Again, can anyone give me one serious reason other NFL owners would want the Bills to stay in Buffalo versus moving to a larger, richer city? -

I do not think the NFL gives a damn about Buffalo. As soon as it can, it will move the Bills to L.A. or Toronto. Really, give me one reason why moving the Bills to a larger market isn't a good idea for just about every other owner in the league. I cannot think of any. The one thing we have going for us is the fact that Cleveland got a new franchise after the original Browns were moved away. But I am not sure that is turning out well for the NFL, and they will take that into consideration. As a matter of a fact, the existence of the Browns is a detriment to the Bills' chances of staying in Buffalo. The league will assume, and maybe correctly so, that the fans who don't throw their support behind the team in its new city will instead become Browns fans because of Cleveland's proximity to Buffalo. -
I think the Grady Jackson signing will come after the draft, depending on who the Bills are able to get. I think it will be very difficult for other teams to predict who the Bills are going to pick in the first as things stand now. If they sign Jackson before the draft, it would easier to predict the Bills are going to stay away from Ngata or Bunkely at #8. That same can be said for floating rumors that J.P. is on the trading block. If they came out and flattly denied that, everyone would know Marv isn't going to be shaking Young's or Cutler's hand April 29.

Now trade our 5th round pick to GB
scribo replied to JimBob2232's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Walker is not the character type guy Marv wants. You know what, I don't think there are many guys like that in the NFL anymore, so I'm thinking we may not be able field a full team. -

Moulds to Houston, per ESPN/radio/Clayton
scribo replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just because Moulds agrees to terms with Houston does not mean the Bills have to trade him to that team. Yes, it obviously makes it a lot more likely that Moulds will be a Texan, but the Bills still need to make sure this is the best value possible for them. Give Philly and Denver a final shot to up the ante. -

This has to hurt both Modrak and Guy's credibility

What hurts their creditability? A fabricated rumor? -
I seem to recall someone on this board has a similar dislike for of Travis Henry.

This is way, way too vauge for this type of claim: That doesn't mean crap. So, how would some official who works at the NFL HQ know what the Bills are going to do? Oh, maybe they don't work at the NFL HQ; then tell me they work for a team -- tell me how they would be in the know. This is reporting 101, and Robinson is failing.
-
But not after the ball is away, which is clearly was. even if it wasn't intentional, and I am not sure it was, it was late. That is why Palmer was standing there. Yeah, maybe Palmer should have been a little more clued into what was happening at his feet, but von Oelhoffen slammed his shoulder pad right on Palmer's knee.
-
If von Oelhoffen doesn't make that hit, knocking Palmer out early in that playoff game, we may well have had a whole different playoffs, let alone Super Bowl.
-
Also a mention at the bottom that the Bills are targeting Winston Justice in the first and not Ngata. I liked Charles Robinson's coverage of the combine, but this just seems crazy. Well, I guess we'll find out how crazy it is eventually. I really would like to see the Bills keep J.P. If they cut him, who replaces him? I would think that means the Bills are indeed looking at one of the top-three QBs in the draft, but, as I just typed, Robinson says the Bills are after Justice.

A return to Chicago for Dick would be a decent storyline. Of course, we opened against the Texans last year, so I think makes it less likely. If at home, I could see the Jests being a likely opponent.
