  1. TD Chad Johnson. The AFC is just so much better than the NFC.
  2. Great, now we're going to have to watch our best player get railed over and over again the next day or so.
  3. Holy crap did Brian just get run over. F U, Sean Taylor. Does someone need to tell this assclown that he is at the Pro Bowl and the guy he just crushed is a freakin' punter?
  4. I think we get better if we replace Nate with Asante or Harper. And I think we potentially get better in the long run if London is replaced by Patrick Willis.
  5. The name Okoye in Nigerian means “blessed on Sundays.”
  6. I agree. He should be a lock now. Five Super Bowls is unmatchable, I think.
  7. Manning better say his line and RBs earned it just as much as he did.
  8. I am happy for him. And Pete, too.
  9. Say what you want about GoDaddy.com, but I cannot think of another company that has made more from its Super Bowl ads.
  10. Simms is smoking crack, in my not-so-humble opinion. No way does Rhodes deserve it over Addai and Manning.
  11. I already voted for him. It will be a quite story to have a rookie win it. I think Peyton will take it, though.
  12. I was in Chicago during the game, and I think every station there played that nonstop for the next week.
  13. OK. They just played the infamous Denny Green rant after his loss to the Bears back in October. They played that "Had a Bad Day" song over it, and it was funny enough that I almost retract my original post on this thread.
  14. Am I the only who is finding this very hard to watch? Most of the "special guests" they have had on are simply stupid.
  15. I agree that the Bills should play this up as much as possible. The team has assembled a pretty good marketing and media team, so they should be told to really focus on promoting this within and outside the team's fanbase. The team should organize a large convoy of buses and personal vehicles from the stadium all the way to Canton. Hold a party at the stadium before heading for Ohio, and then sell tickets to ride the bus, while also inviting fans to follow the buses in their own vehicles. It would garner national attention and speak volumes about the dedication and support from both the fanbase and the team.
  16. Should we deduce from this that Jimbo would toss the coin if a Super Bowl was ever held in Buffalo? Isn't a Super Bowl in Buffalo part of that crazy e-mail rumor?
  17. There are at least three, IMHO. Harrison, Manning and Urlacher are each going. Who else? Maybe Jeff Saturday and Reggie Wayne or some young guys who are still up and coming such as . Maybe even Ruben. No matter what, the Super Bowl is always great to watch as you know you are watching historic players.
  18. I hate Mario. I hate Brady. I hate people.
  19. Don't forget Houston actually had to come back in The Great Comeback to tie that game and force overtime.
  20. I recall that is did rain late in the third. I think the fumbled snap on the botched field goal attempt was blamed on a wet ball. But the carpet was fast. The receivers on both sides were flying that day.
  21. I was hoping 100 percent for a run. It seemed pretty obvious the Pats were looking for the pass. It think they were dropping enough people back that they would have had the endzone covered. The Colts only needed two yards (I believe) for a first down; he didn't have to get in the endzone. An incomplete pass would have given Brady too much time. It was the right call, IMHO. The fact that they were able to make that call and be succesful is what sets this Indy team from those of the last several years.
  22. Tonight: 18 points The Great Comeback: 32 points Tonight: Started with two minutes left in the first half after the Pats punted. The Great Comeback: Started about two minutes into the second half, just after the Oilers picked off Frank Reich and ran it back 58 yards for a what seemed like a certain back-breaking TD. Tonight: The comeback is orchestrated by the league's biggest star QB The Great Comeback: The comeback is orchestrated by a backup QB Tonight: Ended in regulation The Great Comeback: Ended in overtime Tonight: No really big or amazing plays by the winning team. The Great Comeback: The winning team recovered an onside kick, blocked a field goal, and scored an 18-yard TD on 4th and 5. I am happy for Polian, and I realize there is no comparing the gravity of a conference championship game to that of a simple wildcard game, but The Great Comeback is the best playoff game ever in my humble opinion.
  23. Of the list metioned, I would consider the following better than the guy you ended up with: Schottenheimer (he did impressive things with a much less talented team than Cameron did in SoCal), Martz (he has the experience the stinkin' fish need if they have any hope of moving forward quickly), and Whisenhunt (he can figure out ways to use your RBs, which Meathead was unable to do and Cameron may not be able to do).
  24. I got the same joke e-mailed to me last week, but God was a Raven's fan in that version. Let's hope for the same results.
  25. Boomer Eisiason does a weekly 10-minute spot on a D.C. radio show each Friday. He said yesterday that Marino still has a good deal of influence on the stinkin' fish's moves. I think it is interesting that an old QB with no front office experience would be hired one year as the GM, or whatever his title was, and then still be given pull after he walked away from the job three minutes after being hired. Anyone here think Ralph would hire Jimbo as our GM if he applied? Anyone thing Jimbo was consulted when the team hired Jauron? Not me. Bottom-line is that I am thankful for the stinkin' fish's owner.
