  1. Bingo! Turner has proved more about his abilities in the NFL than any college RB out there. Plus, I love the possibility of being able to use our 1st on Willis rather than Lynch.
  2. 1. Jim Brown 2. OJ 3. Barry Sanders 4. Walter Payton 4. Emmitt Smith 5. O.J. Simpson 7. Gale Sayers 8. Earl Campbell 9. Thurman Thomas 10. LaDainian Tomlinson
  3. I often think about what my life would be like if I lived in just a few places. I went through grade and middle and early high school in the South Wedge (School 28 then 12, Jefferson Middle, East High), and then went to Fairport for half my freshman year on. I joined the Marine Corps after two years at FLCC. I haven't moved back since. This country has a lot to offer, but as you stated, it depends on what you are looking for. I live in the Washington, D.C., area because the job market is so much stronger than WNY. I miss the calmness and realness of WNY, but there are trade-offs for everything.
  4. I lived there for 21+ years. I am not saying there is anything "wrong" with my hometown, but you might understand what I am saying after living in other cities around this great country, as I have. You don't need to be defensive of the greater Rochester area with me. I love it, I defend it whenever given the chance, and I think it is a great place to raise a family. But, there are better places to live, in my very humble opinion, depending on what interests you. Home slice, huh?
  5. I am guessing he can be signed really, really cheap now. It boggles my feable mind how guys such as this can risk and eventually throw away all the wealth and fame of the NFL over pot. I mean, damn, it is so not worth it.
  6. I think he would have been an ideal signing for the Bills, with maybe a a three-year deal. Withouth him, CB is a major need for us in the draft in my humble opinon.
  7. Scribo is Latin for writer, which is what I do for a living.
  8. The Jills make me proud of the Bills organization.
  9. Sounds good, man. I'll be here if you need a ride up. Have fun in Happy Valley. Good times to come for you, for sure. Oh yeah, I've had a few pops at Greveys. I believe the owner is from Buffalo. The wings are fairly authentic (with Franks). Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in Herndon, VA, is the best Buffalo place in our area.
  10. Yeah. I have an SUV with third-row seating. I often go up Saturday and come down after the game Sunday night.
  11. Dude, are you really leaving OC, MD? For Rochester? Just come to this side of the Bay Bridge (Annapolis) and you can make the run up to the Ralph eight Sundays a year (plus playoffs some day) without much of a problem.
  12. Good question. I think it just means that it is time to make fun of last night's big hoax. Glad to see you are still around.
  13. Other than the reported conract numbers being way too large, the post seemed pretty plausible at first glance. the poster had listed in his profile that he lived in Nashville, and such news very well break in the signee's old team' hometown.
  14. Too true, Jim Bob. Considering so many new posters just recently came aboard, maybe someone should come up with a Wall-specific dictionary. Of course, it can be fun decoding all this stevestojan.
  15. Since Frez is offline and you just registered, I will answer. He is not serious. It is a long standing joke here on the Stadium Wall to say you saw someone at the Buffalo airport. I believe it originated when someone said they saw George Seiffert at the Buffalo airport way back whenever and speculated that it meant he was a canidate for the Bills' then vacent head coach position. But I am not 100 percent sure. Anyway...welcome to the Wall!
  16. I am a proponet of drafting Lynch, but I will say his video makes it look like he runs east and west too much for the NFL. But I noticed that he has excellent feet, very quick and they never stop. He also has a terrific stide, but as long as it is, he naturally keeps him legs directly under him all the time, which enables him to bounce off tacklers.
  17. This one? He looks damn good to me. Of course, he is no Ginn
  18. Ha ha. I see georg793 is online and reading this thread right now. How about a response, georg793?
  19. I just called the station's sports desk. They have NOT reported any such thing, according to the evening sports director.
  20. I believe he played under Fairchild, so that is one plus for us.
  21. It is also a good reminder of what TKO could do when he was healthy.
  22. The criminal accusations were found to be BS. He wasn't even arrested. The DA, who is known for getting maximum punishments for domestic abusers, said it seemed as if someone was trying to get into Lynch’s pockets just before his big payday. By all accounts from coaches and teammates, Lynch was the team' locker-room and on-field leader. He was known for being very supportive of his teammates and community.
  23. I agree. I think we need to sign Nick Harper. The DT need can be filled in the later rounds, as I think the Bills already have their starters set there. Yes, FB is still a need, but Fairchild doesn't really use that position much anyway. Both Lynch and Willis would likely start from Week One on.
  24. Who would you take with the #12 pick? Joe Thomas and Levi Brown will almost certainly be gone at that point. I don't think there is another O-lineman worthy of that slot this year.
  25. Ha ha. I was listening too and just rolling around laughing because I knew the they didn't have the offense to win against either. The higher one sticks his nose, the easier it is to punch him in the throat.
