  1. You got it. The Internet is killing mainstream media, so the excutives are looking to find niches to give viewers/readers a sense of belonging. Conservatives started watching Fox is such huge numbers that CNN started failing very badly. So now they know they lost the conservatives, so they aim to please the other side of the aisle. It is working to some point. Newspapers are following suit. Advertisers don't care whether newspaper content is ethical, as long as people are picking it up. People seem to pick up the newspapers that report the news the way they want to see it. It is skewing quite a bit.
  2. I have spent the past 10 years working in and around the mainstream media. There is a definate bias among most media agencies. Editorial standpoints do dictate how stories are covered. This is not new, but the emergence of Fox News has prompted several agencies, especially CNN, to be more blatant about said bias. It is all about money.
  3. There's a difference?
  4. My thoughts exactly. He is now taking it from Satan.
  5. May he rot in hell.
  6. Where percisely is Nance tearing it up these days? Of course, I was hoping he'd make the Bills' squad, too, but that is why the team pays Marv and company.
  7. Yobouty needs to play a lot. Other than that, play to win. We have plenty of rookies and young guns playing each week anyway. This is not the time to change that. Let's knock this cocky Baltimore team down. Let J.P. finish the season. He deserves it. Nall may be around next year, but I wouldn't be upset if Marv trades him and signs a vet backup or just keeps Holcomb. Nall has no future in Buffalo, don't waste the opportunit for J.P. to join one hell of an elite group of Bills QBs to take every snap in a season.
  8. I am really looking forward to it. I just got tickets to the game last night.
  9. Shelton needs to go regardless. He contributed to a couple of losses early in the season by missing blitzes and dropping easy passes. I have thought since maybe week four that he is the weakest link among the veteran starters.
  10. I liked one, and I have shown it to many fellow fans over the past year, but I don't remember seeing this one before; although it seems it is from a good 10 years ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjNCdXG1cKE
  11. And how did you come to that conclusion? Did you poll the players? London Fletcher was just on some show last week talking about going to a sportsbar to watch one of the Thursday night games.
  12. You're right, but this certainly won't be the first time an important game is seen by only a small fraction of the country. Hopefully, the game will run long and the Pats will have the Jags beat up quickly so CBS switches over to the Ralph with a good five minutes left.
  13. I thought the same thing, but the annoucers try passing it off like he is eating chili.
  14. I am going home to Rochester this weekend. I cannot afford to go Will I be able to see the game if I go to a sports bar or are they blacked out, too?
  15. A friend of mine who is a bio student at Cornell pretty much never washes his hands, especially not with anti-bacterial soap. And he never uses things like Purell, as he says it kills all the good bacteria your body produces to fight bad bacteria. I have yet to see him get sick.
  16. Well, again I ask, does anyone know where we can find a list of all the alternates? It is terrible that London and Lee got snubbed, so I want to know if it is possible that they didn't even make it as one of the alternates at their respective positions.
  17. This is a great service, but SackMarino is right. That said, I hope he can keep it going.
  18. He is 128 yards shy as of tonight. I know he was injured a couple of games, but I was hoping he'd have more yards than that by now. Wasn't he leading the league in rushing yards at one point this year? I guess it was before the bye. His 872 yards is good for 23rd in the league. Hell, a freakin' QB is beating him (Ron Mexico).
  19. Good point. And I distinctly remember Willis slowing down on a long TD run this past preseason so he could watch himself score.
  20. I'll be there, too. I live about 20 miles south of the stadium. It is a tough place to play, and our boys are going to need all the help we can provide. so start drinking right now!
  21. That is possoble given that the same article says Aaron is a linebacker.
  22. OK. I saw the Vince Young mention, but I am cannot find a listing of the alternates anywhere. Can anyone help?
  23. Great stuff, especially about the fact that the two losses were to a couple of the very best teams in the league and the losses were really close.
  24. I thought the same thing when I saw the AP article with the wrong score. It was my first game. It was simply great.
