  1. I initially thought the same thing, but then I was reminded by others here of the whole Ruben Brown situation. I for one wanted Ruben to go, and I thought he woudl stink it up in Chi-town. I think most of us did. But the "scene change" served him very well. There is also the fac that Williams was protecting a couple turds at QB, had some of the worst coaching in recent history and was playing alongside a few other high-round draft picks who were also sucking, which means to me that it may not have been the players' talent that was lacking.
  2. Many of these guys cashing in yesterday will only see the "guaranteed money," which is why that is the truly important part of these contracts.
  3. France also has Mughelli in his stable. I am thinking France's big day yesterday puts him up there with Rottenhouse as the top NFL agent. Which means it is very good the Bills apparently have a good relationship with him.
  4. From this morning's Washington Post:
  5. That is a good point. Of course, the Deadskins sign plenty of long contracts but always rip them up long before they are played out.
  6. I do not think the Bills would be wise to sign a feature RB before they trade Willis, as such a move would lower McGahee's trade value. But the Bills could bring in A-Train's replacement, presuming he is gone.
  7. How is it that an o-line with Gallery, Grove and a 6'8" tackle suck so badly? It has to be much more than the players. Many, many of us here desperately wanted the Bills to draft Gallery and Grove. They looked like chumps last year. Whatever made them look so bad likely also made Walker look bad. I am willing to give the Bills' staff the benefit of the doubt on this one.
  8. I was responding to a Niners fans who came to the Wall. But you are right, they are a young team seemingly headed in the right direction. Maybe we'll play them in Super Bowl 43.
  9. You need to consider the Bills had the most difficult schedule in the entire league, and we still were in just about every game, losing to the Chargers, Colts and Patriots by a combined total of six points. I agree that the Niners have showed solid progress over the past two years, but your boys had one of NFL's easiest schedules in '06. There is not doubt the Bills are the better team right now. The NFC in general is remarably weaker than the AFC. You guys finished with thte same record, but you were fortunate enough to play the Lams and Cards twice each. Oops, you guys lost to the Cards -- twice. How did you do agains the sorry Packers?
  10. What sense does that make? He is a left guard. Walker is a right tackle.
  11. Not at all true. There are several posters here who provide insightful, positive posts that stand out. And those posts certainly are not always negative. But, again, your posts tonight have got my attention. I am a lot less upbeat about the Walker signing now.
  12. I was impressed that your view on this guy has history that was easily proven. My other point was that it might be more quickly believed if you bothered to post when there are positive things, too.
  13. I was getting ready to jump on LaDairis, as it seems like he is a pretty negative guy. That still may be the case, but I looked back at his old posts, and he was tearing Walker apart back in October 2005 when Robert Gallery was tossed over to play RT because it seems Walker was doing prety poorly. Of course, looking at those posts, it seems like LaDairis only comes out to attack.
  14. I have to Billieve the Bills have a solid plan to let London escape that cheaply.
  15. I would go with Willis. I really liked what I saw in the Senior Bowl and at the combine. He has outstanding speed and very good size.

  17. I actually was not making excuses for anyone. I do think Walker is now our starting RT given that his contract is sizable.
  18. Too bad for London. That is just about the last team I would want to end up on, and that is not that great of money. Oh, and the way Snyder works, he will be asking F-B to take a pay cut by mid-season to make room for signing more big name old guys.
  19. Trade one Willis and draft another.
  20. I think he is only the highest paid defensive player in history. Peyton has to be making more.
  21. Really, we may be just one right guard from having a very legit playoff-caliber o-line. You know, JP must be one happy man today.
  22. I would be fine with the Bills bringing him back. Am I the only one here who saw what he did against us in Week 17?
  23. Of course the talking sports heads are going to say that. They have been using Nate as one of the prime guys to get the viewers excited about Free Agent Friday. Clayton and just about everyone else named Nate the top FA on the market. This big payday just validates what Clayton and company have been saying.
  24. I guess it is the after-effect of the team finally doing what all us fans have been hoping and praying for for years. We are just damn excited.
  25. Having lived in several football towns around the country over the past decade, I think I can say that Bills' fans have a solid reputation around the league. I think the fact that the stadium is still so loud each week despite tough times, weather and small market speaks voumes to those looking in from the outside. And I think our recently signed players come across as so positive because that is what comes out of the types our current administration aims for.
