  1. And his 2nd contract was literally the worst contract behind Miller's.
  2. That we needed a WR, and Beane still traded extra for Ford had me questioning his drafting skill. And we were chasing OL after he traded Teller, a future all pro, to Cleveland for snacks.
  3. Still, nearly 2 years difference is a big deal in players near 30. And Garret does turn 30 during the 2025 season. I'm sure you're right about the disparity in play. I simply do not want to mortgage 5 years future for 2 years play. My idea was to use Cook/Miller for Crosby with little to no picks. Maybe that's impractical. Maybe I have Cosby's value to high. IDK. But I sure as hell do not want to dance with another Von Miller pipe dream that blows up in our face - all because McBeane can't evaluate/draft DLs. PS: I was adamantly AGAINST the Von Miller signing. I knew it was a disaster then. Maybe it would have worked without the injury, but I'm not against a Garrett trade because of it.
  4. I'm not sure why giving up multiple 1sts for a soon-to-be 30 year old player is every Bills fans wet dream, but that is a disaster waiting to happen. At least with the disastrous Miller contract we didn't have to give up picks. But Maxx Crosby is another story. He's 27 and has exhibited some real Bills love in recent times. And Cook would go farther in satisfying the terms of a deal ... at a position of need.
  5. May I suggest a James Cook /Von Miller trade for Maxx Crosby? Cook would be their O star, and Miller could fill some pass rush need short term.
  6. I'm inclined to agree with you, but would need to know this first: How much influence does McDermott have on Beane's 1st thru 3rd round draft selections? Because the answer may also be - get McDermott out of the draft room. In either case, it is clear that Beane is a 100% needs drafter at the top of the draft. His success on Day 3 gives me hope that, if he prioritize talent like Philly and Baltimore, he can be equally as effective.
  7. Go back to the broadcast tape - the refs had a penalty flag queued up in case Buffalo converted the 4th. The flag mysteriously disappeared after the incompletion. With the still pending need to score and that much time left on the clock, no way the NFL was letting Buffalo walk away with a victory. Please note - I use the term NFL, not ref. New York is making decisions for THEIR entertainment product. Refs handle the small stuff, like f#cking over Buffalo's spots.
  8. It's called, picking for need. That's how Beane uses our premium picks. And it's why he is better on day 3 when he doesn't. That's why he trades up for Cody Ford when Metcalf would come to him.
  9. Agreed. The big mistake may have been passing on McConkey.
  10. Josh Allen was the only QB for me. When the trade was announced I knew it was Buffalo moving up. When he said "Josh" I knew it was Allen. I believed in Beane, I suppose. I figured he had to see what little I saw. In hindsight, I don't know if Beane has been all that in the premium drafting rounds. Maybe we were just lucky.
  11. Keon lookes like a WR1. I hope Cooper does the same at some point.
  12. Maybe it says more about how the Bills no longer want to be held hostage by a diva WR. The top WR salaries are stupid and potential cap-killers ... like Diggs' extension. That alone would make Bean double-pump at signing a CDL. So let's not assume OBD is oblivious to WR and offense. We may be witness to a new way of doing business: flood the field with varied and competent skill sets with multiple move packages and non-standard position assignments. Use the WR to make DC's go crazy, much like McD has done on defense with his safties. And save a gazillion dollars and headaches with the league's unquestionably #1 diva position.
  13. Is this still a question? Everything Diggs did showcased the fact that he is a toxic prima donna. When the first question out of a reporter's mouth for 2 years is, "How is your relationship with ... " then you have a problem. Even Diggs' tweets implied a kind of sh@t talk to JA, who NEVER said a bad thing about him in public. I am ecstatic that Diggs got traded. He was an anchor around the team's neck, with more leadership role than leadership talent. He disappeared after Brady, and the team started to win in impressive fashion. That is all we really need to know. He and Davis were empty targets in the end, and any combo of Samual, MSV, and Coleman added to Shakir, Kincaid, and Knox will highlight that JA doesn't need an overpaid me-first prima donna. Add Davis to the mix, and we will be better this year. F#ck Diggs. JA will create new stars.
  14. This lineup is stronger than last year. We are rid of WR drops and bad attitudes. Our safeties will outperform our old heroes. We will get better IOL play. And Coleman will make more highlight reels and game-winning catches than anyone in the 1st round.
  15. Gabe Davis taught the Bills this one important lesson: Nothing is more important than catching the football. We can also thank Gabe for drafting Kincaid and Colemam. I agree. We may be the best WR-hands team in the league. It has been said, and I am now fully on board: Keon Coleman has the best BALL SKILLS of any WR in this draft.
  16. This guy has more sacks than our DL. And returns punts. Meet the newest late-round McBeane DB gem.
  17. We radically changed our board. And got the better WR. Worthy will not be what you think he will. Keon looks like the next guy to catch 4 TDs against KC in the AFC Championship game. And do it year after year.
  18. I was on board with Ladd. Felt sick watching the Chargers celebrate at #34. Watched more Coleman of his highlights. I started to see it. He will be a super-charged Gabe Davis. He will catch all the TDs and close-calls Gabe dropped. He will catch all of Cooks dropped TDs in the red zone. He will get Josh's desperation passes running out the sideline in triple coverage. And catch them. I'm good. I encouraged my fellow Bills fans to back away from that ledge I was hanging over.
  19. Love it. Worthy has questionable hands, and doesn't play as fast as you think. Beane doesn't make that trade if he wanted Worthy. And I am glad.
  20. Yeah, seemed like we were a year too late on Diggs. That extension was up there with Miller's contract. The signing makes Dawkins worth more. Locked up in his prime. IDK if I got the bonus/cap hit right, though.
  21. Not to worry. I expected people to laugh at me. But remember it if it goes down tomorrow.
  22. My enduring mental pic of Dawkins will be (after telling the world Buffalo could not lose at home) of stepping on Josh and killing a Shakir TD. I doubt I'm the only one who noticed.
  23. Recall how many people thought the Collins signing was to turn Spencer Brown into a trade chip. Dawkins makes more sense.
  24. That would kill my fight of fancy, but I doubt it's accurate. Dion likely has a bunch of guaranteed money, but most can be passed on.
  25. Didn't they pay out some money to Diggs just before trading him? And doesn't the Dawkins terms make him more attractive?
