  1. And that is why players hire agents.
  2. Actually, my brain must be sizzling in the heat 'cause I meant Ronnie Brown. But now that you mention it, I cannot see our DTs stopping the tiny Chris Brown on the one-yard line. Yes, I know the cover-2 calls for the linebackers to make those stops, but who is going to keep the guards off the LBs? Additionally, I think the larger Chris Brown is going to be traded by the Titans.
  3. I really don't understand what the Bills are thinking going into camp without even one massive goal-line roadblock on the rosters, but Jauron was a good defensive coordinator, so I will trust his decision on this for now. I expect the DTs to be very active, running around in the offensive backfields a lot, but I cannot see them stopping Chris Brown up the middle on 4th and goal from the one.
  4. The Titans bet their next decade on this guy, and I don't think it is is a safe bet at all. Oh freakin' well!
  5. I like it.
  6. Alright, Dawgg. What precisely were you thinking when you posted that you met our QB in a bar and then follow up with a mere four words? Not to speak for anyone else, but I think most everyone here would really like to hear all about your encounter. What was said? Was this in Rochester or Buffalo? What was his demeanor? Was he with a hottie? Was he drinking? Did he have the playbook with him? Was he flanked by Lee, Peerless, Josh and Roscoe? Any chance Moulds was there hanging with his buddy? Was he throwing water balloons? Did you ask him about Holcomb's weak arm?
  7. OK, anyone kind enough to share with us what Bruuuuuuuuuuce said?
  8. At least the fist Pats game, the second stinkin' fish game, the last Jests game, the 'Aints game and the Panthers game. But the question then is where would we be now if those games went the other way? Me thinks Meathhead, TD, Mike Williams, Sam Adams, Eric Moulds and Lawyer Milloy would still be in town.
  9. The professional side of the sport should be cancelled.
  10. Isn't this the Browns' second injury in as many days?
  11. Last year's coaching staff was undoubtedly the worst at mid-game adjustments I had every seen. On the other hand, they were among the best at writing opening scripts. But the game is obviously much more than the first three to four minutes of a game. In all, the lack of any ability to make changes to counter the opposing team's changes was the Bills biggest weakness last year.
  12. Sorry, I am from Rochester and I do pick Rochester as my answer to this post, but there is no way Farmington, Victor and Canandaigua can support something that big. The problem with Exit 44 is that there is little else around it. OK, Eastview Mall is one exit away, but I am pretty sure that is sucking in every penny there is to be spent in the area. The developer looking to do this must have never heard of Roseland Park.
  13. Did anyone see the holy one himself get destroyed? I didn't know this was possible. It must be a fake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBUczEwLJ6o
  14. I'll tell you what, in about 10 months Connor Byrne is going to have some braggin' rights as the only guy to write an article about the Bills everyday for a year. I will be impressed. I'm not sure how many of you know how time consuming something like that is, but it is much harder than I imagine the average fan realizes. He has had Q&A sessions with a couple of Bills, and he seems to be in touch with what Bills fans are thinking, likely from reading this board. If he is reading here, I wish he'd ID himself.
  15. Damn, things would be so much better if we could play the Texans 16 times a season.
  16. It is getting to the point at which you feel sorry for them. Nahhhhh. Lock 'em all up.
  17. A lot of people take that one prime time game in Denver from two years ago, in which Porter schooled Champ Bailey all night long, and assume he is that good every week. He is a real #1, and that in itself may make him worth a first-rounder, but ask a Raiders' fan, and you'll likely hear that Porter is slowing down.
  18. The D&C kicks the snot out of the Buffalo Snooze during the season. Yeah, the D&C probably gave Sal and Leo their last few days of vacation for the year.
  19. The bad news for Wire is that Bowen is also a stud on special teams, and his roster spot is much safer than Wire's. I think Wire is gone, and Aiken is right behind him. Sorry, but the Bills were careful to bring in players this off-season who could contribute at a set position AND special teams. I have to believe this was done so that the team would not have to use valuable roster spots for players who offered no more than special teams play. Wire and Aiken are no Steve Tasker, so I am not looking for Marv to give them such treatment.
  20. If the Bills finish last in the NFL this year, then yes, it is time to pick a new QB, so Quinn is my choice at this point. But I believe Losman will win the starting job for this year and for years to come.
  21. Bingo! Thank you, Dibs. A question I asked in the start of this thread was whether so many here would be excited abut Nance if he was drafted in the seventh? It appears most here see Merz as a practice squad guy this year, but as Dibs pointed out, he was apparently seen by the Bills as more valuable than Nance. Maybe this is because several of us had heard of Nance but not of Merz before the draft.
  22. Good stuff. Don't get down on yourself, you have a rep to hold up as the longest poster on the Wall. I understand the "lemming" phenomenon, I understand he had a Superbowl-winning QB throwing to him in college, and I understand a lot of teams were far from excited about this past draft's WR crop. But Nance proved the ACL was at least OK, Ben Rottenburger wasn't pitching for Miami (Ohio) in 2005, and as I stated a little earlier, 32 other WRs were taken, and eight of those 32 were taken in the 7th round, so teams were still looking for receivers until the end. The biggest negative I have found on Nance is that some scouts have questioned whether he is "quick" enough to get off the line cleanly. I could see that be a big issue in the transition for a WR moving from NCAA to NFL play. Lastly, I am not losing any sleep. I just noticed there seems to be a good number of posters here who are excited about Nance, and I was wondering if those people had a reason in mind about why he wasn't worth drafting but is potentially worth a roster spot?
  23. One other thing: There were 32 WRs who were drated.
  24. I'll stomp all over MM day and night, but I had confidence in Sam Wyche. It is hard to slam someone with the track record he had coming in.
  25. OK, despite his freakish hands and good 2005 season, he wasn't drafted. I still cannot figure out why. Is this just because he missed 2004 with a ripped up ACL? That doesn't sound logical to me considering his last year. OK, I understand he had a less-than-stellar combine workout. But he still was rated as high as the #4 WR on some Web sites the day before the draft. Is it just an anomaly that he didn't get drafted? Is he in the early lead for "biggest UDFA steal of the year"? That sure would be nice.
