Who did the seeding? I think Billy has a shot at winning it all.

I urge everyone here to demonstrate constraint during this trying time. Buffalo is not a shithole or anything of the sort. It is OK to get excited when you see happen upon one of the stars of your favorite football team. Canadians AND Western New Yorkers know how to drink well, and many of us know how to drink responsibly. But in the end, we are all Bills fans and we need to stick together in times like this. To quote Mr. King, why cannot we all just get along?

That's what I got from this, as well. I am dissappointed as I think Greer played better at corner than McGee did last year, and I think McGee can be a Pro Bowl returner again if he is only playing as the nickle back. The best news right now is that we suddenly have good depth at corner.

Correct, which is why Dexter was just shown on CBS, and Big Brother (Up All Night) is shown on Showtime.

Anti-Bills presence at Argos training camp?
scribo replied to scribo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Excellent catch, Lori. I am so use to reading these days about people wanting to get into marketing that I just skipped over that obvious sign that Sterling Halliday should know better and likely knows enough. He should know the Bills coming to town a couple weekends a year is great for the city and should be leveraged by the Argos into a positive turn of events. Rather than worrying about losing its fans' cash to the Bills, they should trying to find ways to turn Bills fans into Argos' fans, too. And his course of study tells me he is just trying to make a buck off the situation. -
Anti-Bills presence at Argos training camp?

By that, do you mean something along the lines of the fact that statstics show just about anything can happen given enough chances? How many times would you think a CFL would win in 10 games? In 100 games? -
I am very comfortable with our RB corps. Yes, I hope this crap with Lynch is resolved without costing him any playing time, but I strongly oppose bringing in any other back just because of this. Think about it -- we need to be prepared for our top guy to miss time anyway. This is the NFL where everyone is so big and hitting so hard that most starting RBs miss a game or more every season to injuries. If we don't have depth the coaching staff can have confidence in any way, we are in a lot of trouble. That all said, I hope Marshawn is stalling so he can find a "buddy" willing to take the fall for some dough. Hell, for $50Gs, I'd do it.

Anti-Bills presence at Argos training camp?

Is it safe to say then that just about no one here believes a CFL team could beat an NFL team? -

It is Google's answer to MyYahoo! If you don't know that is, it is basically a page one can customize for themselves with verious gadgets, RSS feeds, their e-mail inboxes, etc. -

He needs to submit it to Google. The directions on how to do so are in the same directions on how to make one of these. -
Argos notebook: Anti-Bills presence at training camp I got a kick out of this whole article. First, the father-son duo say they are anti-Bills and want to spread their feelings. But if you read the whole section, they are selling the t-shirts for $15 a piece! Ha ha. That tells me that they are just looking to make a buck off what they hope are ant-Bills feelings. It is funny but not unusal for muck rakers to focus on one small group and try to make it seem as if they represent a much larger group. The best for me was when the father said the CFL deserved more respect and recognition. He is quoted as saying, “Under Canadian rules in a CFL stadium a CFL team would beat a NFL team no problem.” Now skip down a mere seven sentences. It talks about what a big deal it is for the Argos to have a former NFL receiver on their roster. Who is this superstar exciting the many Argo fans? Bethel Johnson, a guy who was cut from four NFL teams over a few months two years ago. So my questions for you CFL fans out there are simple. First, should Argo fans hate the Bills? Second, is there a CFL team that could beat the stinkin' fish right now? Lastly, how would the Argos do against the Bills playing in Toronto under CFL rules?

Even though I was definately being sarcastic, the only thing anyone called me on was my observation of Stroud's personal opinion.

The Falcons just screwed everything up. SI reports...

I could deal with that if it made the team better, but I am pulling for Greer, who is younger than James, to earn that starting spot and really emerge as a star.

Thank you for your service and sacrifices. Be safe and try to keep the sand off your bolt. God bless. -
As I've been saying since the Bills drfted McKelvin, it will be McGee losing the starting corner job -- not Greer. Note, it was McGee with the reduced role today. Greer really shined last year, IMHO, and McGee can be a great nickle back while also spending more of his energy on returning to the Pro Bowl as a kick returner.

I don't know... Lee kept looking down after catching each ball, which might mean he isn't focused on getting up the field or it might mean he is just thinking about making big money in a new contract. Marcus doesn't seem as big as advertised. His shoulders are so slouchy. And am I the only one who saw him completely taken out of that play by a backup tackle? I agree with Paul’s self-assessment -- he is really rusty. I am pretty sure he badly over pursued and would have missed that critical tackle, letting the running back take it to the house. I also noticed all the balls thrown James' way were quite high, which is particularly disappointing since he is already so tall -- damn, Trent, are you getting old already? James, what's up with the smiling? Aren't you taking this seriously? /sarcasm I just thought we were getting too confident around here.

That address is not correct, and you should be summarily shot for posting it. -
I like his attitude, his readiness to lead and his height.

So, to be competitive with the cheating Pats*, we need to switch our defensive coordinator twice a year?

Awarding Purple Heart to veterans with PTSD?
scribo replied to scribo's topic in Off the Wall Archives
What do you mean OIF vets aren't receiving adequate mental health treatment? Are you an OIF vet? Do you mean that the VA isn't providing it or that the vets are coming forward for it? There is a big difference, and the public should know that the VA happens to be offering the very best mental health care available right now, but veterans, especially the younger OIF vets, aren't seeking the help until families, jobs and home are lost -- until they are in it deep. As for the politics of this, I believe the VA is underdfunded, but really no president or political party has been able to do enough to beat PTSD. -

It's so difficult because you are proposing we all at once change the collective minds of every military member and the minds of their influencers, who include many, many who don't and won't understand the true nature of PTSD. Plus, you have to take into account that the active duty, reserves and National Guardsmen lose and gain a large number of people every day from every walk of life. You are talking about deep systematic change that will take a long time, require many different tactics and cost a bundle. But it must be done one way or another. -
Awarding Purple Heart to veterans with PTSD?

That is a big challenge the military has been attempting to tackle for a long time. PTSD doesn't show up on a brain scan, and the symptoms are often sublte at first and confused with other ailments, such as concussions.
