Buffalo is a Sacred Place to Play a Football Game

Georgia is a 4.5 fave at the end of the game. Their QB rolls out and could score easily. Takes a knee at the 1 yard line - for some thing about respect to another player. It's not just the NBA - It's disgusting

I bought the book and read it last night. Interesting memoir. You are about 5 years older than me and I did not start following Bills football until I was a freshman at UB (1972). I saw the final game at War Memorial and the first game at the Ralph. In the 80's, I managed three Pizza Huts's - Camp Road, Orchard Park and East Aurora. Even in the drought years - the fan experience was chaotic. They were good (if not uplifting) times. Than my wife set up her first computer and someone showed me Prodigy. From 1995 (?) on - I breathed Bills, Never saw the BBMB but the D&C (Rochester) had something like it until it collapsed in anarchy. TBD already existed and then SDS created TSW. Lot One - Pole 5 was our Bills Universe If I had to pick out one memory - 23 January 1994 - the Bills foretold Joe Montana's retirement by knocking him out the game. Jeff Wright, Phil Hansen and Bruce Smith sandwiched Montana out of the game. Bills win 30-13 Then the NFL became the greedy monster it is today. The No Fun League sucked the joy out of Sundays P.S. Our first house was on Capen Blvd and my daughter attended Windemere, AMS and Amherst High. Eggertsville ruled!

Across the street from the drive-in (sometimes you even watched the movie!)

The Civic/Fan atmosphere was unreal. I was fortunate to live through it all. There was no NFL all intruive interference. Erie County shut down on Sunday. The end of XXV was tough but there were many failures. The second was tough too. I was fortunate to be at the Oiler game (yes, I have the ticket stub). As a sports city Buffalo was incredible (and the Sabres were not have bad either) If you have a tape of the game - the commercials were very low key - the era of "WO#W" had not happened yet

Way back when(19xx?) the Bills did a brick plaza for homage to fans. followers and groups like TSW. Anybody asking where that is going?

This "law" ? has been referenced before and Mr. Pegula previously had a public interview about the consequences https://dos.ny.gov/system/files/documents/2024/05/ticketreseller.pdf

Labatt to celebrate Bills final season at stadium with new beer Retailers and brands connected with the Buffalo Bills are looking to capitalize on the excitement and nostalgia swirling around the team’s final season in their stadium. Labatt is debuting the Labatt Blue Light Stadium Shandy − with three can designs − to celebrate the final season at the current Highmark Stadium and 52 years of memories. The limited-edition blueberry lemon shandy coming out this month is “as bittersweet as the closing of the stadium,” Labatt officials said. “This shandy was made to toast every epic tailgate, last-second win, and unforgettable Sunday shared in that stadium,” said Jason Folaron, brand manager for Labatt USA. “We wanted to create something that tastes like the moment − sweet for what’s ahead, a little bitter to leave it behind.” Labatt is a longtime partner of the Bills and will continue that sponsorship into the new stadium, set to open for the 2026 season. The company will be hosting in-stadium interactions, on-premises samplings, social giveaways and a Bills flyaway sweepstakes in support of the new offering.

It is hard for me to mourn Cheers with the passing of Norm. Only two sitcoms moved me back then. The other was Sports Night. Both shows had excellent characters and superior writing. My father who had little tolerance of mass market TV back at those time, always watched Cheers. He was from the 1940’s – 50’s generation and his 4 brothers frequented bars. I was able to spend some time in his failing years and liquid lunch was always there. He showed me how or treat restaurant staff, Anyway, back to Cheers. Dad said you could basically go into any neighborhood saloon and see all the characters. Only the names change. In my research – good call Dad! Norm – R.I.P. I Play Cliff
